Thanks man, I've made some references to it but I keep changing things little by little, all that stuff is adding some work but much more depth to the chise and a challenge to my team depth. There are a bunch of injuries coming up... and as of now I have no idea who they will affect. (effect?)

I felt the rosters were o.k., but I always just go with whatever and pretend that is perfect, otherwise I will not get far. I just view it as a complete departure from reality.

Good luck against SDSU, power of Seau in this one could be the make or break if you don't concentrate!
Thanks Matt, very kind words, I wanted to really follow the national CFB 'scene' in this chise and it has increased my enjoyment. I wonder what a team like Army will do the next week, once I notice that they are outdoing expectations.

Thanks Cheese. Sometimes I wonder how that "excel work" will pan out. I was going to set it up to transfer all it to HTML, but it would have taken me weeks of work as I'm not an HTML expert. So I have to hope IMGUR continues to be successful lol.

Love those even, back-and-forth, intense games that go down to the end... love 'em even more when you come out with the win!

Filoteo continues to be a load for the defenses, especially considering that he had another 52 yards after contact.

I've been using more of the 4-2-5 lately too and have found it is good at "bend-but-don't-break." We've given up roughly the same amount of yards, but do seem to have forced more turnovers or long FG attempts, which means fewer points allowed, which is the goal, right?

Yeah that game was a ball. I love Filoteo, the less I do, the more he does. It seems that making moves is sometimes the thing that makes him go down, in that game he broke 7 tackles or was at least credited that way. I think that might be a PB. I agree about the 4-2-5, it just seems they play better in zone in certain zones.

Overview: The recruiting class is coming along nicely. The Vandals were lucky that Bahari Rogers, one of the best players in the state from Payette, ID was interested in staying close to home. The combination of that preference the the surge of success for the Vandals enticed him to sign on the dotted line - at least verbally. He brings a lot to the table including incredible size, but may not be an immediate starter.

"We feel we have reached a certain point where we can begin to redshirt players more consistently. However, he will be given every chance to compete," said J.D. Clark.

The Vandals have gotten commitments from three players so far, and have a large board remaining that they are sorting thruogh. Coach Clark would not comment on rumors that he has deviated from recruiting rules, saying only that no violations have occurred.

"I know what's cheese so I haven't looked at those rules in awhile."

                    Westlake's Career Likely Over

Senior linebacker Brock Westlake has been out for the past few weeks with an issue to his upper arm that was initially diagnosed as a bad bruise. Unfortunately, the injury simply hasn't healed and he was re-assessed by a second physician. The second opinion indicated that Westlake has significant ligament damage and instability, and it's not predicted he will be healthy for the remainder of the season. This clearly puts his career in jeopardy.

Lawson suspended for "at least" half of Nevada Game

Freshman quarterback Eric Lawson learned a tough lesson this week. Being late to a meeting is simply not tolerated unless there are extenuating circumstances. Lawson reportedly walked into a minute 15 minutes late and was told to turn around and head the other direction. It wasn't the first time, but it will probably be the last.

"I wasn't going to make up any excuses. I was late. It's a tough one to swallow," said Lawson.

Lawson must be in Coach Clark's doghouse, because he's going to miss at least a half of the upcoming Nevada game. Chad Chalich will get the start, and the Vandals will bring Lawson in "if needed" according to Clark.

Bahari Rogers and Nick Tillman look to be huge pickups for the program. I know Tillman is a JuCo transfer and won't be around for four years but Rogers with that size and athleticism has a chance to be scary good for you if he has any corner ability. Pete Jones would be the cherry on top to keep him in state.

Hellisan, good to see this still going sir, even if at a slow pace. I give you praise for sticking with this despite that fact, sometimes I feel like I need to move quickly just to keep everything moving at a reasonable pace for me.

As for the Vandals, you are having a great season at 6-2 so far. Bully continues to deliver in all sorts of ways, that's great to see.

Great analysis and I agree wholeheartedly, thanks for checking out the recruiting report I haven't done much updating of that this year but been working on it behind the scenes. Offensive line is always, always, always a priority for my team and there are usually 3-5 of my Top 10 spots filled up with offensive linemen we'd like to get on board. With Pete Jones, we are still the leaders in the clubhouse and we have him in during Week 13, one week before he travels to UW which is 1225 pts behind but staying with us for the most part week to week. We're just lucky that Boise State (higher bonus) didn't have interest. Kind of dumb but oh well. This past week we had what will likely be our biggest signing of the year, as future LT Mike Powell, an all around stud blocker who just needs to get stronger, gave us the verbal.

Thank you Marino, how have you been man? It's always good to see some old names hanging around and I'm blessed that so many people continue to check in with me and/or look at this at the same time as I can rarely really read other reports. I wish I wasn't back in college to finish my degree while still working well over 50 hours per week sometimes up to 80. I know the type of awesome content that is on here and hope to eventually dig through more of it.

Yeah I'm really having fun with this one, it's sort of the idea of spending some time in an alternative world with my imaginary team, getting my mind off work. Sometimes it's very rare I'm able to put aside time for it and I have to stop updating, but I usually try and keep it a part of my life on some level even if it's loading up the game and practicing for a few minutes. I'm a nerd like dat.

You guys are all very kind for checking in. Thank you.

OLB Josh Smith out for the Season

Redshirt Freshman Josh Smith landed on his shoulder awkwardly during a tackle attempt and was diagnosed with a broken collarbone. This late in the season, the injury will keep him out for the remainder of the year.
