      Falcons Gameday Preview: Week 13

Rynearson Stadium in Ypsilanti, Michigan, is the site for this one.

After last week's shocker, this one shouldn't be close. The Eagles are coming in at 0-10, and are ranked 110th in total defense. Expect a field day for Schilz and the Falcon offense. Coach Freday isn't overlooking Eastern Michigan, however.

Expect a lot of turnovers. These two teams are the worst in the country in turnover margin.
Bowling Green lost to Ohio 35-28 last week.
Eastern Michigan lost to Western Michigan 34-27 in OT two weeks ago.

Gameday Recap: Bowling Green 31, Eastern Michigan 17
Schilz takes matters into his own hands, leads angry Falcons to victory

Matt Schilz scores the game sealing TD with over 2 minutes left in the game

Schilz played much better today, not throwing any INT's, and not getting sacked. The Falcons as a whole came in angry off their loss to Ohio last week, and after a slow start, got the job done against the 0-11 Eastern Michigan Eagles. The Falcons found out after the game that they had secured a spot in the MAC Championship Game against Northern Illinois after Miami's loss to Buffalo.

UB Stadium is the site of BGSU's regular season finale
*This game was actually played at Ralph Wilson Stadium in reality

This is an intriguing regular season finale for each team. Both teams are bowl eligible, but the Bulls would like to improve their resume, while the Falcons will be trying not to look ahead to the MAC Championship game next Friday night in Detroit. The Bulls are led by QB Alex Zordich who has guided them to a shocking win at Baylor, and a close loss to Ohio State in week 1. The Falcons have proven to be a better team on the road than at home, which surprises Coach Freday.

Defense Has Game to Remember as Falcons Take Care of Business in Snowy Buffalo

Booboo Gates comes up with this INT late in the third, almost eliminating the Bulls' chances of winning

Alex Zordich was sacked 6 times, a season high for Bowling Green, and the defense came up big when the Bulls got into the redzone, causing 2 key turnovers, which is a great sign heading into the MAC Championship Game with Northern Illinois, which shockingly is a rematch of the real MAC Championship in 2013.

Ford Field, usually home to the Lions

Well, here we are. Northern Illinois has been the team to beat in the MAC all year, as they are a perfect 8-0 coming off their conference championship last year. They are led by QB Jordan Lynch, who is a major dual threat. The Falcons will have to stop at least one of the two parts of his game to win this one.

Falcons Go into Detroit and Emerge as Champs

Devon McKoy comes up with this fancy one-handed INT in the 1st quarter

This was a game to remember. A 22 point win over feared Northern Illinois in the MAC Championship. The crowd, who was 75% Bowling Green, turned and became loud on 3rd downs when NIU had the ball, even though they were the home team. Each side of the ball for the Falcons played near flawless football. The offense came through when it had to, going 10-12 on 3rd downs, a truly amazing mark.

Going back to school tomorrow, so I don't know how often I'll be updating this during the week. Weekends should be a normal rate of updates though.

Re: Bowling for the Green - A Bowling Green Falcons Story

                          I have big news:
I will come back to updating this dynasty again!

                          A word on the progress:
Bowling Green won the Godaddy.com Bowl to finish off the season at 11-3.
2014 came, and the Falcons lost the opener at Boston College, then played a 5OT game that ended with a loss at Northwestern.
After coming back home, they got a huge win vs Indiana, then an upset win against Wisconsin in Camp Randall!
A relapse followed with a close loss to Toledo, their arch rivals, on the road, but rebounded nicely with a thrashing of Miami (OH) at the Doyt.

Matt Johnson is my QB this year, and I still have Anthon Samuel. Bowling Green currently sits at 3-3, (1-1 MAC). Next up is 0-6 Kent State in the homecoming game. That game will be played on Friday. I will not update anything on the first page of the thread, but will post the schedule and results on Friday, followed by the game recap. When it comes to Around the NCAA, I will start up where I am in the season. If you want to know what the preseason polls were or something like that, let me know. I look forward to this, again!!!

Also, I will not post the 2014 roster, because almost all the players that see game time were on the squad last year, so they are on the 2013 Depth Chart on Page 1 of the thread.

                          Let's go Falcons!

Surprised? 9 month comebacks happen all the time.

I just starting playing the games again, and wanted to restart before things got too far ahead. I went on a nostalgia trip last night, remembering the fun I had. That convinced me. Now I can say with relative certainty that this will keep going until I get the XBOX One, which will likely be around Christmas time. When I do get that, I will start a Madden CCM and post it in this forum.
