
Home Town Boy Gets Invite To NHL Prospects Game

Local WHL player Jamie Chattaway recently recieved an invitation to attend the NHL prospects game, slated to take place in Ottawa Ontario on June 17th 2009.
Chattaway moved to Saskatoon from his hometown of Brockville, Ontario in 2005, in 2006/2007 He attended Mount Royal Collegiate for his freshman year of Highschool while trying out for the Saskatoon Blades hockey team, upon making the team Jamie opened his WHL rookie season with a bang, scoring 24 goals and notching 38 assists for 62 points in 72 games played.
In his Sophomore year, Jamie moved to the west side of Saskatoon, to attend Marion M. Graham Colligiate and continued his career with the Blades. During this year he was named the alternate captain of the team, breaking his previous goals, assists and points record, netting 30, 41 and 71 respectively.
During his Junior campaign, Jamie continued to get his education from MMGCI. The Blades captain of 3 years decided to pursue other opportunities, and quit the team, Leaving Jamie to lead the team to victory. He did just that, scoring another career high 34 goals 44 assists and 78 points.
And lastly, during this, his senior year of highschool, and his fourth year with the Blades, Jamie once again broke his records for goals assists and points, this time with 38 48 and 86, the team made the playoffs for the first time in Jamie's WHL career, and in mid April of this year, He hoisted the Ed Chynoweth Cup, as the captain of the victorious team in the playoffs.
Now, in 2 days time, Jamie enters the prospects game ranked 15th overall by central scouting, If he impresses scouts at the game, he may move up, if not, he will move down in the rankings.
