Wow that was alot closer then I thought it would. How are you liking the new slider set. I have been running Armor and Swords with my current one but I had to adjust the Blocks in the Back cause I was getting like 9 calls a game. Also I still can't figure out where I want the Player speed threshold. I see some people prefer it in the 30-40 range well others say running 70-80 is better.

I have played multiple games on both and honestly I think I prefer the lower#.

Out of all the sliders i've tried, they are probably my favorite. It does a nice job of making you work for it offensively, Harbor even gets run down on lobs at times now lol, while not feeling cheesy. And same defensively, they still have a few plays a game where you just shake your head, but it doesn't feel like the game is going out of the way to cheat you like it does on Heisman.

I like it higher, I try and recruit speed > everything at most skill positions so I feel like it shows more with the higher threshold compared to other sliders.

as for the game, yeah it was a roller coaster. We've been starting slow lately, which is partly play calling. I fall in love with trying to get cute instead of sticking to the basics and then calling a shot play on occasion, especially on 1st down. I'll end up with 2 and long real quick then have to fight my way out. But I thought for sure it was a wrap when Onuwalu broke the 72 yarder. Then I thought we were going to OT with a 67 OVR kicker, but he came up clutch

LEFT - Brandon Nicholson skying for the 1st of four interceptions by the Ball State defense on the evneing.
CENTER - Bo Darrisaw finally wiggled free on a 88 yard TD catch and run as Central Michigan scored two feel good touchdowns in the 4th quarter.
RIGHT - The few Cardinals fans in attendance got a glimpse into the near future as freshman Titus Awe and Cortez Duval took the field together late in the blowout.

Mount Pleasant, MI. - #5 Ball State continued its undefeated run in emphatic fashion, dismantling Central Michigan 63-17 on the road. The Cardinals overwhelmed the Chippewas with a balanced offensive attack, tallying 635 yards while their opportunistic defense intercepted CMU quarterback Tyler Jefferson four times—one in each quarter.

Ball State wasted no time asserting its dominance. Christian Davis opened the scoring with a spectacular 60-yard touchdown run, setting the tone early. Quarterback Kadin Semonza then found Nyck Harbor for a 15-yard touchdown pass, followed shortly by a 36-yard strike to Theo Hrynkiewicz. By the end of the first quarter, the Cardinals were up 21-0, and the game already felt out of reach for Central Michigan.

Central Michigan got on the board with a 21-yard field goal from James Goss, but Ball State quickly extinguished any hopes of a comeback. Semonza connected with Philip Onwualu for a 7-yard touchdown and followed it up with a 21-yard touchdown pass to Davis, who showcased his versatility as both a runner and a receiver. At halftime, Ball State led 35-3, with Semonza throwing four touchdown passes in just two quarters of action.

The Cardinals continued to dominate in the third quarter. After another interception of Jefferson, Semonza capped a methodical drive with a 12-yard touchdown pass to Onwualu, extending the lead to 42-3. Ball State’s defense was relentless, stifling the Chippewas and forcing them into repeated mistakes.

With the game firmly in hand, head coach Nash Savage gave true freshman quarterback Titus Awe valuable playing time, evaluating him as a potential successor to Semonza, who will graduate this winter. Awe led a balanced attack that added three more touchdowns in the fourth quarter, including his own 5-yard rushing score.

Central Michigan managed two late touchdowns, including an 88-yard bomb from Jefferson to Bo Darrisaw and a 3-yard pass to Evan Boyd, but it was far too little, too late. Davis capped off his dominant performance with an 8-yard touchdown run, cementing the 63-17 victory for Ball State.

LEFT - Nyck Harbor laying out for a TD catch in the 2nd Q.
CENTER - Gotkowski lead the Miami team to a touchdown hoping to end the half with momentum, but Ball State would rally to score before the half for a 28-7 lead.
RIGHT - Willizhuan Yates shutting down the only other Redhawks drive that passed the 50 yard line.

Oxford ,OH. - The #5 Ball State Cardinals (7-0) continued their march toward a potential playoff berth with a dominant 49-7 victory over Miami (OH) (2-6). Led by a sensational performance from quarterback Kadin Semonza, the Cardinals overwhelmed the RedHawks on both sides of the ball, amassing 522 yards of total offense while holding Miami to just 146 yards.

