Just a heads up guys, but at the end of the season there will be a World Championship, and even more exciting next season OLYMPICS!

SENS is going to help me get the pools and matchups worked out, and I am going to edit the teams to match where players are skill and attribute wise in this Be a GM. Also there will be highlights from your guys games in that, but not in the Be a GM due to the red face glitch.

Frolov's Late Deflection Lifts Blues Past Islanders

-In an evenly fought game the different ended up being a late powerplay by the Blues. The Islanders made the mistake of going down two men with less than 10 seconds left, and that was all the Blues needed to capitalize. Setting up in a shooting powerplay the Blues got the puck back to the point, then a one timer from D man Pietrangelo to D man Cole got the puck moving towards the net. All Frolov had to do was change the direction of it for the game winning goal. Backes played well for the Blues as well scoring two goals including one short handed.

-Michael Morrow of the Islanders played a solid game, but had limited ice time due to the amount of penalties his team took. He was able to score a goal off of a rebound early in the game on a powerplay, and was a threat to score every time he stepped onto the ice. He was also on the ice for the only other goal scored by his Islanders. He finished the game with 1 goal and 3 shots. He was also a +1 on the game.

Our next highlighted game will be in three days when the Blues host Nathan MacDonald and the Blue Jackets.

Yeah it was a penalty plagued game. Your guy isn't on the PK, but he did have an impact every time he was on the ice. Two of his three shots came within 10 seconds of each other after deking around the D men and getting your own rebound.

Through two periods MacDonald is dominating my team.

By the way I am just watching these games CPU vs CPU.

MacDonald Dominates in Columbus Win Over St. Louis

-Nathan MacDonald made his presence known early and often in this game. He scored one goal and had one assist. He used his size and physicality to earn position on the ice and dig the pucks out of the corners. On his assist he got the puck from the corner and set it back to the point which lead to a goal. His goal he powered his way into the high slot and fired a wrister past Halak. The Blue Jackets came away with a 3-1 win in this one.

Next highlighted game the end of the month against Edmonton and Steamer.

Steamer Shuts Down the Blues Leading Edmonton to a Win

-Cleveland Steamer gave up just one goal on the way to a 3-1 win over the Blues. The only goal against him came shorthanded, other than that he looked unbeatable all game. One can only wonder why it took so long for the Oilers to put him in net. He saved 24 of 25 shots to finish the game with a 96% save percentage.

                    STEAMER LIFTS SILENCE

EDMONTON, Alberta - After a month of silence to begin his NHL career, Oilers goaltender Cleveland Steamer was finally granted permission to speak with the media. His first two interviews with reporters landed Steamer in hot water with management and they muzzled him for the first month of his rookie season. But after a good (not great) start to the season management decided to let him loose. Here is an excerpt from today's interview with the Edmonton Daily News:

Reporter: You said in the past that you were the missing link for this team, but you're only 6-6 and the team is 2-0 without you in net. What would you attribute the team's success when you're not in net.

Steamer: I don't pay a whole lot of attention if I'm not in the game. Have you seen the "talent" in Edmonton? It's NICE.

Reporter: So it's safe to say you're happy now in Edmonton?

Steamer: Oh yeah. Although my new Eclipse isn't handling the weather very well. Possibly a rushed decision to pick that thing up.

Reporter: What are your goals for the season?

Steamer: Well first would be to get my record above .500, that's an embarrassment so far this season. Aside from that I'd love to contend for Rookie of the Year but with the start we've had who knows. Then third it'd be kinda nice if we made the playoffs.

Reporter: How has your relationship with your teammates improved?

Steamer: It hasn't really. But that doesn't matter. They shoot the puck, I stop the puck. Our types really don't mix. And Taylor Hall had a mysterious cold sore come up yesterday, so as a general rule I try and stay away from most of them.

Reporter: How would you respond if coach decides to bench you?

Steamer: Since I'm more mature now, I'd probably throw less of a fit.

Reporter: A recent photo was obtained by the Edmonton Daily News of what appears to be you and a clear-heeled woman entering a Motel 6 off Route 73. What do you have to say about those allegations?

                    Steamer: This interview is over

                      WHITE SPEAKS ABOUT RECENT SUCCESS

Tampa, Florida - With the Tampa Bay Lightning leading the Southeast Division and sitting only a few points from being the leaders in the Eastern Conference, the Lightning look to sophmore player Jake White for their recent success.

"Jake has just been really good as of late, playing hard, working hard during practice, you can see he's been picking things up from guys like Stammer and Lecavalier" commented Head Coach Guy Boucher during an after practice report.

"Definitely playing with Robert Nilsson and Simon Gagne have really helped me out I think," commented White. "They're both great players and helping me develop my game".

White has scored 4 goals and 14 points in 15 games played, closing in for a point per game, much better than last year's totals. He is also sporting a +2 plus/minus rating, extremely better than an atrocious -22 rating he wore last year.

"I'm focusing a lot on defense, last year's statistics were unacceptable and I really got an ear full from my coaches, I'm doing better, but there's always room for improvement".

I have decided I will just do one game against each player a year, due to the fact that 1 time is the most I play some of them. I should have the game against Miller and Atlanta up here in about 45 minutes then the november report should follow

Frolov Scores Late to Push Blues Past the Thrashers

-A late powerplay goal by Alexander Frolov turned out to be the game winner for the Blues in this one. Third year player for the Thrashers Robert Miller once again showed why he is among the leagues best on the powerplay scoring one goal, and using his physicality and size to set up in front of the net and screen the goalie on another one. He was effective all game, but the lack of even strength offense for the Thrashers lead to to their loss. Miller finished the game a -1, with 1 powerplay goal, 4 hits, and 2 shots.
