Re: Jake Carlisle-Becoming a Spartan
Definitely some good offers for OC mixed in there, but I don't think it'd be too realistic to leave after just one year, which is why I'm leaning towards staying. Plus another good year could cause "my" stock to rise even further.

Re: Jake Carlisle-Becoming a Spartan
I the feel of realism leaving after 1 season would not be ideal. Then again there are some tempting offers there. I'm with you another good year raise stock then the world is yours.Comment

Re: Jake Carlisle-Becoming a Spartan
You're a better person than me, I would've taken one of the OC Positions easily.Comment

Re: Jake Carlisle-Becoming a Spartan
Yeah, normally I would take one of the offers but for the sake of realism I think I'll stay at least one more year, possibly two.

Re: Jake Carlisle-Becoming a Spartan
Also, an minor announcement. If anyone wishes to make a request for a team they'd like to see me play, feel free! I obviously may never do all of them, but I'll try to do as many as I can per season (max of three, probably).Comment

Re: Jake Carlisle-Becoming a Spartan
CARLISLE ACCEPTS THREE-YEAR EXTENSION FROM UTSA
In a move that didn't surprise many, UTSA Roadrunners Offensive Coordinator Jake Carlisle accepted a three-year contract extension from the UTSA Athletic Department.
During the press conference, UTSA Athletic Director Lynn Hickey said,"We're very happy to be bringing Jake back for next year. The deal will pay him $305,000 per year, which is about half of [Head Coach Larry] Coker's salary. We hope to have him bring this program to new heights."
Carlisle led the Roadrunner's offense this year to a Conference-USA Championship and a bowl loss to #19 Florida. They went 9-5 overall, and 7-2 in conference play. Statistically, the offense was on of the best nationally, being in the top 40 in all four major categories (Points Per Game, Yards Per Game, Passing Yards Per Game, Rushing Yards Per Game).
Carlisle also turned down several other offers for both Offensive Coordinator and Head Coach, from teams such as Arizona, the national champions, Iowa, Maryland, and more.
Hopefully this will lead to an even better season this year. Go Roadrunners!Comment

Re: Jake Carlisle-Becoming a Spartan
Just an update on this. Been working on a lot of schoolwork with the end of the quarter coming up. Also been working on adjusting rating with Work Ethic. Hopefully I can get that done by Saturday with a season preview either Sunday or next Saturday.Comment

TEAM STRENGTHS
Offensive Line: With only one senior starter, this group has a lot of potential to grow, especially after these next few seasons.
TEAM WEAKNESSES
Linebackers: This group is okay for now, but will lose quite a few starters after one-two seasons. Some great recruiting at the position could stave that off, though.Comment
