MAJOR TRADE!!!

General Manager Mats Sundin announced a trade this morning.

" Thanks everyone for coming out. I'm here to announce a major trade we have made with the Tampa Bay Lightning. The players leaving here are goaltender Niklas Backstrom, center Mikael Granlund and a third round draft pick. In return we receive goaltender Dan Ellis and center STEVEN STAMKOS."

Nice formatting, really like the last deal there. Now you have yourself a franchise center to build around, and a decent goalie that will give your team a chance to win, or play as a solid back up too.

New Superstar Joins Skelleftea

After acquiring Steven Stamkos, GM Sundin completed another trade with his former team , The Toronto Maple Leafs. Sundin dealt Skelleftea's captain Brent Burns, Kim Johnsson and a 6th round pick in 2011 to the Leafs for Winger Phil Kessel and Jeff Finger.

Dwayne Roloson was signed after the first two games of the season. Since signing he is 4-2 and his backup Dan Ellis is 2-2.

Phil Kessel, who came over from Toronto has 5 goals and 4 assists in 9 games. He missed a game with a sore shoulder after hitting the boards hard in the first game.
