    Yeah man, thanks.
I find that to be an excellent episode to go off of.
As you can tell, this thread is filled, and will continue to be filled with pictures from the actual show.

I look at my upcoming season with BMS as a "season 4", the season that never was.

BMS CRUSHES FCS EAST TO KICK OFF SEASON RIGHT

Freshman running back Craig Shilo collects 4 touchdowns in first collegiate game, safety Tyrone Rucker adds 3 interception return touchdowns as Blue Mountain State destroys FCS opponent 76-7

Two hours before kickoff, Blue Mountain State's players menacingly rocked the bus of the visiting FCS EAST squad, as if they couldn't wait to get on the field. There would be no taking FCS EAST lightly.

Things started off slow and sluggish for the Blue Mountain State Mountain Goats on Thursday, but they wouldn't stay that way for long. The entire first quarter, FCS EAST and Blue Mountain State traded off unsuccessful drives, resulting in punts, but with just under half a minute remaining in the first quarter, new BMS head coach C. Massey had seen enough from his struggling offense, and decided to have his freshman quarterback Alex Moran unleash a bomb down the field on 3rd down. This was the result of Massey's call:

        https://<iframe width="640" height="...reen></iframe>

The 63 yard pass from Alex Moran to Jeff Dortch put the Goats in field goal range for Tedesco, who hit a field goal with 28 seconds left in the first quarter. The quarter would end with Blue Mountain State ahead, 3-0.

It didn't take long for things to get going for the Mountain Goats in the second quarter. After a quick 3 and out by the FCS team, BMS started a drive deep in their own territory. That didn't stop them from scoring however, as freshman tailback Craig Shilo took a pitch to the right side to the house for a 70 yard scamper. Here's a look at the run:

        https://<iframe width="640" height="...reen></iframe>

That put the Goats ahead 10-0. On the very next drive, BMS struck again, and this one will surely be a memorable one for BMS coaches, players, and fans a like, as Alex Moran threw his first TD pass, and Craig Shilo caught his first TD pass, in the same play. Here's to a great future for those young men:

        https://<iframe width="640" height="...reen></iframe>

That put BMS up 17-0. On the next FCS drive, freshman star linebacker Thad Castle collected his first INT as a Blue Mountain State Mountain Goat.

        2013-09-05_15.12.43.jpg
Thatd Castle's first INT. Here's to many more..

That interception by Thad Castle set up a Harmon Tedesco field goal, making it 20-0, still in the second quarter.

The rout is officially on at this point, as on the next FCS drive, sophomore SS/CB Tyrone Rucker returned an interception for a touchdown, making it 27-0. The very next drive for team FCS didn't go well either, as a quick 3 and out gave the ball back to Craig Shilo, and he made them pay, punching in a 24 yard touchdown run.

At halftime, the score was 34-0.

The Mountain Goats were set to receive the kick to start the second half and JR (RS) Jeff Dortch, the team's #1 wide out and kick/punt returner was ready to make an impact on the scoreboard. He did just that and returned the opening kick of the 2nd half for a touchdown. 41-0, BMS. After a 3 and out from team FCS, Dortch was ready to return the punt, and return the punt he did..TOUCHDOWN. 48-0. Jeff Dortch had two touchdowns on the day. One punt return and one kick return.

Blue Mountain State continued to dominate throughout the rest of the third quarter, but FCS did find the endzone once on a pass play. At the end of the third quarter, FCS EAST found themselves down 62-7.

The forth quarter saw the emergence, for the 2nd and 3rd time of the game of new defensive star Tyrone Rucker. In the forth quarter he added 2 pick return touchdowns, bringing his total to THREE on the day. His first came back in the 2nd quarter. After his third pick-six, the score was 76-7, which is where the score would stay. Also in the 4th, safety Larry Summers (and Thad Castle's good buddy) added his first sack of the season and sophomore SS Kevin Carrol from Miami Beach, FLA got BMS' third and final INT of the ball game.