Ball State started strong, with Semonza capping two early drives with short touchdown runs of 1 and 2 yards to give the Cardinals a 14-0 lead. The defense set the tone early as well, sacking Miami QB Thomas Gotkowski twice in the opening quarter and stuffing the RedHawks’ rushing attack.

Semonza continued his dominance in the second quarter, connecting with Nyck Harbor on a 4-yard touchdown pass to extend the lead to 21-0. Miami briefly showed signs of life, as Gotkowski found Hunter Teal for a 1-yard touchdown pass, cutting the deficit to 21-7. However, Ball State quickly responded, with Semonza throwing a 3-yard strike to Philip Onwualu just before halftime, restoring the Cardinals’ 21-point lead at 28-7.

The second half belonged to Ball State’s defense and the deep-ball connection between Semonza and Harbor. On the opening drive of the third quarter, Semonza hit Harbor for a stunning 60-yard touchdown, effectively sealing the game. The defense piled on with four more sacks in the quarter, keeping Miami’s offense in reverse.

Semonza added two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter to cap off his incredible night. First, he found RJ Mukes III for a 14-yard score, and later, he punched in his third rushing touchdown of the game on a 2-yard keeper. The defense closed out the game with two turnovers—a fumble recovery and an interception—while limiting Miami to negative rushing yards on the night.

Ball State’s defense was relentless, recording eight sacks, four in each half, and forcing two turnovers in the second half. Miami’s offensive line had no answer for the Cardinals’ pass rush, which contributed to the RedHawks finishing with -49 rushing yards.

Former Miami (OH) QB Ben Roethlisberger attended the game for Senior Night and praised Semonza’s performance afterward:

“I think he’s the real deal. He looks mature back there and unfazed by anything the defense does. Ball State is my sleeper pick for the National Championship. So long as he’s playing like this, I don’t see how a defense stops them.”

The victory keeps Ball State undefeated at 8-0 and firmly in the national championship conversation. With Semonza playing at an elite level and a defense that continues to stifle opponents, the Cardinals look like a team poised to make a deep postseason run.

LEFT - Ricky Hunt Jr slicing his way to tie the game at 7. Despite the score, Hunt had a frustrating day with only 44 rushing yards.
CENTER - Ball State's suffocating defense continues to disrupt offenses, this time with the strip sack.
RIGHT - The explosive day from Semonza was somewhat muted by three redzone turnovers (2 INT, FF).

Muncie, IN. - The #6 Ball State Cardinals (8-0) delivered a commanding 56-7 victory over the Ohio Bobcats (3-5), remaining undefeated and further solidifying their position in the playoff race. Despite an early misstep that allowed Ohio to tie the game in the first quarter, Ball State took control with an explosive second quarter and never looked back.

Ohio opened the game with a strong drive, as QB Jacob Winters completed both of his passes for 78 yards, setting up Ricky Hunt Jr.’s 3-yard touchdown run to tie the game at 7-7. Ball State had already set the tone moments earlier when Kadin Semonza connected with Nyck Harbor on a 76-yard touchdown pass.

The Cardinals dominated the second quarter, outscoring the Bobcats 28-0. Semonza scored on a 2-yard quarterback keeper before Ball State defense got lucky after Dee Katula fumbled on the goaline, with Philip Onwualu recovering the fumble in the endzone. Semonza and Harbor continued to shine, connecting on a 17-yard touchdown pass, followed by a 53-yard scoring strike to Onwualu. The defense made life miserable for Ohio’s offense, as Winters struggled to replicate his early success.

The third quarter was quieter but no less effective for Ball State, as Semonza found Harbor again for a 27-yard touchdown, marking Harbor’s third scoring reception of the day. Meanwhile, the Cardinals’ defense continued to dominate, registering six sacks on the afternoon and holding Ohio to just 20 rushing yards.

Ball State added two more touchdowns in the final quarter. Semonza punched in his second rushing touchdown of the game from 2 yards out, and true freshman QB Titus Awe, entering late in the game, connected with Harbor for a 15-yard touchdown to cap the scoring.

