    I'll second that.

I love the way you use a mix of bold and italics, it's just so, sexy.

    Keep up the good work.

I hope it works, I just played another 2 games since the change and well i'm getting mixed results. But I want to play 8 games with this set-up before I do anything again. Yeah, I find I'm not a strong supporter for MacArthur, find him always behind the ball in both offense and defence.

As always thank you for your loyalty.

Like I said above, want to play 8 games before I comment or change anything.

I'm glad my suggestions worked, thats what I love about the Leafs they have so many variable xs that you can do alot of things with them to make the equations work.

      Thanks takeshi, I appreciate it.

      Thanks Bure,

I have started to re-read your caps chise and I'm loving it even more. Wish I did some things you did in mine.

        Ovi Revenge

The Caps evened the season series at 1 a piece with a decisive win over the hometown Stangs, beating them 3 to 1.

"They were on us like a fat kid to a skiddle, we were lucky to get that PP goal in the 3rd or it would have been a 3 nothing game. 1 out of 10 on the PP was horrible, we got to do better." Jagr.

Having been secured to only one assist last time these two teams met, Ovi broke out the heavy play and tallied one goal and assisted on two before the night was done.

"It can easy, they never had a chance." Ovechkin.

On a terrible Stangs penalty, delay of game, Ovi (13th of the season) got things started at 4.55 in the 1st with a beautiful set-up by Backstrom on the PP.

"I should have had it, I don't know where my mind was - maybe I was to distracted by the eye candy in the stands. Ow well, it hurt and so did the other two goals." Pavelec, who was pushing a 64.55 min of scorless play until Ovi found the back of the net.

Another goal siren wouldn't be heard until 18.04 of the 2nd period and unfortunately for the home fans it wasn't a Stangs goal. On a back and forth play between Morrisonn-Ovi-Semin, Semin (7) would find the screen and lit the light for the Caps 2nd unattested goal of the night.

"This was the 2nd PP against us tonight, nothing is going right. What a shame." Thompson, who would be held pointless throughout the night.

More bad news would follow the Stangs as Backstrom (2) would take a pass from Chimera in the slot at 10.22 in the 3rd to take the Caps to a 3 nothing lead.

"I should have been covering him but I lost him, totally my mistake." Hainsey.

Before then game would end the Stangs did get on the board with a lonely PP goal by Bogosian (2) at 18.08 in the 3rd.

"Excuse the pun, but to little to late." Little.

Right from the beginning the Caps owned the Stangs and it was a tough defeat at home. But the London crew will look to turn it around with an away game aganst the Sens (6-5-0) on Oct 31, The Stangs beat the Sens 8 to 4 last time these two teams met. With Hedberg still questionable Pavelec will get his 3rd start in a row, while Dudley's line changes get another game to meld with eachother.

Yeah I find MacArthur is not tough enough to be a good grinder and not skilled enough to be a good scorer. A classic tweener.

Tough loss to Washington, but it happens. 1 for 10 PP hurts though.

10 Powerplays!? That's nuts, I don't think I've ever came close to that many, then again I've always played with periods a little on the shorter side.

Losses hurt, but at least you can say it was the Capitals. lol They're always tough to beat.

Agreed, I guess if there are injuries I will play him on the wing but for now he will keep the bench warm - so will white.

Its to bad because the 1st time we played them I beat them 4 to 2 and kept Ovi at 1 assist and was 1 for 5 on the PP. Ow well, looks like its going to be an interesting season series with them.

I play with OBG's sliders and I like to agitate the oppossing d with players with high poise which seems to draw alot of penalties for them. But I need to find a way to score on the PP (this team is very different from the Stars), or its all for nothing.

                Sens Downed Again

For the 2nd time this young season the Stangs beat the Senators 3 to 2 and now bring the season series 2 games to none.

Kozlov, who has been vacant from the score sheet lately, picked up his 350th goal of his career tonight as he scored the game winner in the 3rd.

"This milestone has just been sitting there waiting patiently, I'm glad I finally reached it." Kozlov

"So far this year we have had two players reach milestones, Jagr and Kozlov. What an honour to be here when those two guys have accomplished that. Congratulations." Thompson.