        Post Game Stats
        Offense:
Fr. QB: Alex Moran = 9-18, 173 yards, 2 TD
Fr. RB: Craig Shilo = 24 attempts, 186 yards, 3 TDs & 4 catches with a TD receiving
Wide Receivers = 1 catch a piece between Dortch, Chandler, Waller, Fraser and Dowdell

        Defense:
Fr. LB: Anthony Williams = 7 tackles
Fr. LB: Thad Castle = 7 tackles, 1 INT
        JR. S: Larry Summers = 6 tackles, 1 sack
        SO. SS/CB: Tyrone Rucker = 3 INT, 3 TD, 2 tackles

Stay tuned for more BMS coverage, as during each week this season we'll be providing inside information on what's going on with the Blue Mountain State Mountain Goats.

Head coach Massey Weekly Press Conference Transcript

          Coach Massey 2.jpg
Coach Massey smiles during his press conference this week after the blowout victory over FCS EAST

          (On young linebackers)

“It’s always fun to get the young guys in and see what they can do as freshmen and sophomores. Thad Castle is obviously a guy that sticks out in my mind. He’s very physical, he’s a student of the game, picked up our defense pretty quickly. I think he’s a guy that you’ll continue to see out on the field helping us out this year. Anthony Williams brings some speed. He has a nice frame, good size on him. He’s a guy that hurt his shoulder in the offseason and didn’t get to lift much but now that he’s getting healthy, his body is already starting to change in this early stage because he is starting to really lift some weights. I think you’ll see some big things from him in the future. Terrence Lane is a bigger backer. He’s probably the biggest backer that we brought in. He’s kind of in that Erin Henderson mold that can be a pass rusher and drop in coverage and do multiple things. We’ve got some good young guys that I’m looking forward to coaching in the years to come.”

(On whether he worries about playing true freshmen rather than letting them redshirt)

“To me, you’re either ready or you are not. It is not an age thing. If you’re ready you play, if you’re not, you’re not. To me it’s just play the best guys. We have to win. That’s the bottom line.”

(on QB Alex Moran and RB Craig Shilo)
“The most impressive things that they’ve done is when nobody is watching. They’ve been in that training room, they’ve been grinding, and they’re going through the blood, sweat and tears of football. They’ve been out there. They’re out there every day. They’ve gone through two-a-days, they’ve done everything that we’ve done as a team. They haven’t missed anything. It’s been real good to see those guys out there and just grinding through camp. It’s been good.”

(on whether he is surprised that LB Sam Dudley will play coming off a torn ACL)
“You get the medical prognosis and you’re kind of like, ‘OK he’s going to have to sit out,’ then all of a sudden he’s running around, doing a great job. You have to tip your hat to him. He’s really busted his tail to get out there this season.Last year was tough for him after a great start as a freshman.”

          (on preparing for Notre Dame)
“Scheme-wise you are kind of looking at a pro-style offense, player-wise you’re looking at what Notre Dame has returning. We’ve gone back looking at film from last season. We’ve researched. You watch all of it. You’re constantly looking for information that is going to help you when you get to gameday.”

          (on the linebacker pass rush)
“I hope it stays impressive. Passing rush, in this day and age, with all this passing offense is huge. A lot of people look at it as just d-linemen. I don’t see it that way; I see it as all 11 guys getting to the quarterback, however we want to schematically do it. It’s all of us, collectively, having to get pressure on him. Also, you might get coverage sacks too. It’s a full package and that’s our job, to get better in all phases of that.”

(on improvement of DE Tony Lundy)
“I think you’ll see pass rush in general being a lot better. Really, I think you’ll see a big difference.”

(on whether any Notre Dame Wide Recievers stick out on tape)
“I think so because they can run. It’s like when you see a fast car it sticks out. That’s how they. They are the same type of guys, that can get up and go.”

Massey gets his first recruit of the regular season for BMS

            2013-09-07_03.37.23.jpg

Well, any chance that Ridgeway star lineman Nate Williamson would remain committed to Ole Miss and actually sign with the Rebels on Saturday seems to have gone up in smoke.

The do-everything Ridgeway offensive lineman, who originally committed to Gerogia during the summer, officially changed his commitment to Blue Mountain State earlier this evening. He verified his choice via text around 10 p.m.

Barring drastic unexpected changes during the next 36 hours, he will sign a national letter-of-intent to play for the Mountain Goats on Sunday.

"I've committed to Blue Mountain State," Williamson told BMSSports. "I'm going to be a Mountain Goat."

"I just wanted to get it over with," Williamson told BMSSports. "It was a pretty hard decision."

