Great draft and I hope cammi plays out for you.

I drafted Subban and now he is part of my goalie rotation down on the Marlies. A decent goalie prospect....

You should totally trade for the other Alex Tanguay now. Two Alex Tanguay LW on the same team would be too good.

        Good trades, good draft.

What's the plan for Enroth's replacement?

I put the draft events in order as they happened so you can see I have plans plans for Subban as I picked him just after sending away the backup, maybe in a few seasons he'll be up in the big league.

That would be good, then I can refer to them as the one with hair...

            and the one without...

The plan to replace Enroth in the here and now is free agency. Miller is the main guy until he retires so until Subban develops I'll just be looking for quality older goalies to backup Miller via free agency.

Philly offered me Sergei Bobrosky and Maxime Talbot at the trading deadline last season for Brad Boyes and our first round pick which happened to be the #13 pick. Since I didn't get Pontus Aberg with that pick and Boyes is an UFA that didnt produce much at all...it made me think that I should have made that deal but like I said Miller is the main guy and will be around for another four or five years and with the talent Bobrosky has I'd hate to be paying a backup goaltender 3-4M a year to play in 10-20 games.

2012 Free Agency Period: Buffalo adds G Clemmensen; Trades With Vancouver
BUFFALO, NY - The Buffalo Sabres adressed the gap in the lineup after trading away G Jhonas Enroth to the Calgary Flames at the NHL Entry Draft by signing goalie Scott Clemmensen.

The 35-year-old Clemmensen signed a one year deal with Buffalo after playing with Florida last year.

The Sabres made another addition on August 2nd when they added C Maxim Lapierre from Vancouver in exchange for winger Ales Kotalik who returned to the Sabres this summer after playing for HC České Budějovice in his home country of the Czech Republic last year. The Sabres also added a 2013 3rd round pick in the trade.

Buffalo also decided to not renew the contracts of several players and let them hit free agency. RW Brad Boyes, D Shaone Morissonn, LW Colin Stuart and D Corey Fienhage were all released.

Really nice writeup. Very informative and easy to read. Awesome seeing Doan join up with the Jets for nostalgia sake. What is Gilmour's rating and Overall? You signed him but wasn't he your 7th Round Pick? A real diamond in the rough from the sounds of it.

McGuire you mean? He has a low overall but nice wheels, I mainly signed him because I was short of bodies at right wing.

Buffalo eliminated from any chance of making the real life playoffs in game 81. I got this realism thing down! lol

2012-2013 info should be up tonight or tomorrow.

                              It's Must-Win Time in Buffalo
BUFFALO, NY - Hockey is too important in the city of Buffalo to have a losing hockey team.

After missing the playoffs three of the last five years the Sabres have definitely done their fair share of losing. Now, new owner Terrence Pegula is making it crystal clear the time is now to break this spell of bad runs, or else.

Over the summer Pegula suggested new GM Block M's job may be on the line if the Sabres suffer a similar season as last year when they lost their final four games to fall out of the playoffs. Pegula also suggests he has no worries as he is confident the Sabres will be greatly improved.

In the off-season Buffalo loaded up for the future with two first round draft picks but also made some moves to win now by adding winger Mike Cammalleri and center Maxim Lapierre.

Those two, along with rookie Marcus Foligno will be input a lineup that has loads of chemistry.

The Sabres top six defense men all remain the same and former Vezina winner Ryan Miller returns between the pipes. The Sabres traded away Miller's backup in the deal that brought Cammalleri to town but replaced Jhonas Enroth with the free agent signing of Scott Clemmensen.

Lapierre is a hard-working player, I am so glad you got him. It looks like 3 Canuck players went to Buffalo! Am I glad.

I really hope you do make it to the finals! Wish you luck.
