Thanks man. The offense has had a great game running (Week 1) and a good game passing (Week 2). Just need to translate that together. Defense on the other hand will likely take 2-3 years off my life at this point. May need to transition away from the 3-4 D.

Monarchs Fight Back for First FBS Win

Norfolk, VA (AP) - Early on, it looked to be another poor defensive performance by the ODU Monarchs. Coach Eck would not allow it, and made the adjustments yet to be seen by Monarch fans this season in a 32-12 comeback win. Coach Eck spoke with reporters after the game. "We made the changes we needed. It allowed us to play a helluva lot better in the second half. We still see some things we need to do to get better, but this allows us to build on today's success."

Lowry was a major key in the fourth quarter as he helped lead the 14 play drive that took up more than seven minutes off the clock in what was still a close game. He punctuated the drive with a one yard touchdown, his first of the season.

Coach Eck on Lowry, "We need to do a better job blocking for him. He should have more than one touchdown on the season. We have a problem not blocking on the first level before we try moving to the next level. If we block the guys up front first, he could have a monster game."

Hands down the best game of the season. Still need to do a beget job blocking for my HB. Nothing more irritating than watching the lead blocker miss the first guy and move on to the second guy.

Alabama seems to be owned by TAMU in this game. My other offline dynasties they seem to almost always lose that game.

So we struggled in the first few weeks as we gained our footing. Offense is starting to show their might, but defensively, we are struggling. If we cannot slow the Up Tempo teams, or stop the pass, we will be looking at a long season.

1-2 through the first 25% of the season with big rivalry games with VA Tech and Virginia taking two of the next three games. We throw in our Homecoming game vs Connecticut in between.

Monarchs No Show in Rivalry Loss

Blacksburg, VA (AP) - The disappointment with this performance was visible early on the Monarchs sideline. Coach Eck looked like he didn't get the players ready and it showed quickly in the 33-7 loss to the Hokies.

"I take the blame for not getting the players ready to go." Eck said following the game. "I didn't prepare a good gameplan, and what we attempted just didn't work."

Lowry never got going and it was evident quickly that it would come down to the weak arm of Washington as he ended up throwing a season high 50 attempts. "We will look at the game tape and we might be having to make changes to jumpstart the team." Eck stated. "Lawry is been a disappointment so far, my offensive play call has been disappointing, I may need to change the playbook and make it simpler."

Fans have started to state their disappointment on social media with a few calling for Eck to be fired. Senior AD Bobby Wilder has stated his support of Coach Eck saying it takes a lot to make the jump from the FCS level to the FBS level and fans need to relax.
