Career of Severi Salo - From nerd to allstar dman?

This isn't your usual dynasty or bap story or beagm. This might be a stupid idea but I'm going to do this wannabe bap story as a way to motivate myself into exercising. I have made a created player with horrible stats and I get to improve them by exercising.
As my guy improves he moves up the team lines and as my created team improves (I'm gonna update the players once in a while) we get to face tougher competition. I will be playing tournament mode and if my team wins it advances on to the next level and gets to battle harder teams.

#16 Severi Salo, Capital City Knights
    Offensive Defenseman
    178cm / 72kg
    Shoots: Right
    Overall: 50
    Stats:
    Discipline: 60
    Endurance: 65
    Speed: 52
    Acceleration: 52
    Passing: 51
    Def. Awareness: 51
    Off. Awareness: 51
    Everything else: 50

Salo's strengths are in the offensive zone. He likes to join the attack. Has good hockey sense and can make clever passes.
    -
Size. Has trouble on physical parts of the game.
Defense. Salo sometimes looks lost in his own end and often gets out of position. He needs to work on his defensive play.
Salo sometimes takes too big risks in the offensive zone, resulting in dangerous plays on the other end of the ice.

    Role: 3rd pairing defenseman

    CAPITAL CITY KNIGHTS LINEUP
    M. Dubuc (65) - C. Ferraro (66) - Couture (66)
    J. Campbell (66) - K. Doell (66) - S. Hynes (66)
    J. Taylor (66) - J. Guerriero (66) - Rheault (64)
    B. Zancanaro (64) - S. Collymore (65) - E. Neilson (65)
    Yaworski (65)

    J.D Forrest (65) - T. Roche (66)
    J. Hunt (65) - T. Milam (65)
    R. Rawlyk (64) - S. Salo (50)
    S. Langdon (64)

    J. Martin (63)
    K. Jones (63)
    K. Mayotte (62)

I have allready played 4 'preseason' games, just to see if I can manage with a 50 OVR guy and a dman (I mostly play RW in BAP). For future games I will have more detailed stats.

    ALLTIME:
    9 1 + 4 = 5 -1 4min

    PRESEASON:
    CCK 1 - Poland 3
    0 + 0 = 0 -1 2min

    Great Britain 1 - CCK 5
    0 + 0 = 0 +1 0min

    Belarus 3 - CCK 1
    0 + 0 = 0 -2 0min

    CCK 4 - Italy 0
    1 + 1 = 2 +2 0min

I'll have some games from the first tournament up soon.

EDIT: I play NHL09, Allstar 7min periods with default sliders.

            Interview of mysterious Mr. Coach

Losing on the first round of the playoffs must have been a huge disappointment?
Yes, it was. Doing well in the first three games raised our expectations, especially the wins against Belarus and Denmark, who were ranked among the best teams in the tournament.

What are your comments on the game against Japan?
We took way too many stupid penalties, not only in this game, but in the whole tournament. That is one of the reasons we lost. Japan had great powerplay and we were lucky they didn't score more. Discipline is something we definately need to work on. I have to also give credit to the Japanese goalie Fukufuji, other than that one unlucky bounce, he was like a wall.

Do you have something to say about the play of individual players?
The experienced guys like Ferraro and Roche carried the team during hard times and scored important goals. Young defenseman Severi Salo played decent on the two games he was dressed to. I see great potential in him.
Our number one goaltender Joel Martin was a bit shaky, but we still have great confidence in him and our other goalies Jones and Mayotte.

Will you be making any changes to the roster before the next tournament?
We are searching for a couple of new players for the team. We already have a new center. We will release details later.

              New knights join the team
The Capital City Knights have made a few additions to their roster, with the signings of three forwards.
The first new Knight is centre Jason Guerriero. Knights coach hopes that Guerriero can bring leadership and discipline, two attributes the team clearly needs. He is expected to center the third line.
The other two additions are wingers Shane Hynes and Jeff Campbell. Shane Hynes is a power forward who drives hard to the net and is very useful on the penalty kill. Campbell is a well disciplined player, who will hopefully set an example to the rest of the team. Hynes and Campbell are expected to play on the second line centered by Kevin Doell.
With these new additions wingers Estrada, Robitaille and Morency have had to move on.

                    Changes in the line up!
                    1st: Dubuc - Couture - Ferraro
                    2nd: Guerriero - Doell - Rheault
                    3rd: Campbell - Hynes - Taylor
                    4th: Same as before

I'm tired of my guys losing faceoffs. When the center with a 51 faceoff rating is NOT your teams worst among centers, you are in trouble.
