Captain Arnott not pleased with performance

          posted 10-15-09

Despite his team's 4-1-0 record, Jason Arnott, captian of the Nashville Predators, thinks his team is underperforming. "We have given up 11 goals in the last 2 games, something isn't working defensively and we need to get it fixed."

Dan Ellis has made one start on the season, and gave up 7 goals last night to the Dallas Stars, and with the Chicago Blackhawks coming to town tonight, things look to only get tougher for the Preds netminders. "Any time you have players like Marian Hossa, Toews, Kane, and the rest of that team, you know you are in for a long night, we must play solid in our end, limit their chances and I must take care of the rebounds" said Pekka Rinne, who is expected to get the start tonight.

My power play is deadly, but I am struggling with even stregnth, and keeping them out of my zone.

Haha, wow 4 powerplay goals in one game...and still a loss. That's rough!!
My name is kessthemess because in NHL 09 Phil Kessel is a mess with either a penalty every two minutes or is laying on the ice with an injury...WHAT A MESS!!

Wow, that is crazy. I'm doing well defensively and at even strength but can't seem to get the power play going. Are we playing the same game...lol!

Try to cycle the puck around. Make sure that the guys on your PP have good slapshots.

I tend to cycle the puck, get someone in front of the net and blast a slap shot. In my "mess around" chise, I got my PP% up to 26%

                        Good Luck!

I normally like to boom slappers from the point and pick up junk rebounds, but I've also come to like the fake shot, pass to the winger on the side boards, who passes over to the other winger for a one timer.

quick update.. i'm almost to the trade deadline.. and picked up ILYA KOVALCHUK!!!!

traded Hamhuis and Radulov for him, and also earlier in that day picked up Valabik off of waivers from Atlanta.

Also, I switched to the broadcast angle, and wow I didn't realize how much this game looked like a real hockey game. It's almost like watching it on TV.
