Wow, two young teams, high scoring games and the Blues came out on top. What a series! I bet that was a blast to play. Good luck against the Ducks!

Re: Beware The Blues...An OBG Production NHL 10
So...
I almost died.
Basically went to the ER when I thoughy my hernia was causing me to vomit and they took my word for the problem being my hernia. They told me to call the surgeon the next day to set up an appointment to be screened for surgery.
So I called the surgeon the next day and they gave me an appointment that was 5 days away. Now let me tell you...I was in so much pain that I could not even get out of bed without the assistance of my wife and I'm spiking fevers left and right. Total mess.
So five days later, I go to the surgeon for my appointment and it turns out my appendix had actual exploded and had emitted poisons throughout my abdominal cavity that would have enevitably killed me in the end.
So...they put a drain in me to drain out the poisions and whatnot from my belly and my wife notices that around the drain my skin is getting red, hot, and hard to the touch. She notifies the Dr. and nurses and it turned out that I had fluids trapped between the abdominal wall and the fatty tissue above.
So they had to cut three huge holes in me that were each about 7 inches long, 2 inches wide, and 2 or 3 inches deep.
The worst part is that they could not close them up, but had to let them heal from the inside out.
Which means my wife has been doing dressing changes on me twice a day for the last week and for the next few weeks till these nasty wounds close up.
So, in light of life and spending my time better, I don't see my self doing to many more franchises now or in the future.
Sorry guys...the game rocks and the new tuners really have done a lot for it, but I can't justify chising. Maybe at some point I'll do something really stripped down...I dunno.
I will do one more thing for this chise to sort of sum up the conclusion of the playoffs...but then this will rest and I will just enjoy the game.
Thanks to everyone who read this and contributed with comments and feed back.Comment

Re: Beware The Blues...An OBG Production NHL 10
My wounds have made signifigant progress and should be closing within the next 2-3 weeks. Until then, I'll have to get used to not going to work and playing a load of NHL 10. What'll I ever do????Comment

Wow, OBG, that is quite the story. Thank God you made it through all that! When we were kids my brother went through the same thing. He was sick for about a week and finally my parents took him into the emergency room. It turned out that it was his appendix and it was really close to exploding. I was told that if it had the chances for survival are not good. You are one lucky man! I'll be praying that you pull through the recovery. Enjoy your time off work...wish I could get in as much NHL 10 as you!!! :wink:Comment

Thanks man...I've been playing a couple games here and there every day, but I'm waiting for my custom soundtrack CD's to come in the mail. The game's default music is killing me!!! lol
As for the recovery...I still have about 3 weeks till my wounds close up. One of them will be closed in a week or so, but the others were really deep and wide...and long. So its slow going.
They were so big, that the first time I saw them...I cried. I'm not a cryer.Comment
