    DECISIONS
    Three believers in Matteo's comeback

By Johnson Peoples (Editor) - 2:15 pm (6/5/2016)

What say you nay-sayers of a comeback? Oh, that's right - "He'll never walk again", or "He will never make it back to football..."
    - HA!!

Matteo has received three (3) offers from some well stood teams of the Coca Cola Championship One.

The first, Preston North End, a club located in Lancashire. Two years champions of the First Division (and several times runner up)
, the club possesses mainly local talent and has offered Matteo a spot on the bench with 150 P.

The second, Swansea City, a club located in Wales, has a rich tradition and incredible history of top notch football. With trials of
up and down (similar to Matteo), Swansea City FC understand where Matteo is coming from the most, and are offering 150 P.

Lastly, Sheffield United - nicknamed "The Blades" - is a club located in South Yorkshire. The club hosts the oldest known
football ground in all the world, Brammal Lane. The club is also offering Matteo 150 P - but are the only ones who have stated
they intend to start him right away.

So those are the choices, Matteo has informed me that he plans on making a decision "very soon". If it were me, I would go with
Sheffield United just because they have stated how eager they are for Matteo to suit up and play. I think if he plans on getting
back to the Premiership - this would be the way.

Eitherway, joyous all around - the minute he touches the field, I'll be squealing with joy like a little girl.

      SWANSEA-BOUND!
      Matteo inks with Welsh club

By Johnson Peoples (Editor) - 10:29 am (6/25/2016)

Here we are again, a great moment in the history of Lam Matteo's footballing career. This morning, Matteo met with the club,
and came out with the no. 11 jersey in hand.

"I am a man without words," says the American, "This moment is more important to me than any moment in my life."

Matteo signed a 2-year contract with the club, worth 150 P. Manager Paulo Sousa, who has been in charge since 2009, felt the
investment of Matteo was not only "iconic", but could actually help the team's morale after a dismal 2015 season.

"It is with great confidence that Matteo join the club. He has been through the most adversity - and I am more than just a manager
of this player, I am a fan for what he represents."

Matteo is not expected to start right away, but factors could change in the next month. Swansea City open their 2016 campaign
against Bristol City on the 1st of August.

        IT'S GO TIME
After three months on the reserves, Matteo suits up

By Johnson Peoples (Editor) - 10:29 am (10/30/2016)

        Well, it's about damn time.

Manager Paulo Sousa finally gave in and decided that he will not be winning any Championships (or fans) if he continues to keep the
hungry striker that is Lam Matteo at bay.

"He (Matteo) has had a great stint of form as of late. I hope he will be the goal scoring threat Swansea are in desperate need of."

The need for goals is always a priority, but Matteo's maturity has brought the American striker into a more supportive role in Sousa's
        4-5-1 as a midfielder.

"Yeah, it's a new thing for me," says Matteo, "But I want to play - so I will play anywhere".

Matteo will be placed on the bench for the upcoming match this Saturday against 11th place Barnsley.

          Fixture 13 - (Nov. 5, 2016)
          Barnsley v Swansea City

Swansea City midfielder Lam Matteo celebrates as soon as the ball bulges the
back of the net for his debut goal.

          Prematch: Barnsley (11th, 15pts) - Swansea City (8th, 16pts)
Both sides come into the match expecting to gain all 3 points from one another. Barnsley have been off key as of late with only 2 points
in the last 4 matches, while Swansea City have had a scoring drought despite Lee Trundle's best effort to adapt to manager Paulo Sousa
          4-5-1 system.

          Halftime: Barnsley 2-3 Swansea City
For a team unable to find the back of the net, Swansea City have located some much needed fire power through Lee Trundle's strikes,
along with a cool finish by Nathan Dyer. On the other side was Iain Hume for the home team, notching two goals of his own - and
          constantly looking to score.

          Fulltime: Barnsley 4-4 Swansea City
Lam Matteo's strike in the 58th minute was the goal that drew the game, and each side for a point a piece. The midfielder scored on his
debut for Swansea City, and almost found another if not for a good save by Luke Steele of Barnsley. Steele was there again to stop a
sure match winner when substitute Thomas Butler wriggled free, but the left footed shot was pushed away by Steele.

          Barnsley Goals: Hume 13,33 - Colace 47 - Macken 53
          Swansea City Goals: Trundle 19, 24 - Dyer 21 - Matteo 58

          Caution: Tate (Swansea), Hume (Barnsley)
          Sent off: None

                  Fixture 14 - (Nov. 12, 2016)
                  Swansea City v Nottingham Forest

Matteo was the shining light for the Swans tonight.

                  Prematch: Swansea City (8th, 17pts) - Nottingham Forest (12th, 14pts)
Swansea were relieved to come away with a point last week against Barnsley, and are looking to go into tonight's match with a full 3 point
showing. Ex-Fulham player, Lam Matteo scored his debut last week, and it will be no surprise if manager, Paulo Sousa chooses to place the
American into the midfield during the second half.

Halftime: Swansea City 0-1 Nottingham Forest
Paul Anderson took advantage of some shoddy defending by Swansea, after the initial shot by McGoldrick was saved by De Vries. Lam Matteo
has been given the signal to come on for underperforming Joe Allen.

Fulltime: Swansea City 2-1 Nottingham Forest
The man of the hour, the "Wonder-man" as he is being dubbed in Swansea, saves the day for the Swans, as the midfielder comes into the
second half and does nothing but score two magnificent goals.

