Tale of the Red- A Blackhawks BAGM
I've decided to create my own BAGM dynasty story on these forums, after reading a few of them for the past 2 days I want to create my own. I'm going to apologize for the sub par quality, but my computer is really bad. The newspaper articles won't be very good, just me plainly reading. Hopefully my writing ability will keep it intersting (I'm okay at writing).Tags: None -

Chicago Blackhawks GM Dale Tallon resigns
Dale Tallon has officially resigned from being the Chicago Blackhawks general manager. In an interview with the former Blackhawks GM, he stated that he had had enough of being a GM for the Blackhawks, and is moving on to other teams. Chicago's owner quickly found another GM, young Brandon Lemieux, who has lots of experience with management in his short career with Chicago.
"I'm really excited on becoming the new Blackhawks GM," said Brandon in an interview. "This team is full of great young players and I see lots of potential with this team."
The young GM also stated that he planned on shuffling the lineup and making some key trades to secure some young talent.
"I'm going to set up the trading block, and hope for the best when the draft in Montreal comes up." -

Draft day has come and gone and new Chicago GM Brandon Lemieux was busy. In the first round of the draft he picked Canadian L.Bryan in the first round. Soon the Calgary GM came over and offered him a trade. The trade was Patrick Sharp and Aaron Johnson for Veteran Robyn Regher and Adam Pardy. Brandon Lemieux accepted the trade.
"The trade was really a no brainer," said Brandon. "Robyn Regher is a powerful veteran who can bring leadership to the team, while Adam Pardy is a great young prospect."
The rest of the draft wasn't as busy. Chicago chose R. Tanabe, R Hacker, A Pederson and R Acker in their respective rounds. The Chicago gm immediately signed all of them.Comment

Out shot, Out hit, out fought
The Chicago Blackhawks started the season with a bang in a 3-0 win over the Florida Panthers. "This is exactly how I wanted us to start the season," says Blackhawks GM Brandon Lemieux. "All our stars came out in a big way."
All he stars belonged to the Chicago Blackhawks. Toews and Seabrook got the first and second stars, both with 2 assists, while Dustin Byfgulien got the third star with 1 goal. Florida was left to dry in this game. Chicago outshot them 19-8 throughout the game.
"Our team didn't play with enough heart," said Martin Havlat after the game. "We didn't come to play, and that was our flaw. We left our goalie out to draw and we weren't aggressive enough. Chicago deserved the 2 points tonight."
The two teams fly back to Florida for the rematch tomorrow night. Neither team will have much time to rest, and the team with the most energy will win the match.

Chicago scraps a win after third period surge
Last night the Chicago Blackhawks got offensive power. In the first two periods the Blackhawks got themselves a 4-0 lead from their offensive, and goalie Christobal Huet looked strong. They played well until the last 5 minutes of play, where Chicago had a major defensive breakdown and allowed Florida to climb back up and tie the game with 5 seconds left in regulation play.
"I was pretty scared," says Chicago captain Marian Hossa. "We had it all going well until the last couple of minutes."
Ten seconds into overtime Toews got himself a breakaway but was tripped up. He was awarded a penalty shot where he beat Vokoun top shelf to win the game.
"I gave a huge sigh of relief," said an exhausted Toews.
The Blackhawks get a 8 day stretch to get all their energy back and take a few practices before taking a plane for Detroit, who are 0-2 so far this season.Comment

The wings drop to 0-3 against the Red hot Chicago Blackhawks
Detroit was handed their third straight loss of the season at home last night. Chicago's forwards and defense worked well together to take a 4-2 win over the Detroit Redwings last night. Marian Hossa and Patrick Kane both had multi point nights while Toews and a handful of other Blackhawks had 1 point on the night. Chicago recorded 20 shots while Detroit recorded 16.
"Huet played a solid game," says Detroit captain Nick Lidstrom. "We had lots of chances to capitalize and we found ourselves robbed again and again by Huet's glove work."
"I'm not happy with my performance," states an angry Chris Osgood. "All the goals they got were easily preventable. I robbed my team of a win and I am sorry of that."
While Detroit struggles for their first win of the season, Chicago head coach Joe Quenneville celebrates his teams star studded performance. "We've been great in all areas of the game and we deserve our 3 wins."

Chicago dominates Colorado in a 2-0 win
Chicago dominated Colorado, although the scoreboard says differently. Chicago outshot their opponents 24-9 last night. Chicago was very physical and their passing confused the Colorado defense. The only reason the score wasn't worse was because of some great goaltending by Colorado goalie Craig Anderson.
"Craig Anderson deserved better," states Colorado captain Milan Hejduk. We weren't hungry enough for the puck and the defense just weren't playing their positions properly. We thank Anderson for his great performance."
Andrew Ladd and Robyn Regher both got goals on the night, while Hossa and Toews assisted on both of them.
Chicago faces Calgary (4-1) next, and the winner takes the lead in the western conference standings.Comment

Chicago lands on top in a low scoring affair
The Chicago Blackhawks struggled to beat their Western Conference rivals, the Calgary Flames. In a very physical and penalty filled game, Chicago ended up beating the Calgary flames due to their effective point shots. Barker and Campbell both potted goals from the point in front of a screened Kipprusoff.
"I couldn't see a thing," says the Finnish superstar goalie. "They screened me with their big guys like Byfgulien and then they wired it to the back of the net."
But the Chicago powerplay struggles got worse, as Ollie Jokinen drew first blood on the penalty kill. He poked check a defenseman, got a breakaway and beat Huet top shelf.
"I felt very good that I was able to do that against such a great team," said Ollie Jokinen after the game.
But that would be all the Flames got as Huet sut the door for the rest of the game saving 14 of the 15 shots he faced.
Chicago ends their 3 game home stand against the Edmonton Oilers.
