What a cool idea.. But I am in the same boat as others, don't have gold live and I play NHL at such different times it wouldn't work.

But I did want to give this idea props as this is a really cool OBG..

I could be really interested, but I really do think the schedule should be on a week to week basis, so it would be easier to exchange messages and schedule our games.

Ex. From Sunday to Sunday, you have to play all games of your team during that week. So if, by example, one of the guy in the league works night shift, he can schedule his 2 or 3 or 4 games for the week for the saturday morning or sometinhg like that.

In no case I want to take any decision for your project, just trying to help!

I would be as in every hockey league needs at least one French Canadian :P (guess which team I would try to get? )

This has nothing to do with Ultimate Team.

The games would be played as unranked games. The rosters will used will be the most recent rosters available via Roster Update. I'm not an online expert, so I'm assuming the most recent rosters are all we'd have access to online.

So...if the Blues made a deal, I may not get the players in the deal until the next roster update.

There is a draft!!!

I told everyone to make sure they pay attention in opening lines of the 1st post.

There is an official thread going up shortly. I will post it in the EA Sports NHL Online Forum here at OS. It seems to be a more appropriate place for this league as the Dynasty Forums would be drowned in OSNHL posts and threads. I don't want to encroach upon the other Dynasty Forum users.

Thanks...I was really looking forward to possibly working with you especially. Maybe you'd still like to do something for it sometime??? You choose the story of your liking and at your own leisure???

DRAFT INSTRUCTIONS (Official Rules)

On August 15th at 12:00 A.M. Eastern Standard Time (9 pm in California, right?), you will send me your draft pick via PM here at Operation Sports. The order the picks appear in ascending order in my PM box will determine the winner in case two picks arrive at the same exact time.

Those who assume league positions (which require a bit of extra commitment) will get the team of their choosing right now.

In the event that a team owner abandons the league, that team will accept a loss for each game that goes by without a new owner in place. While the opposing team will accept a win. In the case where two teams play that are both 'up for sale', both teams accept a loss.

And finally, if the league is not 80% owned by September 19th, 2010 6.pm EST, the league will fail to launch.

I don't get it.Is it a fantasy draft,a draft with the fake rookies on nhl10 or 11,or a draft with the real rookies from the 2010 nhl draft?

And is it on nhl10 or nhl11?

And what difficulty will it be on?

And if i decide to do this,i would like to be the leafs.

There is no drafting of players at all...or any GM responsibilities unfortunately...

We will play according to the most current roster updates!!!

Every team plays their games the same night the real teams play their games. For instance, if the Blues are playing the Avs on September 21st at 7, I'll meet up with the player of the Avalanche at some point making arrangements to play with them the day before, picking a time to play sometime the next day.

This will be done via PM here on OS as well as a lot league communications...if it became too large, we'd have to move to email. But thats yet to be seen.

This is NHL 11, probably on Superstar since its human-vs-human...and once again, you have to volunteer a worthy contribution and be able to follow through to just pick your team.

Otherwise you need to take part in the Draft on Aug. 15th, 2010 at 12 a.m. EST.
