Agbonlahor's nice dribbling forced Coutadeur to take him down in the box, but Matteo was unable to take advantage from the spot.

Damn. He had his chance to step up and be the hero, from only a few yards away - instead, he blew it. I suppose he has carried the team since day one - so we should take it easy on Matteo, but the momentum factor hurts because Manchester United is up next in the Quarterfinals of the Premiership Cup. Pick it up son!

Re: Something in the Making: Lam Matteo (PES 2009)
Frustratingly stupid. Matteo didn't play the worst match in his life, but not even close to his best effort. He had chances to score and hit shots on target - but the saves by Gomes were fairly routine. Often times the striker tried to dribble past the United defense, but ended up losing the ball or taking a mistep. The defensive line was all the way to the half, so through balls were almost out of the question. Just a frustrating match.

Strong showing. Fulham's star came through once more after an embarrassing loss last week against the giants of Man United. "All about momentum I suppose," he said after the Everton match, "We are going to need a whole lot of it come next Sunday in front of our fans."

Re: Something in the Making: Lam Matteo (PES 2009)
Take me out, Coach. When you are the top scorer on the team, and your team needs so many goals - why would you not be placed in the starting lineup? Roy Hodgson messed up here and placed Matteo on the subs bench, up until the 63rd minute when the team was already down 4-0. "I'd rather not be put in to be honest," stated Matteo after the match, "That was embarrassing. One of those memories connected with this football club that I'm going to erase immediately."

Resilient Attack, but solid defending. Matteo's play on the field was overshadowed by the incredible defending by Hull City. Fulham were all out attack the entire match - but were unable to get the goal needed to spark some confidence after last week's debacle in the Premiership Cup. Despite the draw, Matteo said he was fairly satisfied with the way he passed the ball around the pitch today - big whoop, maybe he should find another position then.
