Will Lecavalier emerge with a great season or will he slump?


With the Draft out of our way and the Lightning, who have only got stronger during the offseason, ready to be a winning franchise, we spoke with executive General Manager, Peter Carey, to get the scoop.

TBLightning.com: What are your main goals for this team?
Carey: I think that we are ready to take a step up, I think playoffs are definitely something to work towards this year. I hope to develop my players while having the best possible season.

TBL:What has made this young team so strong?
Carey:With a new Defense built around Mattias Ohlund, Victor Hedman, Kurtis Foster, and others, our "D" has gotten great. We have the go-to-guys on offense: Stamkos, Marty, vinny, Malone. Smith is healthy and will be receiving great back-up from Niittymakki. things are looking bright.

TBL:Any specifics on trade details?
Carey: I respect my players privacy but yes, there are a few guys I'm going to shop around this season and see what happens.

i have decided not to do Os CAPS. I was going to take you guys who signed up and actually make stories of your hockey career from your perspective but then I remembered that were not allowed to do side stories anymore.

The people that I listed are just great Lightning prospects that are not in the game...

Sorry for the hiatus, I have this whole week off so I'm just going to tweak up the format and get stuff done.

Also, don't worry, I'm not ditching this or anything. I started my old dynasty in January and got into Season 3 by May before retiring it, so no worries there

Many followers of the Bolts thought that making Peter Carey Co-Gm would really demoralize Brian Lawton.

"I was a bit shocked at first but I'm excited to have someone by my side and helping me out with the team. It's going to make things more interesting.

Just a few things guys- The Pregame format that you just saw WILL NOT be the official one, I'm still making new banners and working on HTML and formatting.

On a side note, I will not be able to post THAT often so it's not like there will be a game a day so if you could actually read everything and get involved- I'd appreciate it!