BLUE MOUNTAIN STATE CLAIMS VICTORY OVER THEN-RANKED NOTRE DAME

Moran threw two touchdowns and his defense played even better in South Bend

When the players and staff of Blue Mountain State arrived in South Bend, Indiana, their first stop was to the College Football Hall Of Fame in downtown South Bend. The Blue Mountain State players and staff took a tour, and headed to the team hotel. The players couldn't wait to take the field in front of a huge crowd on the Catholic campus of Notre Dame.

To begin the game , Blue Mountain State elected to kick-off. Notre Dame received the ball and took it out to the 26 yard line, but had little success as they punted the ball away to BMS. The Mountain Goats put together a solid drive, but it halted, resulting in the first of five field goals for kicker Harmon Tedesco , the first being a 25-yard boot.

Following the field goal, Tedesco blasted a touchback in to the Notre dame endzone. The 2nd possession of the game for Notre Dame didn't last long as their running back, B. Dixon took it to the house for a 70 yard TD run. He had 100 yards rushing by the end of the first quarter. After a 45- yard FG by Tedesco At the end of the first quarter, Notre Dame lead by a score of 7-6.

Notre Dame started off the 2nd quarter with a 10 play, 79 yard drive that resulted in a B. Dixon 9 yard TD run to the left. That was Dixon's 2nd of 3 TD's in the game. On the ensuing drive for BMS, Freshman QB Alex Moran made his first true mistake of his collegiate career and had a 3rd down pass intercepted and returned to the house for a touchdown. At that point, ND lead BMS 21-6.

After Blue Mountain State's best drive of the game, Freshman tailback Craig Shilo capped off the drive with THIS two yard plunge:

                        https://<iframe width="640" height="...reen></iframe>

BMS failed on a 2-point conversion, which made the score 21-12, Notre Dame.

Things wouldn't get any better for the #21 Fighting Irish as another HUGE play would occur on the very next Notre Dame possesion after the Shilo run. That play would come from Tony Lundy, an overall 89 rated sophomore defensive end making it 21-19 on a fumble recovery touchdown but Notre Dame would remain in the lead.

BMS would then take the lead with 2 seconds left in the first half with a 30 yard field goal by Tedesco. The halftime score was 22-21, BMS in charge.

The two teams exchanged field goals in the 3rd quarter and the score was 25-24, Blue Mountain State after 3 quarters of play.

In the 4th quarter , Notre Dame running back B. Dixon gave ND the lead after a 13 yard TD run, with a 2-point conversion successful. This made it 25-32, with Notre Dame ahead. That wouldn't discourage Blue Mountain State. The next BMS possesion only lasted 3 plays, but the third play was a 62 yard touchdown pass from Alex Moran to JR (RS) WR Jeff Dortch, who had the two huge return touchdowns in week one against FCS East. After that touchdown we were locked in a 32-32 tie.

With six minutes left , Cincinnati transfer LB Anthony Williams intercepted the Irish QB which set up THIS game winning touchdown strike from Moran to Dortch:

                        https://<iframe width="640" height="...reen></iframe>

Tedesco added one more field goal with seconds left, and Blue Mountain State would leave South Bend victorious. 42-32, final score.

                        Post Game Stats
                        Offense:
                        Fr. QB: Alex Moran = 18-30, 298 yards, 2TD
Fr. RB: Craig Shilo = 26 attempts, 132 yards, 1 TD
Jr. WR: Jeff Dortch = 5 catches, 112 yards, 2 TD

Fr. LB: Thad Castle = 6 tackles
                        JR. S: Larry Summers = 1 INT

Ever wanted to see where Blue Mountain State does their partying after big wins? Here's your chance. After the huge victory for our Mountain Goats this past Saturday against #21 Notre Dame, this very house hosted an all-night wet t-shirt contest with free beer for upperclassmen and members of the house, like defensive captain Thad Castle. We've set up a private tour with Freshman blue-chip prospect linebacker Thad Castle to show off what is formally known on the campus of Blue Mountain State University as "The Goat House".

TAIL OF TWO HALVES NETS BMS VICTORY OVER DCU

After a scary first half Blue Mountain State found themselves down 17-6. The second half was a different story, however.

