The Wolverines throttled Northwestern on Saturday, 48-14, improving to 11-0, 8-0 in the Big Ten. Donovan Edwards led the way yet again, wiht 157 yards and 2 touchdowns in 22 carries. Edwards has firmly established himself as the front runner for the Heisman Trophy. Alex Orjo added 241 yards through the air. Fredrick Moore caught three passes for 82 yards and a touchdown.

Defensively, the Wolverines held the Wildcats to just 209 yards of offense. Makari Paige, and Will Johnson had interceptions. Kenneth Grant had a sack.

The win sets up a huge showdown next week in Columbus, between the Wolverines, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Buckeyes are 10-1 on the season, 7-1 in the Big Ten. The Buckeyes are tied for second with Penn State, and Oregon. A Michigan win guarantees them a spot in the Big Ten Championship game. A loss by Ohio State all but eliminates them from the Big Ten Championship game. A Buckeye win could potentially create a 4 team tie atop the Conference. #7 Penn State is at home against Maryland, while #6 Oregon hosts the Washington Huskies.

It's a rivalry that dates back to 1897. It's known simply as "The Game" And for the fourth straight season, the Michigan Wolverines have won "The Game".

The Wolverines survived a furious 4th quarter Ohio State comeback attempt, to prevail 42-35. Trailing by that score, the Buckeyes drove down the field, but Makari Paige intercepted a Will Howard pass in the endzone, thwarting the comeback.

Michigan jumped out to a 28-7 lead with just over 2 minutes left in the first half. But the Buckeyes got a quick touchdown, then got the ball back on an interception on the first play of Michigan's ensuing possession. Another touchdown, and the lead was cut to 28-21 at halftime.

A Kalel Mullings touchdown run late in the third quarter put the Wolverines up 35-21. But the Buckeyes scored early in the 4th, to cut the lead back down to 7. Michigan went back up by 14 on a Marlin Klein 12 yard touchdown reception with 7:59 left in the game. But Ohio State cut the lead back to 7 with 3:30 left. Following a missed field goal, the Buckeyes got the ball back, and marched down the field, before Paige's interception.

Michigan finished the game with 571 total yards of offense, including 190 yards on 21 carries from Heisman candidate Donovan Edwards, who left the game several times with an apparent chest injury. QB Alex Orji threw for 323 yards, and a pair of touchdowns. Will Howared threw 4 touchdown passes for the Buckeyes. Ohio State only managed 38 yards on the ground.

With the win, the Wolverines finish the regular season undefeated, 12-0, 9-0 in the Big Ten. They will head to the Big Ten Championship game against the Oregon Ducks in two weeks (Devember 14th). Michigan beat Oregon 24-11 at home earlier in the season. Both the Wolverines, and the Ducks are likely headed to the College Football Playoff, but the winner will get one of the four first round byes.

Just here to say you're doing a great job on this dynasty, love the story telling.

Are you just using the arena here to track stats or do you have your own tracking? Constantly trying to optimize for best and easiest dynasty stat tracking.

Thank you. Much appreciated. Most everything I track is done so on google sheets. Google sheets allows you to share a document either via link, or by embedding via a HTML code. SO, what I do, is I create an entry on the Arena/Dynasty section of Operationsports, then embed the individual sheet in that entry.

Then, I only have to update the google sheet, and it automatically publishes the changes to the entry that was made on the Arena/Dynasty. So I don't have to create a new entry on Op Sports each time I update the standings, or stats, or schedule.

Then I simply put a link to each individual page (standings/stats, etc) each time I post an article in the forums.

Even the box scores for my games are done on Google sheets, though I did use the Dynasty tables here at Operation sports as a basis for the design of my sheets.

I've got it down to almost a science, where it takes me about a half hour after every game, to update the google sheets for standings, stats, schedule, and the various polls/rankings.

Here shortly, I will add tables for the playoff tree, and bowl games.

Awesome man. In my dynasty the first Natty I won was against Georgia too. On a blocked XP to win.

Thank you to you both for following. Gonna be a bit of a delay between year one, and year two, as I am going to combine this with my Detroit Lions Franchise that I just began playing. I made a thread in these forums (username KDUTCH98). I use separate usernames to keep things more organized. I will put a link to that forum page in subsequent posts in this one.
