Re: UCLA Bruins: Building a Legacy
Foster Allen (Former High School DC, Current HC for UCLA)Los Angeles, California-- UCLA has made a change in its coaching today, bringing in fairly unknown coach, Foster Allen, who was a coach at a small high school in Iowa, was brought in after he was somewhat scouted by UCLA officials, seeing that he had one of the most disciplined defenses in the nation.Last edited by SonnyFranchise; 11-07-2014, 11:46 PM. -

Re: UCLA Bruins: Building a Legacy
Spring Game AnalysisOffense: The offense looks close to the same as it was before, a well oiled machine. But their is one glaring issue. Will the O-Line be able to stop the pass rush of the PAC-12?
Defense: A good run-stopping defense that may at times struggle against the pass. Season will show the defenses true colors.Last edited by SonnyFranchise; 11-07-2014, 11:50 PM.Comment

Re: UCLA Bruins: Building a Legacy
Newport Beach, California-- Today we visited the top of UCLA's recruiting list; QB Drew Walton out of Newport Beach High School. The 6'6 QB begins his Senior season tonight. UCLA is going in hard recruiting for this kid as Brett Hundley may leave for the NFL draft after this season. Walton has a nice arm and some decent accuracy, but what really makes him such a target.... is his ability to extend a play with his legs. The lanky senior has the ability to score at will at the high school level, and has really caught the eye of the NCAA, especially California schools. The 4 Star recruit is being heavily recruited by UCLA, USC, Stanford, and Fresno St. His main downside is that he doesn't have the cannon that Hundley has, nor the accuracy. But given a few years under Allen, he might be able to improve his skills dramatically.Last edited by SonnyFranchise; 11-07-2014, 11:50 PM.Comment

Matchup Preview *|* August 31, @ Nevada Wolf Pack
(, Away)#8 UCLA Bruins
(, Home)Injury Report Game Notes
Los Angeles, California-- UCLA take on the Nevada Wolfpack today. This should be a relatively easy game for the Bruins today, but do not expect the Wolfpack to roll over and take a beating. We predict a score of 55-21 in favor of the Bruins, with Brett Hundley being the biggest factor of the game.Comment

Nevada Wolf Pack at UCLA Bruins Aug 31, 1ST 2ND 3RD 4TH SCORE Nevada Wolf Pack (0-1) 21 #8 UCLA Bruins (1-0) 48
Los Angeles, California The Bruins started a little off vs Nevada today, but righted the ship going into the 2nd half. Brett Hundley (27/40, 241YDS, 3 PassTD, 1 Rush, 1INT) didn't have a very spectacular game, but did more than enough to lead his team to easy victory. The defense lead by ILB Eric Kendricks (8Tak, 1Sack, 1INT) gave Nevada a hard time. The main downside to this game was the protection of Brett Hundley, who was forced to scramble out of the pocket multiple times because of the impending pressure, he was sacked a total of 5 times.Comment

Re: UCLA Bruins: Building a Legacy
Moreno Valley, California-- We are in for another top recruit in the state, Andrew Abrams. Abrams is classified as a ATH, but spends most of his time at FS. The 6'1 ATH has shown us his amazing Zone Coverage for a High Schooler, and the hands that show why he is deadly on offense also. Known to be able to snag interceptions or come down and lay the boom on opposing teams. Abrams top teams are USC, UCLA, Oregon, and Stanford.Comment

Re: UCLA Bruins: Building a Legacy
Los Angeles, California-- BYE Week for the Bruins, so that means extra practice! Especially for the Offensive Line, which had trouble blocking Nevada's pass rush. We caught up with Brett Hundley on how he felt about being under pressure the whole game.
"Well it did frustrate me a little bit and it threw me off my game, but ya'know it's the first game of the season and we have time to improve before Nebraska, so we are going through this week with our heads up and ready to play."
We also caught up with ILB Eric Kendricks, who had a stellar game last week on how he feels about facing Heisman Hopeful Ameer Abdullah.
"To be completely honest, I'm treating this game the same way I treated last weeks, just gonna practice hard and try my best to help us win. A name doesn't change the game, a team does."
Dead to the point words from Kendricks.Comment
