Coach Clark enjoys the moment as the team takes control late

Thanks a lot Lopaka, I'm enjoying the season, all games (even this last one) have been pretty close and it's nice that we've been able to play some defense at times.

Re: The Career of J.D. Clark (NCAA 14)

The Anacortes Seahawks are not a great football team. Sitting at under .500 on the season, they have
a small group of kids to draw from in the area and have to bus a long way for most of their games.

They have one thing a lot of schools in the area don't have, according to coach Dustin Lawson: A
        future NFL-caliber signal caller.

"I've been told I'm biased. I've been told I'm crazy," said Lawson. "I've been screaming from the top
of the hills trying to get the big schools to come out and watch us play but it hasn't happened. Idaho
showed serious interest starting a few weeks into the season and it's just a perfect match because his
objective is to go play college football at a school that runs a pro type offense. That's why he
        committed."

"If you want to know my opinion, Eric has one of the best arms you're going to see in college football
over the next few seasons. If he keeps his head on straight and works on things, he could be a great
college football player. He could go to the next level. It's all about the work ethic. Does he have a
Brett Favre arm? I don't think it's that level but it's definitely well above average and I think his
accuracy is really underrated as well."

Lawson runs a power offense that typically throws the ball fewer than 20 times per game. With his
son at the helm, he had a QB with a great arm but still didn't have great athletes on the outside or
        big bodies on the inside.

"To maximize the effectiveness of our offense I didn't think it would be wise to air it out," said Lawson.
"That's not what we're about anyway, just buffing up stats for the benefit of my son. We play best when
we're pounding the ball and that gives him the best opportunities to throw it deep."

Lawson said he never considered transferring to an area with a better football program.

"That's not in our value system. We love where we live."

Idaho received Eric's commitment via fax machine - the old fashioned way - yesterday morning and the
word around town is the Vandals have a huge talent on their hands. For now, Coach Clark is remaining
mum. Sources close to the team indicate Clark won't comment until things are finalized.

        2 STAR - GUARD - Matt Harrison

        6-1, 300, Hollywood, CA - Run Blocker - 67 OVR (+9)

+ The most athletic offensive lineman in our class and has good run blocking technique.
        - He needs to improve his strength.

        2 STAR - OLB - Jamil James

        6-1, 220, Ontario, OR - Run Stopper - 65 OVR (+4)

+ Solid tackling and block shedding - solid, not great.
        - He's only an average athlete and needs to have great skill development to be good.

        3 STAR - WR - David Green

        6-3, 181, Centerviille, UT - Possession - 68 OVR (+2)

+ Top-end speed, route running, release average to above average.
        - Not particularly sudden. His ACC, AGI leave something to be desired.

2 STAR JC - MLB - Shawn Bell

        6-3, 228, Moscow, ID - Balanced - 65 OVR (-4)

+ Solid speed, strength, tackling, and block shedding - key components we look for.
        - His AWR is rumored to be pretty poor. Sometimes languishes in pursuit and isn't a fearsome hitter.

1 STAR JC - ATHLETE - Keolu "Bully" Filoteo

        5-11, 238, Mililani Town, HI - Balanced - 66 OVR (+3)

Decided to commit before the Hawai'i game which he had been hesitant to do. Hawai'i never went after him hard.
+ Fearsome player whether it's offense or defense. Tackles and hits on D, Trucks People on offense.
        - Don't know where he'll play. LB? FB? HB? Lacks top end speed.

3 STAR - STRONG SAFETY - Andre Christian

        6-4, 190, Walla Walla, WA - Balanced - 67 OVR (+2)

+ For a big safety he's athletic. He loves the Palouse. Decent in zone and press coverage.
        - Lacks the ability to play man coverage effectively. Bad play recognition at times.

        2 STAR - FULLBACK - Alex Foreman

        6-2, 241, Davis, CA - Receiving - 67 OVR (-1)

+ Good overall athleticism and not helpless with the ball. Solid in pass pro.
        - His hands aren't ideal, and runs ineffective routes. Run blocking just ok, and not an impact blocker.

2 STAR JC - TIGHT END - Vincent Church

        6-7, 260, Westmont, CA - Blocking - 79 OVR (+5)

Church is an instant starter who was looking hard for an offense that featured the tight end as a blocker and receiver.
+ Very good blocker across the board with functional strength and adequate hands with block-you-out size.
        - Not a burner. Probably won't be a big YAC guy.

2 STAR JC - OFF. TACKLE - Tyrone Vandermeulen

        6-2, 339, Parkland, WA - Pass Block - 74 OVR (+1)

Likely will start right off the bat, although it might not be at tackle. Ideal guard size.
+ Adequate strength, borderline great technique as a pass blocker. Solid in all areas.
        - Not much of an athlete although he shows explosion off the line. Not good in space.

3 STAR - WIDE RECEIVER - Youmani Jones

        6-2, 183, Kingsgate, WA - Balanced - 65 OVR (-2)

+ Good top-end speed, size, ball security
        - He's adequate at running routes but not a natural receiver. Not a big-play guy despite speed.

        3 STAR - QUARTERBACK - Eric Lawson

        6-4, 224, Anacortes, WA - Pocket Passer - 80 OVR (+9)

+ Arm, feel for the passing game
        - Downgraded by teams becuase he's truly a statue, didn't have great high school numbers

Nice win over San Diego State, definitely a great team effort from your guys. And the 80 OVR signing on top of that? Things are looking up in Moscow.

Way to show off the power of El Gato by getting the cut scenes into the reports! I am jealous! I am just getting around to updating my dynasty with the first games post-EA Sports World.

Damn straight! Well they were anyway... yeah as I was looking at the ratings on this guy I'm like hmmm He's big. He can't move a lick. He has a serious ARM... Will be interesting to see how the QB battle plays out next year, Chalich has had his ups and downs but has only one weapon really to throw to.

It's very much worth it, I am enjoying using this thing. One thing that's been pleasantly surprising is the quality of images that are in motion, they're not too blurry and sometimes have no blur whatsoever. In the past when I had used capture cards, anything in motion was completely unusable. Sucks they shut it down on us.

I am loving the idea of random.org to compare to use his kick accuracy to miss some field goals. This is the most impact it's had in a game.

Thanks for the affirmation! Don't forget how horrid this team is, they just jumped all over us.

Hey Hellisan I love this so far, have you made any changes with the sliders? Also on defense, do you try to control all the players on defense or control one and let the defense do the work?

Rather than looking to see if there have been changes I'll just post a slider update. Less time consuming.

I mostly try and play it straight, controlling one guy and letting the AI for the other players do their thing. Sometimes i can't help myself and I go into Online Dynasty user vs. user mode for a few plays, trying to make things happen but I think I do an o.k. job of staying away from that. I think i'm going to try and move around to other players than MLB in the future, I think I'm gonna be winning the LB award every year if I don't, kinda lame. I wonder why 1) the cpu players have so few tackles and 2) tackles seem to count so much in the eyes of the voters for that award. Specifically, solo tackles (the kind we get) count way more than total tackles. That kinda stuff hurts the fun of it for me. Thanks for saying hi.

Hey Proof, yeah there is no chance of me quitting anytime soon. Big breaks however are likely... Unfortunately this time it wasn't even really work that accounted for the break although I was uber busy... it was just Skyrim rearing its ugly head again, sometimes I can't put that game down for months, best game I've ever played by such a wide margin it's not even funny. Thanks a lot for saying hi.