Ohio’s offense started with promise but quickly fizzled. After a perfect 2-for-2 start on the opening drive, Winters finished the day 5-for-15 for just 62 yards and left the game early in the third quarter.

Despite Semonza’s three turnovers (2INT, FF), Ball State’s offense was unstoppable, racking up 638 total yards, including 329 on the ground. The Cardinals’ defensive front overwhelmed Ohio’s offensive line, stifling the Bobcats’ rushing attack and pressuring Winters relentlessly.

After the game, Ball State secured commitments from three offensive line recruits: tackle Tyreke Rhodes (#497), center Scott Landry (#666), and guard Noah Meeks (#671).

DeKalb, IL. - On Northern Illinois’ Senior Night, the #6 Ball State Cardinals (9-0) crushed the Huskies (4-5) 52-16, delivering another dominant performance and spoiling a second rival’s Senior Night this season. The game was headlined by Ball State quarterback Kadin Semonza’s record-breaking performance, as he eclipsed Case Keenum’s NCAA career touchdown record of 155.

Semonza’s historic moment came in the third quarter when he connected with Nyck Harbor for a 6-yard touchdown, his 156th career touchdown pass. Fittingly, the milestone went to Harbor, who has been Semonza’s go-to target with 83 touchdown receptions over the last three years.

The game began with both teams trading early touchdowns. Semonza got the Cardinals on the board with a 3-yard rushing score, but Northern Illinois responded with a 5-yard touchdown pass from Ofisa Meatoga to Jeff Troutman, tying the game at 7-7.

The Cardinals exploded in the second quarter, outscoring Northern Illinois 21-0. Semonza showcased his connection with Philip Onwualu, who caught all three touchdowns in the quarter—a 5-yarder, a 68-yard bomb, and a 1-yard score—to give Ball State a commanding 28-7 lead at halftime.

After a 24-yard field goal by Darrelle Stephen and a 6-yard rushing touchdown by Northern Illinois’ Jaylen Poe, Semonza made history on a 6-yard touchdown pass to Nyck Harbor, breaking the NCAA career touchdown record. The Cardinals extended their lead to 38-13 entering the final quarter.

Semonza continued his dominance in the fourth quarter, adding a 1-yard rushing touchdown before Christian Davis capped the scoring with a 1-yard run. Northern Illinois managed a late 26-yard field goal by Malachi Doss but failed to make the game competitive.

Ball State finished with 505 total yards of offense, including a balanced 273 through the air and 232 on the ground. Meanwhile, Northern Illinois struggled with missed opportunities, including a failed two-point conversion, a missed field goal, and a turnover on downs in the red zone.

This marked the second time this season Ball State has spoiled a rival’s Senior Night, following their 49-7 drubbing of Miami (OH) earlier this year. With Semonza leading a potent offense and the defense continuing to dominate, Ball State remains a legitimate contender for the national championship.

Ball State now turns its focus to securing a conference championship and bolstering its playoff resume. With Kadin Semonza cementing his legacy as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NCAA history, the Cardinals show no signs of slowing down.

LEFT - Legend Ogbogu filled in admirably after Christian Davis went down on the Cardinals 2nd drive, chipping in 140 rushing yards int he win.
CENTER - JD Sherrod put Kent State on the board in a flash with the 1st play, 75 yard BOMB to Jahzae Kimbrough. Unfortunately for the Golden Flash fans, it was the lone highlight in a frustrating afternoon.
RIGHT - Nyck Harbor toasting another CB on his way to the endzone.

Muncie, IN. - The Ball State Cardinals (10-0) continued their dominant season, routing Kent State (4-6) in a 45-7 victory to remain undefeated. The game showcased quarterback Kadin Semonza’s brilliance and a relentless Ball State defense.

Kent State struck first in dramatic fashion, scoring just eight seconds into the game on a 75-yard bomb from JD Sherrod to Jahzae Kimbrough. However, Ball State responded immediately with a three-play, 66-yard drive capped by a 24-yard touchdown pass from Semonza to Philip Onwualu. Semonza added a 5-yard rushing touchdown later in the first quarter, giving the Cardinals a 14-7 lead they would never relinquish.

