Well after a couple of failed attempts at an EHM franchise, I am going to give it one last try with the New York Islanders. Why? Because as we all know the last couple of years they have been a complete failure, to put it bluntly. I am going to try to change that from 2007 and onward in EHM 2007.

Ah, so you are using the old rosters. I can't wait to see how Yashin does.
I think various teams put guys up on the block at the beginning. I remember Langenbrunner, Drury and Biron for some reason.

Ah, so you are using the old rosters. I can't wait to see how Yashin does.

Well, it is with the pre-game editor (I still have all the players from the OS Sim, watch out for them in the future), so the roster is slightly different, so those players arn't on the block, but as you could see Madden was.

Yashin will probably be one of the first players I will be getting rid of, I will see after the first season. Five years at 7.6M Per seems to much and too long for someone that lazy and inconsistent.

New York Islander Injury


32 year old defensemen Mark Wotton has been injured with a skate bite he received in practice. He should be out for about ten days. Meaning he has been cut from camp and sent down to the AHL. Wotton played 69 games last season with the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL) scoring seven goals, 19 assists for 26 points. He also had 58 penalty minutes.

And rule #5.2 is:

5.2 No trades, waiver acquisitions or UFA acquisitions may be signed whatsoever during Season 1. You may, however, renew contracts with your own players and staff at any time.

And there is not really any free agents that suit my needs. With that being said I may sign prospects Denis Grebeshkov who is signed in Russia and Sean Bergenheim who is signed in Finland for some roster depth.
