East Texas University Sidewinders (TeamBuilder Team Dynasty)

After messing around in the Team Builder - Didn't really like how the ETU Uniforms turned out in game, I ended up going a different route, creating the Rocky Mountain St. Dragons.

RMSU has replaced Idaho and will begin play in the Sunbelt Conference. Two other new teams will be joining RMSU this year. The East Texas University Sidewinders will be replacing New Mexico State and the Florida A&M Rattlers will be replacing UAB. Both teams will be joining ETU in the Sunbelt. In addition to these changes I have also made most of the real life conference realignments long with a few other moves. Fore example Hawai'i has joined the PAC 12 and Colorado has moved to the MWC. I have also removed all of the automatic bowl bids.

I am not very savvy when it comes to charts, videos, that kind of stuff, but I will do my best to make things appealing and a fun read.

    SETTINGS:
    System: Xbox 360
    Roster: 2017-18 (I think)
DIFFICULTY: OS-Shared Sliders with a few minor tweaks. I am not a very good player so these may change based on how realistic the games turn out.

    HOUSE RULES:
    - I must stay at MTSU until I turn them into a 6* program and win at least 3 National Titles or I get fired. If I get fired I will play the carousel if enough people are following the dynasty or end it there.

    - Recruiting: I can only recruit prospects who are on my top ten list until I reach 2*. I may then recruit outside my top ten, but if the recruit is more than 1* above my school, they must be from a pipeline or within 1 state of my home state. Once I reach 3* I may recruit any prospect. Throughout the process I will try to be realistic in regards to recruiting and may adjust these rules if need be.

    UPDATES

How quickly this gets updated will be a mix of how much free time I have and how popular it becomes. Right now I am thinking 1-2 updates per week.

Blue Dragon News Central - March 2018 Edition

Rob Mathews, Senior Sports Reporter, Rocky Mountain State Gazeteer

For those of you on campus that haven't spent the past six hiding in your dorm room playing World of Warcraft or locked in the campus library studying for those final exams, you just might have noticed a new sports team gearing up for their inaugural season. That's right folks We now have a football program here at RMSU. Say Hello to the Rocky Mountain St. (Blue) Dragons.

In a fairly unorthodox decision, the Dragons will begin their journey in the Sunbelt Conference. That's right ladies and gentlemen! No toiling around in in Division II FBS. The dragons are heading straight to the big leagues, Division I FCS. We may be starting in the bottom feeding Sunbelt, but it is still an unprecedented move. Most programs spend decades in FBS play before getting a bid to move up to FCS. Some never will. Are the Dragons up to the task of playing such high caliber talent right out of the gates? Only time will tell, but I for one am excited to see them in action.

Leading the Dragons on this journey will be a relatively unknown head coach, Simon Saint. Coach Saint has spent the last decade coaching overseas. A former player for the Yokosuka Seahawks while serving in the military in Japan, Coach Saint took over as the Seahawks head coach in 20010. Taking over a team in rebuild mode after winning championships in 2007 and again in 2009, he was able to tailor the team to suit his play style and guided the Seahawks to back to back championships in 2016 and 2017. This will be his first shot at coaching an FCS program.

On offense the Dragons have two outstanding running backs in Sophomore John Paul Stuckey and Junior Taurean Ball. They will look to put them both to good use as Coach Saint has installed a Triple-Option Offense with RnS and Air Raid elements. To help run the offense will be another rookie coach, Danny Jackson. Coach Jackson has coached several local high school programs with mixed results, but his offenses have always been productive.

Defensively the Dragons will run a mostly 4-2-5 scheme. The unit will be led by a pair of linebackers, Sophomore Marcello, McKinley and Sophomore Joel Kerr. To help run the defense the Dragons have hired Mark Brown. Brown is also new to the FCS, but has had success as a Defensive Coordinator on the FBS level.

Expectations are low for the programs opening season. The team is raw but most of the top players will be back next year. If Coach Saint and his staff can do their due diligence in recruiting and the current roster progresses as expected they should show marked improvement after a few seasons.

The Dragon's will open up the season with a week 2 game at Colorado State followed by their first ever home game in week 3 against Wyoming. So get your Dragon's gear now and come on out in September to cheer on your RMSU (Blue) Dragons.

That's all for this edition. See you in September.

I assume your school is based out of Colorado, (name) and the fact you are playing CSU and Colorado in non-conference matchup's.
