UW-Southeastern | Rise of the Red Foxes

Welcome to the inception of south eastern Wisconsin's very own D-1 football program! I created a team for a fictional university in my hometown of East Troy, WI. Southeastern is a part of the UW system and fields athletic teams under the moniker the Red Foxes (a prevalent native species in the area).

I chose to just coach the offense. With only one other Division 1 program in the state, UW-SE will look to recruit top players in the state from the start. I've used the cupcake roster template. I already played through a season before thinking of posting the dynasty up here. The team was originally a 1 star caliber. After going 10-2 last season and winning both the MAC Championship and a victory in the GoDaddy.com Bowl, the Red Foxes moved up to a 2 star program. Throughout the season I'll experiment with harder sliders, I may also move the team into the Big Ten next season.

I'm currently running an old school-type power run game with some triple option as well as it works with my current personnel. I'll be looking to phase out triple option to an extent and commit more heavily to the power run.

I’ll replace the uniform pics with screen cap’d images when I get back home this weekend.

The 2014 opener in Madison at Camp Randall went better for Southeastern than expected. The running game was solid, albeit not flashy all game. The Badgers looked sluggish and dazed as the UW defense missed many errant passes that should've been picked by their secondary. The story of the afternoon was the Red Foxes defense holding the Badgers to only 10 points. The Southeastern secondary is one of the more talented units on the team and played exceptionally well all game.

Next week, Southeastern rolls into the Horseshoe to take on #2 Ohio State.
