Good win to start the year, Bully and Lawson both looked good. Here's hoping for continued luck and success for the Vandals in 2015!

This is how I've always envisioned my dynasties looking, but I never have the discipline to keep such a detailed dynasty going, so kudos to you! I love the (I'm guessing) changed name for the Hawai'in. I started doing this with a Washington State dynasty and it really adds to the authenticity. In my humble opinion, I would recommend getting some Samoan names for a few California recruits here and there.

Thank you man, I appreciate it. Lawson was awesome, but Chalich has had games like this then looked awful the next time out. Hoping for more good results.

Thanks. I know it's getting repetitive for me to say, but I owe this solely to the fact that EA decided to stop making the game. I could never stop myself from looking forward to that next one. I take my time with it, sometimes will only have an hour (or less) but get in and just start preparing for the next one which may not happen till a week later. I'm enjoying it, and I appreciate the response. It's not for everybody, sometimes the quick ones are more fun for those that just like to play, and I totally get that. I wanted to create something I could look back on later and enjoy. On the topic of the Hawaiian names, yes I've got a couple. Great call on going with a few names from other states. utah is another strong state. I will try to include them as I go along. Will have to be careful not to stereotype completely on the size and strength (both of mine so far have been big guys). Oceanside high has been one of the most successful high school teams in the state of Cali (coached by the legendary John Carroll, who just retired) and they are usually one of the smallest teams in all of San Diego let alone the state. And Mariota for that matter.

nice opening season win over CMU helli, Lawson looked very impressive. Bully seems like a lot of fun to use, I love the way you incorporated the name change. I wish EA had filtered in some hawaiian/samoan names into the recruiting. Tough loss against Auburn though, but as always bro your layout is top notch, good luck the rest of the season!

I wouldn't worry much about stereotypes. I think we're all in it for the realism here. You could do some research on the city demographics, if that's your thing. Personally, I just pick players somewhat randomly. If a player has a generic, bland name like Rick Smith, I might make him my Samoan for the class. Or if NCAA gives a player those medium toned faces that already look Samoan/Hawaiin, I'll go ahead make them my altered players for the class.

It does suck that EA didn't incorporate more authentic names, it definitely appears that they put in the faces for it. It has to be because they know someone will get butthurt because of it. It's terribly annoying to see WR "Lamaar Jones" who's a pasty pale ginger. On my limited time with NCAA 13, it seemed like EA went out of their way to make more white RB and CB while the franchise has almost always featured way too many black K/P. Again, I'm sure it's a PR thing so no one can feel offended. I wish they would've at least given us an option for recruit names - Family Play or Simulation.

Thanks man, yeah I wanted to honor the great heritage of Samoan players in the game. And after looking at his ratings while recruiting him - a 1 star! (because the game saw him as an OLB) I knew he would be the one to do that with.

I think you mistook my meaning ever so sligthly but yeah not a big deal. I appreciate all the input.
Couldn't agree more with your general theme.

Arkansas State's LB Woodson looks like a beast!! 8 TFL, 17 tackles, geeez.

Keep it up, Helli - this is so good. Probably the best you've ever done in terms of layout, consistency and content. I absolutely love this. I'll make sure to stop in more as I've been lurking here more than I'd like to admit

Yeah that would have to be one of the all-time performances I'd think. It seems like I'm typing in "OLB" into players of the week both at a national and conference level every week. Game seems to produce big stats for them in sims. thanks for the kind words Matt.

Man it just looks like Utah State couldn't muster anything. Look at all those deflections you had - and zero TD's for them in the receiving department.

I will say though, Kansas CB getting 2 INTS and 2 FF's - come on...for shame, KU ain't got anybody that good :P

Keep it up - Wyoming could be that one team not to underestimate - look at that OL, snap!
