    ARMY HEAD COACH DISMISSED

WEST POINT, NY -- Army Athletic Director Boo Corrigan announced the dismissal of Army football head coach Rich Ellerson in a press conference held earlier today. The move comes as no surprise to many, as the Black Knights' recent seasons have been marked by many losses, the most recent ending 2-10 for the academy team.

"Rich did a heckuva job against all the challenges that are presented as the head coach of a service academy team," Corrigan said,"but we're looking to make some changes, and unfortunately it was decided that he would not be returning to coach the 2013 season for us."

Army has already begun looking for suitable candidates.

    ARMY ANNOUNCES NEW HEAD COACH

WEST POINT, NY -- Army Athletic Director Boo Corrigan announced the hiring of Army football's next head coach in a press conference held early this morning. This comes one month after the dismissal of former head coach Rich Ellerson. Army has hired Colton Hagan, a native of Huntsville, Alabama, to become Army's next head coach.

"Colton has been doing a great job on the high school level down in Alabama, leading his team to three state championships in a row, and building up those players." Corrigan said."He's exactly what we've been looking for over this past month, and he jumped at the opportunity."

"I'd like to thank Mr. Corrigan for allowing me this opportunity to coach at this level." Hagan said."I understand that this role will be a challenging one, but no head coaching job is without. Come this fall, I think this team will be ready to shake up the college football world."

Herbstreit - Army: Army has had a bit of an up and down season so far, and their record on the road is not impressive. However, they are still better than this Air Force squad who is 1-4 at home and beaten in most categories when compared to Army. Army by 10.

Army Fighting for the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy

Colorado Springs, CO -- The results of today's Army-Air Force game have shown that Army is on the road and fighting hard to take back the Commander-in-Chief's trophy. Army defeated Air Force 20-3, keeping the team in contention for the much sought-after trophy between the three service academies.

Air Force has already lost to Navy, putting the team out of contention. The winner of the Commander-in-Chief's trophy will be decided in the Army-Navy game on December 14th.

"Everyone played a solid game today that has kept us on track to try and take back the Commander-in-Chief's trophy," said HC Hagan in the post game press conference. "While we still have 3 games until that fight against Navy, it is definitely in the back of our minds."

Herbstreit - Western Kentucky: Western Kentucky is on the road this week against a tough Army defense. However, Army's defense is just a hair better than Western Kentucky's, and Army's offense is slow moving. I expect Army to be punting a lot this game against a tough Western Kentucky defense, which will give the hot offense of Western Kentucky plenty of chances to put points on the board. Western Kentucky by 14.

                          Feedback would be appreciated.

Probably upping the difficulty to Heisman during this season (I usually don't change settings until the end of a season) and fiddling with my sliders, because it seems like it hasn't been difficult enough for a team like Army

NOTE: This game was played before me changing difficulty settings and sliders, and is a major reason as to why I decided to change them.

                            Army Bowl Eligible

West Point, NY -- For the first time since the 2010 season, Army has reached bowl eligibility. The Black Knights reached this important milestone by defeating the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, 27-7, for their 6th win of the season.

"Everyone played an outstanding game today," said Army Head Coach Colton Hagan,"I honestly have no major complaints about the way we played. Most people counted us out of this one, but we dug in and held today, and because of it we are now bowl eligible."
