    Week 14: @ Czechia

In a very defensive battle, Manitoba was able to grease 2 goals past Czechia on 10 shots through 2 periods. After Simek scored for Czechia to make it 2-1, Pasternak hit the post with 12 seconds left in the game, as Manitoba barely gets out with a 2-1 victory.

    Other Week 14 Scores:

Vasilevskiy made 30 saves as Russia beats Canada 3-2.

Hughes scores 5 goals in an 8-2 blowout of Great Britain

    Standings:

    Playoff Picture:

    In the Hunt:

There is a potential for the top 4 teams to clinch a playoff spot next week, as the magic number for points to make playoffs could drop to 39 PTS

Well the good news is you have a fairly easy path to the Semi Finals, the bad news is you'll most likely have to beat Canada to get to the Finals.

I don’t know, Russia would be a tough test in the QF. I figure first round will be the only “easy” game.

          Week 15: vs France

          Other Week 15 Scores:

Canada beats rival USA 4-1 off Jarry’s 35 save performance

Despite Japan’s 13 shot 3rd period, Norway was able to hang on 1-0, giving Japan their 15th straight regulation loss.

          Standings:

USA, Canada, Russia, and Sweden all clinched a playoff spot this week

          Playoff Picture:

          In the Hunt:

Finland, Manitoba, and Germany all on the verge of clinching a playoff spot, with the magic number at 38pts, possibly going as low as 35pts next week.

            Week 16: @ Japan

Toews scores 2 in the first period, Howden scores a beauty on the PP in the second period, as Manitoba defeats winless Japan, 5-1. A late goal by Japan in the third period ruins Reimer’s shutout bid

            Other Week 16 Scores:

Ylonen’s 43 save effort shuts out Slovakia 1-0.

Point scores the only goal, in OT, as Canada sneaks by Switzerland in a goalie duel, 1-0

            Standings:

Finland, Manitoba, and Germany clinch a playoff spot this week.

            Playoff Picture:

            In the Hunt:

Japan is in danger of becoming the first team eliminated from playoffs, with a regulation loss and any points from Korea sealing their fate.

Meanwhile, Switzerland, with 33PTS, can clinch a playoff spot next week, with the magic number at 36PTS, and potentially dropping to 33PTS

              Week 17: vs Norway

After 2 periods of back to back scoring, Manitoba finally pulls away in the 3rd period, to outlast Norway 5-3.

Fox scores the only as USA wins 1-0 in a goaltending battle.

Ukraine comes back from 2-0 to defeat Latvia 3-2, Ukraine’s first regulation win of the year.

              Standings:

Switzerland clinched a playoff spot this week, while Japan holds off elimination for another week.

              Playoff Picture:

              In the Hunt:

Japan is just barely hanging on, seems like just delaying the inevitability of elimination.

Meanwhile, Slovakia can clinch next week with a regulation win and a regulation loss by Great Britain. The magic number is 35PTS, possibly dropping down to 32PTS
