The Coaching Career of Jeremy Moore (Madden 16)

    Jason Garrett out at Dallas
    Bring in Jeremy Moore!

Arlington, TX Jerry Jones has been wanting another Super Bowl ring for awhile now, and he feels he won't accomplish that with Jason Garrett under the headset. Garrett has agreed to step back down into an Offensive Coordinator role as a new head coach was introduced.

Jeremy Moore, from Arkansas, has been brought in to try and lead the Cowboys to a Super Bowl ring. Jones says he has a lot of faith in Moore saying that "Even though he's never been a head coach, he shows alot of passion for the game". This will be Moore's first career gig as head coach. He has spent several years as an assistant at a high school level, why does Jerry Jones thing anything he learned will translate to the NFL!?

Moore brings in a unique offense though. He wants to show the NFL that college plays work even at a pro level. We may see alot of plays from under center or the pistol. We may even see the Wildcat being ran often. You don't think he's thinking about bringing Tebow in do you!?

Coach Moore has released the team's depth chart going into regular season. He said he has a healthy offense and defense, but is worried that lack of depth on the defensive side of the ball could hurt in the long run. He said he's going to look into picking up a couple of defenders to make up for the space.

We also asked Coach Moore about the QB situation. Dallas has always ran a two quarterback offense, but he said he is wanting to change that. He's going to make room for one more Quarterback, because his offense he runs will need that 3rd quarterback. He gave us quite a list of players he's looking at. Dennis Dixon, Josh Johnson, Matt Scott, Tajh Boyd, Ryan Griffin, Tim Tebow, and Alex Tanney. We'll be following this closely as the regular season quickly approaches.

          Game Notes
First game of the season. Coach Moore is looking to take the Cowboys into AT&T Stadium and prove that they are a changed team. So many questions about the defense, and whether or not they are good. Romo has a huge load to carry this year, alot still question whether or not he has fully recovered from injury.

Arlington, TX: Coach Moore's first career game might be forgotten very quickly. His offense shined early on in the game, but the Giants figured it out shortly in the second half. The defense also looked very good until halftime.

Tony Romo and Logan Thomas looks like they'll be sharing snaps all year long. Thomas had a very impressive Dallas debut, and the unique offense Dallas is running seems to be working. The players who were recently signed to the team did in fact immediately play in this game and had very good debuts.

Dallas had a 34-13 lead at one point and that vanished as the game ended up going to overtime as a 34-34 tie. Dallas would win the coin toss and would get the ball. They would drive the ball down the field to the 10 yard line. Tony Romo was then intercepted in the endzone, which led the Giants to drive the length of the field and score a touchdown.

Dallas goes to 0-1 on the season, how will Coach Moore react to this heartbreaking loss? Well he didn't seem too hurt by as we obtained a manuscript from his post-game conference.

            POST GAME PRESS CONFERENCE
            ARLINGTON, TX
            AT&T STADIUM

"I have no idea what happened at halftime. We was playing great ball until we came into the locker room to talk about some changes. We went out and still looked good until the fourth quarter. I don't know if we just got tired, or we lost focus because we was celebrating too early."

"It's always tough to lose in overtime, but its tougher to lose a game that you had a significant lead in. We allowed 27 straight points and we had no answer on offense or defense. We're going to regroup and get ready for the Eagles. We can't dwell on the past, and thats what this game is already...the past"

Both teams coming off of close losses. The Cowboys offense knows how to move the ball and score, and the Eagles defense showed weakness through the air as well as on the ground. I don't think Dallas will have any trouble scoring on this Eagles defense. Chip Kelly has his offense ready to go against this Dallas defense. Dallas defense held up against the Giants until the 4th QTR when they blew a 34-13 lead and lost in OT 40-34. Will Chip Kelly call plays to take advantage of the weak secondary, or will he stick to his more traditional offense he's been running. This is going to be close, but NFL.com is picking the Eagles to win this by 10 Points!

Philadelphia, PA: Tony Romo had a nightmare record setting day. He broke the NFL record for passing yards in a single game, but at the same time he threw five interceptions. Coach Moore seemed to be furious with Romo on the turnovers, but Romo still produced high numbers that helped Dallas in the end.

