This is beyond description..

to have two amazing Linebackers absolutely be dominant this season to this degree is unheard of! As bad as my season may be going.. I am enboldened by the fact that pretty soon, I will have a chance of drafting high and grabbing a foundation player for the defense I want to establish!

Congratulations to Penn St. led by a once-in-a-lifetime LB duo in Jalen Shaw and Adonys Adams!!

unbelievable how dominant they have been this entire season! I cannot wait for the NFL Draft.. one of them will be the cornerstone of my defense

End of Season Storylines

Not gonna lie.. I am sad to see this coach retire. Tom Coughlin is one of the best coaches around and although I am a JETS fan; being a native New Yorker, I will never forget when his Giants "upset" the New England Patriots ending their perfect season.



Dallas got rid of the redheaded genius Jason Garrett! I think I heard Dallas collectively sigh, "About time" all the way in NYC



if you were going to tell me that Chip Kelly would win Coach of the Year I'd literally laugh out loud.. but it happened and the Eagles' future looks bright with Chip as their coach.



and the shock of all shocks.. just when he thought he was out -- THEY PULL HIM BACK IN!!! Yes folks.. Jimmy Johnson himself is coming out of retirement to coach once more! Which team lured him out of fishing? We will find out eventually.. but yes, Jimmy is back in the NFL!

it's crazy yo!! but honestly speaking.. i'm kinda glad i got that bombshell of JJ returning but it kinda opens up a can of worms

i hope Madden himself doesn't come out of retirement!

will I see Vince Lombardi return from the grave?? LOL!!

Offseason Retirements and Storylines



absolutely one of the best Safeties to have ever played in the NFL.. Ed Reed was the definition of a "Ball Hawk" and was pretty much in the midst of every play! He will most definitely be missed



yet another legend calls it quits.. there is no doubt in my mind of his next stop. Canton!



the retirements of Legends just keep coming.. as if losing Ed Reed and Woodson wasn't bad enough.. Tony Gonzalez retires after 17 magnificent seasons as one of the NFL's best Tight Ends.



Reggie Wayne hanging it up caught me by surprise.. i did not even realize he was at a retirement age to be honest!



London Tower has fallen down this retirement makes me sad as I have always been a fan of London Fletcher ever since he was with the Rams. He was never flashy or a spotlight hog or glory hound.. but everyone who mattered knew who he was and how great he played! you will be missed London



Ray. Lewis. Back. What?! Old man, sometimes.. you NEED to retire and STAY retired.. curious how this plays out. I guess he has one last itch he needed to scratch

man.. if i could pull that off i actually WOULD!!

hahaha i doubt i can rig this game enough to be able to pull off the projected #1 and #2 picks in the NFL Draft (Shaw and Adonys are projected 1 and 2)

but.. i do have the #2 overall pick so i will be getting 1 of them FOR SURE!

Pro Day and Combine Storylines

with the offseason in full swing leading up to the NFL Draft.. the rookies show their best! Pro Days and Combine.. who will rise? Who will fall? Who will be a bust?! ahh the NFL Draft!

WR Geno Castro is very interesting.. he is Usain Bolt but lacks the Hands to become Jerry Rice! the fact that he pulls his hamstring running the 40 indicates he may be injury prone.. hmm



TE Speedy Bales was a comet this season.. he blazed up the prospects list and some even talked of him as the most dominant player in the nation.. how far has his stock fallen? A mediocre combine and he's pretty much out of everyone's draft boards



What else can be said about Penn St's Jalen Shaw and Adonys Adams?! They have been the one dominant constant this season from setting the College Tackling record to destroying powerhouse programs such as 7 sacks vs Notre Dame to leading and winning the National Championship.. they don't look like the real deal. They ARE the Real Deal!




He started off as a CB but ended the season at Free Safety and has adapted himself well to the position it seems. Add a solid combine and Pro Day and Florida FS Davion Scott is going to be a first round pick.






and who do the scouts project as the #1 overall pick? Honestly speaking.. they've already projected the #1 and #2 picks.. None other than LB's and Best Friends Adonys Adam and Jalen Shaw! As to who is picked #1 overall? Flip a coin really but..

THE NFL DRAFT

With an abysmal forgettable season (no, I didn't tank it but my team simply isn't that good). The JETS secured the #2 overall pick to my delight!

When I first began this franchise, I laid out what I had hoped to accomplish which is establish a good defense and utilize a power-run scheme. My favorite defensive player of all-time is the incomparable Linebacker Lawrence Taylor!

Blessed with not 1 but 2 can't miss prospects and with the #2 overall pick, it seems I have within my grasp the foundation piece for which my defense will be built upon!



and with the 1st Overall pick the Bengals select..



The Bengals selecting a QB 1st overall opens the world up to me.. who do I select?! The LB with the Superstar name in Adonys or my preference simply because he looks more badass gear-wise in Jalen Shaw?!

Jalen Shaw is odschool simply wearing double elbow pads and a visor and looks menacing out there.. Adonys has the name and attitude as a star. Best Friends. Both dominant. National Title. Superb combines and pro days.

FLIP A COIN!!

Overall I've had what I feel is a pretty solid draft.. I picked a solid foundation piece for my defense in Adonys Adams even though he is not "a beast". With my coaching he will thrive as the cornerstone of my defense for years to come! I added a pure power-back in Clayton Mills who simply runs over people. I may have to adress his 77 SPD eventually but for now he will play as my backup RB to Chris Ivory.

Everyone else is pretty substandard and I am most definitely glad that Storyline player WR Geno Castro fell all the way to the 4th round.. his SPD is nothing to laugh at and he will primarily return kicks for me until I can coach up his 68 CTH rating

I have simmed the pre-season and first game of the regular season is against the Tennessee Titans!
