Special thanks to SportsGuru11 for this sweet banner!!

      Week One Recap

With UTEP on a bye, there were lots of other matchups to keep our eye on. With a bunch of big games, upsets, and big performances, let's get into all the matchups

Week One Game of the Week 1a- #9 South Carolina vs #23 North Carolina

This in state rivalry was the co-game of the week. A classic showdown between ranked teams ends up with UNC winning 24-17 over South Carolina

Week One Game of the Week 1b -#16 Clemson vs #12 Georgia

Another ranked rivalry this week? I think YES! Another classic Clemson Georgia battle ended with an Overtime finish! Who doesn't love free football? Pinion hit a 39 yard field goal in overtime to lead Clemson to the victory. The loss was to no fault of Todd Gurly III. He had 193 yards of total offense and two touchdowns. #HeismanHopeful

Now a bit of a nonrelated dynasty post. Thanks for all the support everyone. I have found a good coach mode slider set and will be using that for this dynasty. Next time I'll probably change up the week recap a bit just to see if I can find a nice blend of everything. Those whom have sent in recruits I have them and will be created next year. Also on recruiting expect an update around week 5.

          Game Preview

New Mexico Lobos vs UTEP Miners

Recap: How's it going y'all? It's UTEP football time! No more practices, it's officially here! Your UTEP Miners are taking on the New Mexico Lobos. The Lobos are coming off of a 24-10 loss last week against UTSA. Texas showing up! They had 323 total yards and gave up 354 yards last week. They ran the ball 57 times while only passing 17 times. Gipson led the team with 120 rushing yards on 27 attempts and White had 4 catches. The Lobos had trouble stopping the run, so expect UTEP to try to pound the rock.

Scouting Report: AS I said earlier the Lobos are a running team. They ran the ball 57 times last week and their option game gives defenses a tough look. You have to look out for Cole Gautsche, the dual threat QB is a nuisance for opposing defenses and Teryion Gipson is a very talented back behind him. Their top receiving threat is the 5'8" Carlos Wiggins. He is a quick shifty player that UTEP needs to keep an eye on. Defensively this team has no breakout stars from last week, but with their top defensive end Brent Bowers out, Randy Williams will have to fill in.

          Expert Picks:

Kirk Herbstreit: I'll take the UTEP Miners. Jameill Showers is just too much for New Mexico to handle. #ExpertPicks

Phil Steele: I'll take New Mexico; you don't know what to expect out of Showers this year, and the Lobos are going to be really fired up!

Lee Corso: Oh you got to love them Miners!!!

Lou Holtz: I like UTEP today folkshhh! How can you not love tith Jamiel Shhhowershh kid??

Re: Mining For Gold: A NCAA 14 UTEP Dynasty

Hey everyone, I'm back!! I will be getting this up and going soon, however this first season will be just a score and a few stats each game, I won't have a super in depth analysis like I will do for season 2. Later tonight I will make a post going over each game this year and hopefully we can start season 2. I want to get this to next season quickly so it can feel like a new dynasty. I've been away so long, so I'm going to try and get this back going. Season one will be just like real life anyway. I'm really excited to get this back going and I hope you all are too.

Not sure... obviously I didn't create these and my computer can't hold the file type I think it was. So I have no clue.
