TERRENCE SHARPE
QUARTERBACKS
OK, Terrence Sharpe - you got next! Sharpe is the latest in a string of uber-talented quarterbacks who have had to wait their turn behind other uber-talented quarterbacks at Air Force. Now a 99 OVR fifth-year senior, Sharpe finally gets to run the high-powered Falcons offense. In spot duty over the past three seasons, Sharpe is 29-for-37 for 403 yards, four touchdowns and one pick. He has 85 SPD, 88 THP and 98 THA. Air Force has adequate backups in 86 OVR Joseph Greene (85 SPD, 87 THP, 81 THA) and 84 OVR Andy McNeil (85 SPD, 83 THP, 86 THA), but this isn't like recent years in which there's been a high-90s backup as an insurance policy.

DANIEL WILSON
RUNNING BACKS
Daniel Wilson is the highest-rated running back on the team by far at 94 OVR, but because he's not the fastest, his position atop the depth chart is precarious at best. B-Dawg wasn't thrilled he had only 550 yards on 124 carries (4.4 yards per carry) and three touchdowns last season. Sophomore John Gray is 83 OVR, but his 97 SPD and 98 ACC makes him a potential game-breaker. A scenario in which Gray plays in most sets and Wilson becomes the goal-line back, because Wilson's BTK might come in handy in short yardage. Gray has only 70 BTK. Travis Muse will start at fullback, with his biggest strengths being his blocking ability (78 RBK, 76 PBK).

PAUL GIBBONS
WIDE RECEIVERS
This entire season will revolve around the greatness of Paul Gibbons. Now in his fourth season, the 94 OVR/99 SPD specimen has won the last two Biletnikoff awards as the nation's top receiver. He has 315 catches for 4,329 yards and 67 touchdowns in his career. He already has the most catches and touchdown catches ever by a B-Dawg receiver. He is zeroing in on Earl Bennett's record of 5,002 receiving yards for Vanderbilt from 2006-08 in NCAA 2007. Alex Webster is the team's highest-rated receiver at 96 OVR, but he is the main slot receiver because of his 99 CTH and 86 SPD. Webster has been overshadowed by Gibbons, but has had a nice career with 197 catches for 2,735 yards and 20 touchdowns. E.J. Jackson is an underrated target as the opposite outside receiver to Gibbons at 94 OVR with 96 SPD, 99 ACC and 92 CTH. Gibbons isn't just all speed, as he boasts 98 CTH.

GREG BLANKS
TIGHT ENDS
Greg Blanks has a chance to win B-Dawg's first Mackey Award, depending on how he's used. He got in the discussion last year, catching 53 passes for 481 yards and 12 touchdowns. Blanks is 86 OVR with 83 SPD, 99 AWR, 95 CTH, 74 PBK and 71 RBK. His backup is 74 OVR Pete Bower, who is a slightly better blocker (74 PBK, 75 RBK).

RODNEY DINGLE
OFFENSIVE LINEMEN
Air Force finally has a respectable offensive line after years of putting 70-some OVR guys in starting spots. Center Byran Brown and guard Joe Clemons are 87 OVR, sophomore tackle Rodney Dingle is a future star at 86 OVR, guard Justin Hayford is 83 OVR and tackle Brian Flynn is 81 OVR. Hayford (93 RBK) and Dingle (87 RBK) will be on the right spot next to the tight end, so the Falcons will run behind them most of the time.

MICHAEL BELL
DEFENSIVE LINEMEN
Michael Bell will switch from right end to the coveted left end position at which B-Dawg gets most of his sacks. Bell is 89 OVR with 82 SPD and 86 block-shedding. He has 45 tackles, 22 tackles for losses, seven sacks and two forced fumbles in ihs career. Rasheed Ingram (78 OVR, 72 SPD) will line up at the other end. Tackle is a position of strength on this team, with three players 90 OVR or higher. Erik Carter (97 OVR) and Mike Taylor (94 OVR) will be on the field in two-tackle sets. Bryan McPherson (90 OVR) will regret not going into the transfer portal.

ROBERT OWENS
LINEBACKERS
At 93 OVR, outside linebacker Robert Owens has an opportunity to be a dominant force and haul in postseason awards. However, it's more likely than 84 middle linebacker Jeff Burton will be the standout on defense. For whatever reason, it seems like middle linebackers thrive while outside linebackers are an afterthought in B-Dawg's defense. Despite playing in the middle, Burton is the fastest member of the linebacking corps with 89 SPD. Owens is the best tackler with 94 TAK. Owens did have 18 tackles for losses and four sacks last season, so maybe he can buck the trend. The other outside linebacker is 88 OVR Mike Lewis.

WILL HUSTON
DEFENSIVE BACKS
Will Huston is pretty close to the perfect cornerback. The senior is 95 OVR with 95 SPD, 99 AWR, 99 man coverage, 99 zone coverage and 98 play recognition. Who knows how all of those sub ratings actually translate to the game, but they sure sound good. Huston has eight career interceptions. The fastest player Air Force has ever had in its secondary is cornerback Rian Caldwell, who is 90 OVR with 98 SPD. He had 56 tackles and two interceptions last season. Caldwell was recruited as a wide receiver, but moved to cornerback as a freshman. Michael Estes, an 83 OVR cornerback, had a solid freshman year with 50 tackles, five sacks and one interception. He typically blitzes from the slot, hitting from the blind side of a right-handed quarterback. Ron Stewart, who is 86 OVR, gets his first season as a starting free safety. Bo Rushing, who is also 86 OVR, returns as the starting strong safety. Rushing had 73 tackles last season.

TIM McINTYRE
SPECIAL TEAMS
Air Force's kicking game is in good shape, if you don't take B-Dawg's horrific stick skillz into account. Tim McIntyre is a 94 OVR kicker with 97 KPW and 97 KAC. He is 41-for-47 on field goals during his career, hitting mostly short ones, and perfect on extra points. Punter Mark Tate is 95 OVR with 99 KPW and 93 KAC. Tate's slight edge in KPW will make him the kickoff specialist. Cornerback Rian Caldwell, he of the 98 SPD, will be the primary kick returner.