                  Swansea City Goals: Matteo 59,69
                  Nottingham Forest Goals: Anderson 45

                  Caution: Fairclough (Forest), McKenna (Forest)

                      Fixture 15 - (Nov. 19, 2016)
                      Reading v Swansea City

Matejovsky's second half goal was enough to push Reading past Swansea.

                      Prematch: Reading (8th, 21pts) - Swansea City (9th, 20pts)
Rainy conditions for the first time this season. It should not make a difference to either side. Swansea are coming to "hostile" environment,
but have been stealing points well thanks to Lam Matteo - who is on the bench again today, but will surely see some action in the second half
considering his man of the match brilliance last week in Swansea.

                      Halftime: Reading 1-0 Swansea City
A beautiful play down the right side of Swansea, and Reading found the go ahead goal thanks to Noel Hunt who's diving header left De Vries
helpless. Swansea are not looking attack minded today - Lam Matteo is expected to change that in the second half surely.

                      Fulltime: Reading 2-1 Swansea City
Free flowing football eclipsed in this match, and despite a goal by Lee Trundle (Matteo assist), the Swans fell just short thanks to
                      Marek Matejovsky's 46-th minute goal.

                      Reading Goals: Hunt 42 - Matejovsky 46
                      Swansea City Goals: Trundle 65

                        Fixture 16 - (Nov. 26, 2016)
                        Swansea City v Sheffield Wednesday

                        Prematch: Swansea City (11th, 20pts) – Sheffield Wednesday (16th, 16pts)
Sheffield Wednesday are coming off of a full three points in their win against Bristol City, while Swansea struggled defensively, giving up
an early second half goal last week to Reading – which turned out to be the match winner. Manager Paulo Sousa has given super-sub
Lam Matteo a chance in the attacking fold as the attacking midfielder in the 4-5-1 formation. With 3 goals and an assist to his name
through 3 games, he will certainly be a threat to the Wednesday goal.

Halftime: Swansea City 1-0 Sheffield Wednesday
It was a great setup by Angel Rangel on the right flank to striker Stephen Dobble. Dobble's header flew into Lee Grant's upper right hand
corner to put the homeside up 1-0 in the 10th minute. Wednesday did not seem to have their attacking mindset checked, as only 1
shot was absorbed in the first half.

Fulltime: Swansea City 1-0 Shefield Wednesday
A cagy affair ends with Swansea winning 1-0. The three points were badly needed after last week's loss to Reading - and the boys
                        delievered today.

                        Swansea City Goals: Dobble 10

Tate and Swansea players celebrate in the 87th minute.

                          Prematch: Swansea City (10th, 23pts) – Middlesbrough (4th, 27pts)
Middlesbrough have been on a tear as of late, and coming into town today they will be looking to continue that form against the home
side, Swansea. The pairing of Lam Matteo and Lee Trundle stagged up front only produced one goal against Sheffield Wednesday last
week, but Dorus De Vries has been making some wonder saves when needed.

                          Halftime: Swansea City 0-0 Middlesbrough
A defensive battle, neither team wants to give up any chances - and with only 2 shots on goal each, it is looking to be a stale mate.

                          Fulltime: Swansea City 2-1 Middlesbrough
Well we have just witnessed an incredible match tonight. Swansea winning it in the dying minutes of the second half thanks to a superb
header by defender Alan Tate on the corner. All three points come home tonight, Paulo Sousa looks like a genius overthrowing Boro!

                              Prematch: Newcastle United (1st, 36pts) – Swansea City (8th, 26pts)
Newcastle top the league with most goals scored (35) and least goals conceded (12) through 17 matches. The brilliant keeping of Steve
Harper has been a theme at St. James this season, while Peter Lovenkrands and Marlon Harewood's partnership up front has proved to
be worthy of praise. Swansea's lack of depth is starting to show as Lam Matteo and left back Federico Bessone barely passed the
medical test before the match time. Swansea will be hoping to both players, along with their teammates, can sustain the Magpies
                              tonight.

Halftime: Newcastle United 0-0 Swansea City
Neither side has found the breakthrough, both sides seem to be feeling eachother out before striking on target. The clear cut chance
was at the head of Lovenkrands for Newcastle - but the shot glanced just above De Vries crossbar.

Fulltime: Newcastle United 0-0 Swansea City
A match that was built up to be a scorcher turned out to be a stale mate. The best chances fell to the Magpies, but the woodwork
saving De Vries and company twice. A point for each side, neither manager should complain - but certainly some group therapy is
needed to find some goals next week.

                                TRANSFER TIME?
January window open in one week

It's a question of whether or not Matteo will break the glass of the window or will he just peer through
                                .
Currently starting as an attacking midfielder for Swansea City, the 25-year old could consider any offers that might be thrown his way
                                - in particular those that do not require the "rehabilitating" body of his to play midfield.

I feel good about whatever move he makes. If a Premier League side comes calling - I think he should sprint out into their arms. If
another Championship side calls, I think he should do the same.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy his move to Swansea - but I'm not sure this is a long stint at all. Whether or not Matteo sees it that way
might not matter, I think he is going for the top - maybe play Uefa football before he turns 30.

In the meantime, sources have stated that Matteo's fatigue level is starting to rise and could possibly be on the bench for the final
match of the calendar year against QPR tomorrow.

If that's the case, I hope teams do not judge on how he played the last two games - but how he opened up his affair.
