Thanks mikko, it was such a back and forth game the 1st 2 periods, I though I was going to lose, but after Little scored it was a revolving door.

Thanks takeshi, its going to be hard cause he's tied for 2nd in scoring on my team. Will be doing a write up soon about it.

        Quarterback Falls

For the next 2 to 3 weeks or atleast 6 games, the Stangs will be without the services of Kubina, there D quarterback.

"We all felt it when he hit the ice, that shot from Markov was like a bullet. And it went right for his right leg. Ouch..." Jagr.

"Kubina has been the center piece for both our D corp, PP, and PK units and his quarterbacking has been phenominal. Its going to be hard to play without him, I only hope Dudley can make the right move." Thompson.

Kubina, who in 11 games has 10 points and is tied for 2nd in scoring for the team, unintentially blocked a zinger from Markov late in the 1st period and went down like a ton of bricks. Not to return to the game, spectators witnessed a pain stricken Kubina being carted off to the medical center next door. Listed as a lower body injury at the time, GM/Coach Dudley held a brief press conference after the game.

"We all saw what happened so I'm not going to go over that. What I will talk about is the injury. Kubina has suffered a strained hamstring in his right leg and he's in alot of pain, thank god he didn't break his leg, but he's still goining to miss 6 games atleast. Its a terrible loss since we lean on him significantly with our young defensive core, but the show must go on. In his absence I have decided not to call anyone up and will update our D lines in a minute. I know alot of you are going to have questions about my sanity but this is what we are going with, so with out further delay here they are." Dudley.

        Hainsey - Bogosian (1)
        Oduya - Enstrom (2)
        White - Valabik (3)

        1. Hainsey is probable our 3rd best D man so it made sense to move him up. He has 5 points in 11 games and is also a OD minded player who will mesh well with Bogosian. Bogosian, next to Kubina, has played very well with 8 points in 11 games and will now be our focal point to our defence, I hope he can handle it.

        2. Oduya has been phenominal in killing penalties and getting the puck out of our end. He's a +11 at this point and I was already thinking of boosting his minutes so putting him on the 2nd pairing only makes sense. Enstrom, who has 4 points, will keep his post, no change here.

        3. Valabik has also been great in getting the puck out, he's a +7 but only has 1 point so awarding him a move at this point doesn't make sense so he will stay on the 3rd pairing. The big move here is placing grinder White on this line. Eventhough I was not impressed with his faceoff skills I was impressed by his defensive capabilities, so in an effort to give him another chance at the lineup I have filled in the missing 6th defensemen with him. I hope he proves me right.

                        OT Winner, Thompson

In the 12th game of the season, the Stangs finally drew an overtime match with Columbus and were victorious. Thompson, who has 2 goals in 2 games, was the man of the hour getting that needed OT winner on the PP.

"What a game. The Jackets sure gave us a run for our money but we prevailed." Thompson.

Jackets got on the board first with a mid 1st period goal at 14:16 by Clarke (4) which would carry until the 2nd.

"It was a bad play on my part, I was sloppy with the puck and Clarke scored. Damm." Enstrom.

The Stangs would finally tie the game at 17:06 in the 2nd with an incredible play between Gratton and Reasoner (1).

"Reasoner was completely open on the right side, I couldn't believe it." Gratton.

The third period would go back and forth on the score sheet as Nash (9, PP) and Blenden (4) tallied for the Jackets while Reasoner (2, his 2nd goal of the night, SH) and Little (5, PP) scored for the Stangs, the game was headed for overtime.

"There have been a few games so far the season where it has been back and forth early on. But never in the 3rd. Its been an interesting game, I look forward to OT." Jagr.

But before the 3rd would end, the hometown crowd would be held speechless as two Stang players left the ice on the same play. Gratton, who has 4 pts this season, was taken down hard in the offensive zone while Antropov, who has 8 pts this season, took a wirling stick from Commodore in the face. Only Commodore's high sticking was called but it was a dozy as he was matched with a 5 minute major and a game misconduct.

"I was okay with the hit on Gratton, it was clean. But that hacking Commodore did was to much. I'm glad they penalized him, I hope the NHL reviews it cause it was terrible." Thompson.

"When I saw both players hit the ice, with one of them with a fountian of blood my heart stopped. I was saying under my breath dear god let them be okay. I went app**** on the ref, this stuff can't be tolerated." Dudley.

Lucky for the Stangs, team doctors quickly diagnosed both players with superficial injuries and that even though both players would not return, they would be okay for the next game.

"Thank god I was wearing a visor and the stick only hit my nose. It could have been alot worse, I kissed my visor after the doctors check me out, i was thankful. Unfortunately I will be wearing a noise brace for the next couple of weeks until it heals, not exactly a lady pleaser, but ow well least I still have it. haha." Antropov.

"I was lying there on the ice in pain when I watched Commodore's stick flay Antropov's nose. I'm just glad he's okay." Gratton.

"When I was told that both players would be okay, I calmed down a bit. But I still want the NHL to review the play, it was terrible. If they don't do anything I can promise that the next time these two teams meet there will be a blood bath." Dudley.

It would only take 91 seconds into OT before the Stangs would lite the light on the PP with a beautiful goal by Thompson (12) and take the game 4 to 3 in OT.

"That goal was for Gratton and Antropov. It was something personal." Thompson.

The Stangs now fly out east to take on the Islanders (6-8-2) on Nov 7. Hedberg will get a rest while Pavelec will man the pipes

To be honest better then expected. With Valabik's roughneck persona, White adds alittle offense and speed to what would otherwise be a DD line.

He's not afraid to hit and block shots, but at the same time can get into the rush effectively and make it back into the D-zonew quickly.

When Kubina comes back its going to be a hard decision on what to do.