The game would go back and forth for most of the 1st period before the Sens would get on the board first with a late period goal by Michalek (2) at 19.57.

"I don't know what happened. I stopped the 1st shot but the rebound got away from me. Crap." Pavelec.

The Sens would carry the 1 nothing lead for more then 10 mins of play before Peverly (3), on the PP, notted the tieing goal at 10.10 in the 2nd.

"It was a beautiful play. Antropov was down low and found me on the door stop, just beautiful." Peverly.

The game would remain tied until the 3rd where Armstrong (3), on a 2 on 1 SH opp with Thompson, found the back of the net at 15.31 in the 3rd. But the lead wouldn't last as 1 min later Campoli (3) scored the Sens tieing goal at 16.20.

"I went to block the shot but I guess I ended up screening Pavelec instead, my bad." Bogosian.

With the two teams locked in a 2-2 tie everyone thought it would go to overtime, but some how Kozlov (2, 350th goal) and Afinogenov broke through the defence and the Stangs would take the lead and the game at 19.51 of the 3rd.

"It couldn't have been written better in a stroy book, what a finish." Kozlov.

Recording thier 4th road win of the season the Stangs finish up October with a record of 7-3-0 and take hold of the 7th spot in the East. This months 'Player of the Month' was definately rookie Thompson, who in 10 games had 10 goals and 9 assists for 19 points.

"I just played hard like I did in the minors, and well it seems to work here too. I hope I can keep it up." Thompson, who at this pace could generate 155 pts in his rookie season.

The Stangs will get 2 days off before beginning the month of November with a game at home against the Habs on Nov 7th, last time these two teams met the Stangs beat the Habs 5 to 2. Hedberg, confirmed today that he is good to go, will man the pipes for his 4th start of the season.

It looks like the Mustangs have the Senators number, lol. It's actually a great opportunity to create a sort of rivalry storyline like the Leafs-Sens fans have IRL.

Nice October update too, I like how you included each players PPG average, that's a cool little addition.

3 goals, +6 for Gratton, wow.

Hedberg needs to up that save percentage.

                      Jagr could do better.

Thats a good idea Axeshun, maybe I will write something next time. Wouldn't mind doing one with the Caps too.

I thought people might like it. Thanks man.

I know, he's been an offensive beast so far for a tough guy :-). It seems like he likes to join the rush on the left side, but at this point I'm not going to knock it.

He's only rated 76, so I will try... haha

                          Thanks thrashman

                            Stangs Win Again

A 1st period that looked like a close game eventually turnout to be a slaughter as the Stangs beat the Habs 6 to 2 (last time the Stangs beat the Habs 5 to 2) and recorded thier 8th win of the season, superstar Jagr recorded his 650th goal of his career.

The Habs would open scoring at 8.12 in the 1st with a goal by Pacioretty, his 1st of the season.

"He made me bite left, I didn't have a chance." Valabik.

6 minutes later Gorges, also his 1st of the season, snapped a shot from the right boards to beat Hedberg low and allowed the Habs to take a 2 nothing lead.

"I should have had it, it was an easy shot." Hedberg.

Before the 1st would end the Stangs would go on a 2 goal streak, scoring both goals short handed. Jagr (4, 650 goal of his career) and Thompson (11) would be the lucky contributors as the Stangs tied it up going into the 2nd.

"Those two guys are incredible, the way they handle the puck is something special." Hainsey.

"What a great season I'm having, I'm glad I came back." Jagr.

The 2nd would eventually end with a lonely Habs PP goal at 15.50 by Cammarelli (9), taking the lead into the 3rd.

"That was a lucky goal, we have to do better, we have to win." Jagr.

Starting the 3rd on a pp opportunity, the Stangs capitallized with a tieing goal by Little (4) at 0.45, but that was not it as the Stangs went on to score 3 more unattested goals before the game would end.

"That was incredible, we were unstoppable. What a way to finish the game." Bergfors.

The Stangs will get 2 days off before heading home to take on the Jackets (5-7-2) on Nov 5th. Hedberg will get the nod again.
