Re: RISE UP: A NHL 20 Ottawa Senators BAGM
In my current playthrough, Nilsson is doing better. He got picked up by the expansion team Seattle Grizzlies, and is the backup. In 17 games, he's 5-9-3, with 2 shutouts and a .892 Save % and 2.98 GAA (he has better stats than their starter albeit in a smaller size).
Ottawa's backup now is Marcus Hogberg (14 games, 6-5-0, 1 SO, .913 Save%, 2.82 GAA)Comment

AVS EDGE OUT SENS IN TIGHT GAME
November 14th, 2021
The Senators started a three game road trip, with a stop in Colorado, to take on Nathan MacKinnon and the red hot Avalanche.
After Colorado opened the scoring, the Sens were able to score the equalizer midway through the second period. Bobby Ryan would take a feed from White and snap a quick shot five hole on Grubauer, for his 4th goal of the season.
The score would remain tied until late in the third period. With less then a minute remaining, Nazem Kadri attempting a dump in, puts a shot on net, which handcuffs Anderson and squeaks by into the net.
Nazem Kadri notched the game winner with 0:42 seconds left in the third, as the Avs down the Sens 2-1.SENS -

Yeah he's their number 1, I'm only in my first season with my playthrough. I forget most of his stats off my head, although I do recall he also has a .913 save % and I know he has more wins than losses, I just forget numbers hahaComment

SENS GET ROLLED IN TRIP TO COWTOWN
November 16th, 2021
The Sens continued their Western Conference Road Trip with a stop at the Saddledome in Calgary. A place where the Senators have always seemed to struggle. With an all time record of 14-6-1 in favor of the Flames.
Things didn't get off to a good start, as less then 5 minutes into the first Tkachuk would get sent off for Boarding Sam Bennett with a late hit to the numbers. While killing off the Major Penalty, a Tripping Penalty set up a 5 on 3 for a full 2 minutes. During which time, the Flames would score three goals. That really set the tone for the rest of the game.
Both teams would go to the dressing room after one, with the Flames up 5-1. Calgary didn't let up as they would tack on two more goals in the second. The Sens did manage to get two more goals in garbage time, but it would be a long flight back East.
Multiple Flames players registered three points, including:
J.Gaudreau 2g, 1a
S.Monahan 0g,3a
S.Bennett 2g,2a
Sean Monahan celebrates with his benchmates after a Sam Bennett goal. Monahan assisted on both of Bennett's goals and added another on a Brodie goal as the Flames down the Sens 7-3.Last edited by SENS_AK27; 08-20-2020, 07:26 PM.SENS -

And do you play every game? I generally sim some, play some, and that's what I know most here to do. But do you actually play Every game usually?Comment

I have been known to get impatient and Sim though. I think my depth just isn't that great this year and I may as well tank.

I'll play most of my games, but sometimes I'll switch my controller off and let the game run CPU vs CPU (more realistic gameplay), while I clean or do other chores.

The New York Rangers still riding Henrik Lundqvist built up an early two goal lead scoring 90 seconds apart in the First Period. Adding another goal in the Second and Third Period.

SENS HOLD OFF LATE RALLY FROM BLACKHAWKS
December 5th, 2021
In the second game of a back to back home stand, the Senators found themselves taking on the Chicago Blackhawks.
Ottawa forwards Chris Tierney and Bobby Ryan scored in the First Period to put the Sens up early, but the Blackhawks managed to battle back with goals from Drake Caggiula and Matthew Highmore.
Chicago's penalty killers also had a solid night. Ottawa went 0 for 3 with the man advantage and has not scored a power-play goal in 4 games. The Blackhawks have killed off the past 14 power plays dating back to mid November.
Playing less than 24 hours after a 4-1 loss yesterday to the Rangers, Anderson was under attack from the outset, especially after the Senators took a 2-0 lead on Ryan's unexpected goal. Ryan threw a shot on net from below the goal line and got a fortunate deflection when Crawford attempted to redirect the puck with his head, but instead sent it into his net.
The veteran netminder for Ottawa, stopped 38 of 40 shots thrown on net and was a big reason why his team was able to come away with the win.
Nik Kronwall broke the deadlock at the 5 minute mark of the third period when he sent a heavy shot through traffic that just squeaked by Crawford, who tried to contain it. A penalty called on Kane in the dying minutes of the game halted any attempt for a comeback, as the Senators where able to maintain control of the puck and apply pressure in the offensive zone.
Bobby Ryan registered his first multipoint game of the season (a drought that dates back to the 2018/19 season) scoring a goal and adding an assist, as the Senators down the Blackhawks 3-2.SENS -