Two weeks in a row, Blue Mountain State found themselves playing a Catholic school. Unlike Notre Dame last week, BMS had never played against Dallas Catholic. The players and staff enjoyed wonderful Christian-style hospitality in Dallas and enjoyed DCU's improved stadium, which added over 1,000 new seats in the off-season once they found out they had been selected to move to the FBS division of college football. BMS's first trip to the DCU stadium was nearly a nightmare for new Mountain Goat coach, C. Massey.

After one quarter , Blue Mountain State was down 10-0, and things wouldn't get any better in the 2nd quarter. At the end of the first half, the DCU nation had completely shocked BMS and lead 17-6. The Blue Mountain State offense looked absolutely awful in the first half. There was zero running game, and Freshman QB Alex Moran couldn't complete a pass to save his life. The final two drives of the half for BMS resulted in stalled drives, with two field goals which sent the two teams in to the locker rooms at the end of the first half with a score of 17-6.

The second half was a much different story than the first, and it begun on Dallas Catholic's first possession of the half. DCU's star kick-returner and running back Nate Holt took the 2nd half kickoff out of the end zone to try to make something happen when he probably shouldn't have. He was stopped at around the ten yard line and after a sack, DCU was back up against their own goal line. On the very next play, sophomore DT Pierre Noble brought down the DCU quarterback for a safety in the end zone, bringing the game to 17-8 in favor of Dallas Catholic.

After the safety-punt from DCU to BMS, Blue Mountain State faced a tough 3rd down on their first drive of the 2nd half. Coach Massey's Mountain Goats were a poor 2-13 on 3rd down, but THIS 45 yard touchdown pass from Alex Moran to Jr. (RS) WR Tony Waller made things a little more livable for Massey:

After a quick 3 and out for DCU, every one in the stadium could feel a momentum shift in Blue Mountain State's favor. Tables officially turned after a 4 play, 52 yard drive for BMS was capped off with a 17 yard rushing touchdown by Alex Moran off of an option play called by former BMS head coach turned offensive coordinator/assistant coach Marty Daniels.

Daniels also was able to convince head coach Massey to go for a two point conversion, an attempt that paid off.

After the third quarter came to a close, Blue Mountain State had a lead by the score of 23-17.

The forth quarter was all Blue Mountain State. Alex Moran connected with freshman phenom RB Craig Shilo on this 6 yard scoring play early in the 4th quarter:

                              https://<iframe width="640" height="...reen></iframe>

Shilo was all but shut down by the tough DCU defense. He only amounted 24 attempts for 60 yards, but he did have 5 catches for 41 yards and that receiving touchdown.

To close out the game, Alex Moran found freshman WR James Frazier for a 12 yard TD pass to put the game officially out of reach for DCU.

Final Score: 36-17, Blue Mountain State

                                Mountain Goat’s Dortch a difference-maker

Junior (RS) WR Jeff Dortch after his 62-yard TD catch against Notre Dame

BMS — Blue Mountain State’s Jeff Dortch doesn’t think his 62-yard touchdown catch, when he caught the ball in stride, stiff-armed Notre Dame cornerback Josh Adkinson and then raced to the end zone, was the best example of how he’s improved.

The 6-2, 203-pound wide receiver believes his 13-yard catch from Alex Moran a few minutes later was a better display of that, when on 3rd-and-goal he ran into the end zone, cut left and leapt above cornerback Jalen brown for the TD catch.

“I ran the right route, I ran it pretty good, I got myself open and Alex [Moran] put it on me and ended up in a touchdown,” Dortch said.

Dortch scored touchdowns on successive offensive plays to lead the Mountain Goats (3-0) to a 42-32 victory. The catches came after coach Massey and the other BMS coaches got on him for not putting in a strong effort in the first half, particularly with a dropped pass on the first play of the second quarter, going out of bounds on one play and slipping on another that almost led to an interception.

“He’s usually not one of those guys you have to light a fire under,” Massey said.

He responded in the second half with 4 catches for 89 yards and the two TDs, including the ninth-longest catch in school history that had teammates still smiling about several days later.

“He made a great play,” Moran said.

The challenge this week for Dortch and his teammates will be to make plays against #16, University of Central San Francisco (4-0), which is ranked high in total defense and pass efficiency defense, fourth in rushing defense and fifth in passing yards allowed.

“We’ve got a challenge ahead of us,” Massey said. “I think we’re ready for it.”
