Minnesota Wild: Creating History (NHL 11 BEAGM)

    The Setup:

Sliders: Deciding, will try out a few during gameplay, and make my own tweaks.
Rosters: Last EA Update from 4/15/11

I will be simming the regular season, and playing playoffs if they make it with monthly reports each month, but will have much more in depth coverage when the playoffs do roll around. It will be somewhat of a hybrid year as all of the changes have been made through the year, but I will be acting as if it were the beginning of the 10/11 season.

devo22 has a nice Wild dynasty going on too, but I just wanted to make my own mark on my favorite team. I'd suggest checking it out also as it's very well done.

    Thanks to all who read.

THE WILD LOOK AHEAD TO 2010-11 SEASON

Mikko Koivu (#9) will be a big contributor this year, and his success will be very important for the Wild to be successful this season.

The preseason is starting to wind down, and the Wild had a fairly successful preseason going 3-1. They hope that this year's preseason isn't a precursor for more injuries. Niklas Backstrom and Pierre-Marc Bouchard got injured, but Backstrom is only expected to miss a game or two, but in the meantime, Jose Theodore will be taking over the reins until Backstrom can come back. Bouchard might take a little longer to recoup and could be out up to a month with a hip flexor. The Wild hope it's not too serious and he just needs some rest.

The Wild open up in Finland and hope to get some success going against the Hurricanes after an atrocious start to 09-10 season. They will need Guillaume Latendresse and Martin Havlat to step up to the plate and contribute offensively this year.

Here's how the lines look going into the opener:

Andrew Brunette - Mikko Koivu - Martin Havlat
Guillaume Latendresse - James Sheppard - Cal Clutterbuck
Chuck Kobasew - John Madden - Matt Cullen
Antti Miettinen - Kyle Brodziak - Eric Nystrom

    Cam Barker - Brent Burns
    Nick Schultz - Marek Zidlicky
    Clayton Stoner - Greg Zanon

    Jose Theodore
    Josh Harding