The second quarter was all Ball State, beginning with a 39-yard field goal from freshman kicker Darrelle Stephens. Semonza then hit Nyck Harbor on back-to-back deep touchdown passes of 53 and 33 yards, extending the lead to 31-7 by halftime.

After the break, Ball State kept their foot on the gas. Semonza connected with Cortez Duval on a 20-yard touchdown in the third quarter before finding RJ Mukes III for a 5-yard score in the fourth.

Semonza was electric, finishing 15-of-17 for 237 yards and five touchdowns while adding 97 rushing yards and another score. His performance anchored a Ball State offense that racked up 532 total yards, including 295 on the ground. Running back Legend Ogbogu stepped up in relief of Christian Davis, who left early with a pec strain, rushing 19 times for 140 yards. Davis is expected to return for Ball State’s senior night next week against Akron.

The Ball State defense was equally dominant, holding Kent State to just 245 total yards, including a staggering -13 rushing yards. They recorded four sacks, an interception, and a strip sack, smothering any hopes of a Golden Flashes comeback after their early touchdown.

Following the victory, Ball State added to their strong recruiting class with commitments from wide receiver Frank Snyder (#577) and tackle Austin McSorley (#1423).

With just one regular-season game remaining, the Cardinals are firing on all cylinders, positioning themselves as serious contenders for a College Football Playoff berth. They’ll host Akron next week in their final home game of the season.

LEFT - Senior safety Cole Earlewine was one of many reserves who made an impact on senior day.
CENTER - Tucker Foster has emerged as the Cardinals go-to pass rusher opposite Kenneth Merrieweather as the LB recorded another 2 1/2 sacks on the afternoon.
RIGHT - When a 6'3, 291lb DT gets UP like this for an INT, expect a drug test the next day.

Muncie, IN. - MUNCIE, Ind. – On an emotional senior night at Scheumann Stadium, the #6 Ball State Cardinals (11-0) sent their seniors off in style with a commanding 55-3 victory over the Akron Zips (4-7). The Cardinals rested their starters for the entire first half, giving reserve seniors a chance to shine in front of the home crowd, and they did not disappoint.

Akron struck first with a 47-yard field goal from Owen Wiley on their opening drive, taking a brief 3-0 lead. From there, it was all Ball State. Senior quarterback Emory Williams led the charge in the first half, throwing three touchdown passes and adding a rushing score to give the Cardinals a 28-3 halftime lead.

In the second quarter, Williams connected with Legend Ogbogu for a 17-yard touchdown, followed by a pair of long strikes to Nyck Harbor (64 and 41 yards). Williams capped his impressive night with a 15-yard scramble to the end zone, showing off his versatility in his final home appearance.

The second half saw the return of Ball State’s starters, with Heisman hopeful Kadin Semonza contributing a 14-yard rushing touchdown and a fourth-quarter touchdown pass to Harbor, who finished with three touchdown receptions on the night. Christian Davis added a late 7-yard rushing score, and Darrelle Stephens tacked on two field goals (43 and 20 yards) to round out the scoring.

The Ball State defense smothered Akron throughout the game, recording seven sacks and holding the Zips to just 193 yards of total offense. Junior defensive tackle Cam Chura delivered a highlight-reel moment with a leaping interception, showcasing incredible athleticism for his 6’3”, 291-pound frame.

Senior linebacker Ethan Evers and safety Cole Earlewine each registered a sack, adding to a celebratory night for the defense. Akron was held to negative rushing yardage (-12) as the relentless Cardinal front consistently overwhelmed the Zips’ offensive line.

With the win, Ball State completed an undefeated regular season and now shifts its focus to the Mid-American Conference Championship Game in two weeks, where they will face Buffalo. The Cardinals are aiming for their third consecutive MAC title, having defeated the Bulls in their first championship win back in 2020.

The seniors and fans celebrated the victory with one last lap around the field, but for this Ball State team, the season’s work is far from done. As head coach Nash Savage said after the game: “We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished, but our ultimate goal is still ahead of us. These seniors have set the standard, and now it’s time to finish strong.”

Little surprised you gave Williams that much PT unless you felt like Semonza has the Heisman and all the other post season awards wrapped up. But it was cool to see. He played like a baller..
