Ooh Intriguing! It would be a bitter pill to swallow but any deals that involve him would be worth a great ton of value & maybe better for the franchise....that's if any teams would go for an expiring contract. On the other hand you could just qualify an RFA tender, effectively locking him down to playing or sitting on his butt for a year.

If it's March 3rd, he'd have to be dealt at the Draft right?

Its actually deadline day so having to make a call. After him, the quality of my centers takes a total nose dive. I am looking at a move but wouldn't come anywhere close to replacing him.

I am leaning towards keeping him; I know no-one will trade for him at the draft but if I qualify him, right now he's wanting around $7.5M so, if someone offer sheets him, I have enough to match (though little left) or I take their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for that season (also severely limits who can take him since it has to be their draft picks). I'm more than happy to let him sit or let him change his mind.

This said, I've seen players change their mind after the season is over.
