I bumped my up to 5 and I have only gotten 1, and that was Belak with a broken wrist.

I also want to know about buying out contracts. have a few players I would love to dump.

Great win against the Leafs. Nice trade, hopefully it works out for you.

You guys probably think I'm crazy but I think injuries provide more realism, more story lines and show the strength of an organization depth-wise. Of course I don't want to see Ovie, Backstrom and Green all go down with injuries but at least it would feel like real hockey. I dunno...I'm probably crazy...lol! Thanks for everyones input on your injury sliders. I guess I'll just keep mine at 5 for now and see what happens.

Secondly, I should be getting a lot of games in this weekend and the coming week. I hope to be posting some updates soon so hang tight...thanks for following!

I agree with you, I play Football Manager as well and I like it when I get injuries, as you say it provides more opportunities and shows how good you can be as a manager to overcome the problems they cause.

Keep up the good work with the dynasty, I'm enjoying it.

Re: Rockin' The Red! - A Washington Capitals Franchise (NHL 10)

Well I just played a few Caps and Bears games and I'm noticing a problem. I've had 3 or 4 major injuries in game and when I exit back into the main screen none of the injuries are popping up. Is anyone else having a problem with this? This game is amazing and I'm glad to be playing it but there are some quirky things about it that drive me nuts. This being one of them. Anyway...

I'm working on some write ups right now so I'll be posting soon. I have about six games played. Dunno if I'll get them all posted tonight but I'll do my best Thanks for following!!!

              Goalie Controversy?>>
              >>
The Washington Capitals traveled to Canada to face off against the Ottawa Senators. Washington’s back-up goaltender Michal Neuvirth was given the start after another strong performance a few nights earlier, something the team has grown accustom too this season. “Michal has played really well for us all year,” Coach Bruce Boudreau said, “I thought I would reward him for his hard work with another start.” The reward was short lived, however. Neuvirth would give up two goals in each period for a total of six on the night before being benched. Semyon Varlamov would finish the night not allowing any more goals. But all the blame can’t be put on Neuvirth. “We tried to hang with them all night but there offense proved to be too strong. It had to be our worst defensive performance this year. Hopefully we learn from this and can correct some of our mistakes,” Assistant Captain Ed Jovanovski admitted.
              >>
For the first time all season rookie right wing P.J. Tait seemed to lose his composure during the third period. “We were down…what…like six to two? I was upset! Our line(Backstrom, Ovechkin) couldn’t get anything going. No one else seemed to be stepping up. I figured what do we have to lose? We’re already losing by a ton,” Tait said explaining his frustrations. The rookie did step up and started firing off shots left and right. Tait connected on two goals in a matter of minutes but it was too late. The game came to an end with the Capitals on the losing end of a blow out. “I’ll have a little chat with Tait tomorrow,” Coach Boudreau smirked, “He produced late but he’s got to keep those emotions in check.”

Hmmm...my first attempt at the table and not so good. I am also having problems with my photo service. Trying to adapt to all these changes. I tried guys. It's late and my head hurts...LOL! Sorry to disappoint. Maybe I can try and talk this again tomorrow. Sorry for the lack of updates. I was hoping to do more but experimenting with this took me awhile.

The first time I used the table it also didn't come out exactly how I wanted it. Ow well.

I have found that injury thing to, what is your assistant coach upgrade at?

Tough loss against the Sens. Hopefully you can bounce back.

The Buffalo Sabres came into the Verizon Center hoping to take advantage of a Washington Capitals team that was still reeling for a lackluster performance against Ottawa. “That was a bit of a shock the other night in Ottawa. The Caps have been playing well all season. Their team is really talented offensively. I respect them a lot and was looking forward to the challenge tonight, “Buffalo goaltender Ryan Miller commented after the game. The Capitals did challenge Miller but he was up to the task all night. “Our thought process with Ryan(Miller) was to get as much rubber on the net as possible. I told the guys to shot until they couldn’t shot anymore. He’s an incredible talent,” Coach Bruce Boudreau admitted.” Miller wasn’t the only goalie in the zone tonight though. Washington’s Semyon Varlamov had an exceptional night as well. Both goalies only let in one goal each on the night. The game would end in a tie. Left wing Jason Chimera provided the game-tying goal in the third period for the Capitals. “Jason’s goal was huge. It really lifted our spirits and I thought we might have a chance in overtime with the momentum we gained,” right wing P.J. Tait said, “But my fellow Michigan State alumni(Ryan Miller) kept his composure and sealed the deal. He’s lights out. Gotta be top three in the NHL at his position.” Miller is making a strong case for the Vezina trophy this year but Varlamov proved that he might be making a name for himself as well.

                          Second Period Offense…

After a quiet first period the Washington Capitals found themselves down one goal to nothing against the Montreal Canadians. The offense decided to finally show up in the second period when Nicklas Backstrom got Washington on the scoreboard with his eighth goal of the year. Shortly after that Alexandre Ovechkin scored his twelfth of the year to put the Capitals up by one. Montreal’s George Laraque scored a quick strike while shorthanded to tie things back up, he also had an assist in the Canadians first period goal. “Short handed goals are just unacceptable to me,” Washington’s Coach Bruce Boudreau said fuming, “Unacceptable! You don’t just forget about defense when you’re on the power play. This is what happens when you do forget! They took advantage of a mistake we made. Good for them!” After Laraque scored Coach Boudreau was turning all shades of red and the Capitals felt his wrath. “I don’t blame coach for getting on us. We can’t afford to make mistakes like that. What if that was in the playoffs and it cost a game?,” Captain Alexandre Ovechkin said, “But Alex’s(Semin) goal was huge and this time it didn’t cost us.” Alexandre Semin scored the go ahead goal before the end of the second period and it ended up being the game winner. The team responded to Coach Boudreau’s pep talk and defended their zone well in the third period. Montreal wouldn’t score another goal the rest of the game.

The Washington Capitals came into their meeting with the Carolina Hurricanes looking to ride on the continued success of goaltender Semyon Varlamov and he did not let him down. Varalamov would end the night with 30 saves earning him a star of the game, his third straight game earning a star. “Yeah I’ve been on a little bit of a role. The guys are playing well in front of me. I’ve been able to see shots clearly and my angles have been good. I hope the success continues,” Varlamov answered when asked about his performance, “Ovie(Ovechkin) was great tonight. He made my job a lot easier with all those goals being scored.” Alex The Great was on fire tonight recording his first hat trick of the season. His first goal was a beauty, after Ovechkin forced a turn over in the neutral zone he skated in on a breakaway and buried the puck behind goaltender Cam Ward. “You guys were worried,” Ovechkin laughed, “all this talk of me not scoring. We’re winning games aren’t we? That’s all I care about is winning but scoring a hat trick is always nice!” Teammate Pavel Bure also helped on the score sheet when he sniped his sixth goal of the year. Brooks Laich made a nice move along the boards to generate some space. He then fed Bure with a perfect pass on his stick. Pavel wristed one over Cam Ward’s blocker but paid the price after. “Not sure who it was but they caught me off balance with that hit,” Bure admitted, “it shook me up a little bit right after I took the shot.” Pavel would be fine and didn’t miss anytime. The team limited the Hurricanes to one goal on the power play helping them earn the victory.

Not sure really...he seems to have become more of a play maker in his later years I really thought him being on a line with Semin would create some magic but Semin is sooooooo inconsistent. EA really pegged him well...LOL! I'm trying not to get too greddy since the first line is REALLLLY starting to play well together. But yeah, he's not on pace to score 50 which is un-Bure-like