For the second week in a row, the ball game went into overtime to be decided. Eagles got the ball first, but Dallas forced a punt. Five plays later, Romo throws his fifth interception would eventually lead to a game winning field goal from Eagles Kicker Cody Parkey.

Dallas falls to 0-2 and it already looks bad for Jerry Jones. Was it a mistake to hire Jeremy Moore? The offense looks great, but their defense needs some work badly. Maybe they'll end up replacing some defensive players soon.

                  POST GAME PRESS CONFERENCE
                  PHILADELPHIA, PA
                  LINCOLN FINANCIAL FIELD

"It's frustrating, to see a team perform so well and then everything collapse around you for a second straight week. We're capable of winning, we're just not showing it. Romo had a great day, he threw five interceptions but we addressed that issue already."

"Logan Thomas has impressed the entire team and owner. Jerry Jones has decided that at the end of the year, we're going to sign him to a full contract as our alternate quarterback. The offense we're running is working to perfection, now we just need our defense to run at perfection and we should see some W's come our way."

"Before I came in here to address you guys, I was given an update on James Jones. Unfortunately we'll be without him for four weeks, he suffered a Torn Bicep. I feel bad, we just signed him at the beginning of the season and the first catch of his second game he gets injured.

Dallas coming off another heartbreaking OT loss, they look to bounce back against a very impressive Atlanta Falcon team. Coach Moore has a hot offense, but has he worked with his defense to get them ready? NFL Analysts says no and has Falcons winning by 3 TDs

Arlington, TX: The Cowboys pulled off a defensive miracle at the end of the game. Alfonzo Dennard came up with an interception late in the 4th QTR to set his team up for a go ahead touchdown. Dallas gets their first win of the season and its Coach Moore's first career victory.

Tony Romo looked great, he had an injury scare early in the second quarter, but he returned and surged the offense as much as he could. It was looking bad going into the 4th QTR, but two scoring drives followed by Dennard's interception led to the victory.

"I'm very proud of all the players today. We kept playing when it looked like it was out of hand. We kept our heads high and kept fighting. The fans are questioning whether or not I should be coaching this squad, this squad doesn't need to be coached. They know everything there is to about football, they go out and execute the plays. The coaches don't run the plays, we just call them. All the props goes to the players who won this game. This is a players game, not a coaches game"

                            Game Notes
Dallas is improving every week, but they take on a really good Saints defense. Tony Romo will have issues throwing against this secondary. Joseph Randle might get the call most of the game this week, Saints has shown weakness in their run defense in the past couple games. As for the Saints, they will have NO PROBLEMS moving the ball against the Dallas defense. They have yet to show they are a good defense, too many yards and points given up putting all the work on the offense. They got lucky last week, but the Saints will have their defense that will win them the game. Saints by 21

New Orleans, LA: Coach Moore has one of the best offenses in the NFL, and the worst defense in the NFL. However, he's starting to win ball games with that combination and that is all you need. Fans would love to see a great defense so they don't get heart attacks every week, but Coach Moore is content with the progression he is seeing.

Logan Thomas got to see a alot of snaps, even though he only passed it 3 times and ran it once, he's showing command in the huddle and great presence at the line of scrimmage. He was sent out to do alot of handoffs to Randle so Romo could handle all the passing plays. Coach Moore had stated that Thomas was his Wildcat QB as well as the Full House QB, but he wanted to get him more involved down the road.

Is this a sign of Tony Romo possibly ending his career soon in Dallas? Time will only tell, but Romo is focused on winning every week. The Saints offense showed that Dallas has one of the worst defenses in the league. Coach Moore said he will meet with his Defensive Coordinator and come up with a different gameplan for next week.

"I'm content with how we performed tonight, we was down at one point but that didn't put us into panic mode. I'm going to have to talk with our DC and try to change up out schemes to see what will work, cause obviously what we're doing now is just not working period."

"Logan Thomas is showing alot of potential as a starting NFL QB, he's our Wildcat and Full House Quarterback, but we would love to get him more involved. We had him run plays today that was mostly hand offs, and threw Romo in there for the passing plays. He's showing command and presence and thats what we need."
