that template is pretty cool. as for a position... well i dont really know what positions there would be, but i am willing to help. maybe compiling league stats/standings and whatnot. anything to get this to work because i think that a 30 team, 82 game league would just be awesome.

Okay...so maybe every month you could do a league standings chart and league leaders charts??? Or would it be easier to go day to day??? Week-to-week??? If so, you could be the OSNHL Standings & Statistics Coordinator??? For clarification, the individual players of each team are responsible for accumulating their stats from game to game. You would be responsible for adjusting the standings, etc.

We'll hash out the details over the next few days.

There are 28 other teams up for grabs. If anyone has an idea of how they could contribute in a useful manner you still have the opportunity to get your hands on your favorite team.

That is unless you are a Blues or Sabres fan, eh???

DRAFT INSTRUCTIONS (Official Rules)

On August 15th at 12:00 A.M. Eastern Standard Time (9 pm in California, right?), you will send me your draft pick via PM here at Operation Sports. The order the picks appear in ascending order in my PM box will determine the winner in case two picks arrive at the same exact time.

Those who assume league positions (which require a bit of extra commitment) will get the team of their choosing right now.

In the event that a team owner abandons the league, that team will accept a loss for each game that goes by without a new owner in place. While the opposing team will accept a win. In the case where two teams play that are both 'up for sale', both teams accept a loss.

And finally, if the league is not 80% owned by September 19th, 2010 6.pm EST, the league will fail to launch.

I don't get it.Is it a fantasy draft,a draft with the fake rookies on nhl10 or 11,or a draft with the real rookies from the 2010 nhl draft?

And is it on nhl10 or nhl11?

And what difficulty will it be on?

And if i decide to do this,i would like to be the leafs.

You have to volunteer to do more than the league minimum in order to pick your team now. Otherwise you have to wait until the August 15th Draft...once again its at 12 am EST.

There is a league minimum that will soon be explained as the processing of game reporting and blogging protocol takes shape. I'm a human think tank right now.

Sometime over the next couple of days I'll have a good protocol in place...and I'll post it in this thread.

I'm going to be clarifying things more before long.

There is no drafting of players at all...or any GM responsibilities unfortunately...

We will play according to the most current roster updates!!!

Every team plays their games the same night the real teams play their games. For instance, if the Blues are playing the Avs on September 21st at 7, I'll meet up with the player of the Avalanche at some point making arrangements to play with them the day before, picking a time to play sometime the next day.

This will be done via PM here on OS as well as a lot league communications...if it became too large, we'd have to move to email. But thats yet to be seen.

This is NHL 11, probably on Superstar since its human-vs-human...and once again, you have to volunteer a worthy contribution and be able to follow through to just pick your team.

Otherwise you need to take part in the Draft on Aug. 15th, 2010 at 12 a.m. EST.

Before people get to excited about chipping in extra to help out, wait until I post the league minimum requirements of involvement.

Just to participate requires a degree of commitment...the administrative stuff requires a whole new level.

Haha maybe, not for a while though. Before this was OS it was MaddenMania I believe, and I had a couple franchises on there. They were Madden franchises with the Bucs. But yeah, I'll wait until you post the positions available and stuff like that, I'm definitely interested.
