Flyers Trade Disgruntled Stars At Deadline

There had been some rumbling and rumors about Jakub Voracek and Brayden Schenn's attitdues towards Head Coach Dave Hakstol. Most dismissed them as merely rumors or hot takes, but it turns out they were true. Both players expressed their opinions about being scratches despite not being 100% healthy(Not kidding, new Morale system has its kinks) and requested to be traded and both got their wishes as GM Ron Hextall sent Jakub Voracek, Luke Schenn and Nick Cousins to Winnipeg for Niklaj Ehlers, Nick Petan, JC Lipon and a 2016 1st and sent Brayden Schenn to Nashville along with goalie prospect Matej Tomek and two 3rd Round picks for Prospect Yakov Trenin and a 2016 1st Round pick.

GM Ron Hextall also sent Mark Streit to the Dallas Stars for their 2016 2nd, 4th and 6th round picks.

The Flyers look to be on the outside looking in as far as the playoffs are concerned and GM Ron Hextall continues to rebuild the Flyers by stocking up on draft picks in another loaded draft class(Arguably). Goalie Steve Mason has been out for the last couple weeks and is done for the season with a MCL Sprain.

*Voracek does not have his new contract, EA messed up when the new 8 year deal kicked in so it screwed with the salary cap. Same with Couturier.*




Flyers Miss Playoffs, Predators Win Cup



The Flyers overcame two huge trades during the season and a serious injury to their star goalie to come within striking distance of the post-season. Needing to win out their remaining four games the Flyers would drop three straight before beating the Penguins in the finale. "It was a rough season, but we're gonna use this offseason to continue our retooling and we'll be back in the playoffs soon." GM Ron Hextall told Philadelphia Media member. The Lehigh Valley Phantoms got into the playoffs and swept division rivals, the Hershey Bears in three games before falling to the Portland Pirates in six games.

Well sad news.....

Due to the whole being an adult and having two boys under 3, trying to keep this going has become extremely time consuming for the amount of gaming time I'm currently capable of playing. Sucks cause I really enjoy sharing my BAGMs/Franchises/Dynasties, but Life > Video Games. This isn't goodbye, I'll be posting yearly updates on the "How's Your BAGM Going?" Thread in EA NHL Forum, just done with the updates in the Dynasty Forum....for now.
