Mark Giannotto: Coach, you stand here today fresh off your first win as a collegiate head coach and your programs first in it's return to the top flight of college football. How do you feel?

Coach Diaco: Great, I was impressed at the poise these young men showed at different times and it seems like we may have ourselves a defense gentlemen. I can't underline the hard work that was put in that allowed this to happen.

Josh Solomon: Offensively, your team looked overwelmed, with the lone bright spot being Roy Bowers. What do you see that you can improve?

Coach Diaco: A lot really, I thought that we made some key plays down the stretch and Roy really showed his ability to break the big one with that 20+ run there to seal the deal. But other than him, it looked pretty bleak. Paxton has to be more decisive throwing the ball. He took too many sacks and I don't think we had a pass longer than 10 yards all night.

Cory Weinberg: Did it cross your mind to try someone else at quarterback in the 3rd quarter?

Coach Diaco: No, Paxton is our guy as long as he's healthy. He's not stranger to adversity from the tape I watched from last season. Smart kid, good arm... We'll be ok.

Mark Giannotto: Early thoughts on Florida State?

Coach Diaco: Fast and talented. The Winston kid is for real and Tallahassee is a hostile place. We'll have our boys ready for a real test next week. This week was great though. A goal line stand and a turnover in the red zone. The defense kept us in a game that really could have been down 10 or 15 points.
