Week 11 - Bills vs JETS

Back when I first began this franchise.. I described myself as a coach. Oldschool. Preferred style is old fashioned smashmouth football..

back in the past draft, I drafted a rookie RB in the 2nd round that I scouted as a pure bruiser. a Power Back in the truest sense of the word.. even if he only had 77 SPD.

I knew what this meant.. he won't breakaway from defenders. he will more often than not get caught.. but what I did not realize.. is that he has heart.

watch this. watch my rookie RB Clayton Mills drag 4-5 Buffalo Defenders on the way to the endzone!



that, my friends, is called HEART! It is DESIRE! That is something that no known metric or measurement can properly quantify.. because that is simply HEART! As usual.. Clayton Mills' run sparked a fire in my team that the Bills could not withstand.

And that wasn't his only highlight oh no siree! Did I mention that Mills is NASTY?! He's just plain NASTY! People better get out of his way he's just slapping people around!! ...literally



Players like Clayton Mills will always have a place in the NFL.. and more importantly, can and will always play for me.

Week 17 - Broncos vs JETS

This was not a regular season game. Even though this is technically the last game of the regular season.. what played out on the field was all about one thing: PLAYOFFS!

As a coach.. I admit that I had my reservations going into this game considering the type of season we've had. All my fears went away on the very first play as my Defense SACKED Peyton Manning. Actions speak louder than words and they were telling me they are not afraid of the Broncos and it was GAME ON!

..and what a game it was. I wish I could do a play-by-play because this was as proficient and high-level as NFL Offenses can operate! We would score. Denver would respond. We would then score again. That went on and on until the 4th qtr where Denver Finally established a foothold but until then..?

A TOTAL OF TEN. Yes, TEN LEAD CHANGES!!



Even though we lost. I felt this game answered any question or lingering doubts I may have about whether or not my team belonged in the playoffs and more importantly, if we can actually play with the teams we will be facing. A resounding ABSOLUTELY! was the answer given to me emphatically by the way my team played

UP NEXT: Great. Just. Great.. "The Golden Boy" and the Patriots. I wish I'd face any other team but them.. but to be honest, it is not because I am afraid of Tom Brady and co. Rather, I know how difficult it is to win 3 games in the same season against the same squad. We all pretty much know each other by now and judging by our last epic confrontation the last time these two teams met in Gillette Stadium, this promises to be as bloody, physical, tough and emotionally and mentally draining as that considering this is now THE PLAYOFFS!

Well.. all we ask for is a shot. We're in the dance! Let's see how far and how long these JETS can fly

2014 NFL WildCard: Patriots vs JETS

They say that the playoffs is played at a much different speed than the regular season. This was never more evident than when my JETS faced Tom Brady and the Patriots during this wildcard weekend..

The Patriots just blitzed us and we were caught unprepared. I don't know if this falls on me as a coach -- perhaps I did not prepare my team well enough. It just seemed whatever I called, Tom Brady had the perfect counter for it. He always found the right man. The right throw. The right decision. And always for huge chunks of yards down the field..

the Patriots simply looked that much quicker than us..

a bittersweet finish to this season, one in which we struggled at the start, overcoming the losses of key players to make a playoff push only to get absolutely destroyed like this

well, we are a young squad.. i can only hope and pray they take this beating to heart and come back hungrier and more focused next year. i have high hopes for my jets team.. that is for certain.

it was a shock last year when he announced he was coming back to the NFL .. but I guess the game has passed him by and he's better off fishing! Jimmy Johnson has said his final goodbye to the NFL.

2014 End of Season Awards

Congratulations to Colin and the 49ers! NFL MVP as well as Superbowl Champion!








NEW YORK JETS FREE AGENT SIGNINGS:

I needed to have him. There were 6 teams bidding for him and it came to the very last day of Free Agency. Every day I kept increasing my offer and it did not matter to me that I am going to pay him $77mil. All I know is I had a gaping hole in my LG position and it needed to be filled. For the next 6 years, I do not have to worry about my LG overpayed for him? not in my eyes..


This one is an interesting pickup because even though my Defensive General MLB David Harris left my team.. I had already groomed a replacement in MLB D. Davis who will be starting as my premiere MLB1. Since I utilize a 3-4 Defense I pretty much needed another decent MLB so I bid on him and thankfully, he accepted my offer.

N F L DRAFT STORIES!









I disagree with the so-called "experts"'s assessment of my JETS. Do we have a feature back? Look .. not every team has an Adrian Peterson. IT doesn't work that way! Do I have a feature back? No.. I have a running back-by-committee somewhat. Every single RB on my team fits my scheme and my playstyle and I most certainly do not think that a RB is what is stopping my JETS from taking the next step.

I'd go so far as to say a RB is not even in my drafting radar right now.. I mean, I did just draft the Power Back Clayton Mills and have Chris Ivory as well as Mike Goodson on my team still.

It just doesn't make sense..

thanks bro that's why the updates came fast, i was off for the week lol!

Oct 31 is when i return.. kinda sad tbh because i had such a great draft

i got the player i wanted fall to my spot (an OLB Pass Rusher), every player i wanted literally got skipped and dropped to my spot

ie: projected round 2 pick 3, dropped to round 2 pick 24

and i made great roster moves such as moving ROLB Adonys Adams to MLB which he is shining! YEP. The rookie OLB who had 0 sacks is now shining at MLB!!

im at season 3 game 3 right now, just haven't updated because there's no more time to write the story
