    F1 06 (PS2)

I am going to do a thread about my career mode and World Championship on F1 06 PS2 because F1 09 is like watching paint dry (useless crash damage). This means I am first going to do a World Championship with Michael Schumacher and his Ferrari, so race 1 posts will be up shortly.

        IMPRESSIVE SCHUMACHER WINS BAHRAIN POLE
Michael Schumacher beat defending champion Fernando Alonso to pole position for the Bahrain Grand Prix. Even though he was fastest in every session he had a lively qualifying, with a particularly heated duel with brother Ralf, which saw him shoved into a wall. Michael commented "Bit of a smash, the car is all right though so I am happy". The big surprise of the session was Fisichella and Montoya going out in Q2.

              ALONSO CRUISES TO BAHRAIN WIN
Fernando Alonso won an eventful Bahrain Grand Prix as Michael Schumacher threw away the lead twice. On lap 1 the back of the grid was shaken up as Yuji Ide forced himself into the pits after hitting Tiago Monteiro, but he came out 21st after Jacques Villeneuve's engine caught fire. On lap 6 however, Schumacher spun and damaged the front wing, leaving him in 3rd. He came into the pits and came out 8 seconds behind Rubens Barrichello who was 2nd. David Coulthard caught fire leaving the pitlane and a lap later Jenson Button went the same way. Schumacher overtook Barrichello with 2 laps to go, and the Super Aguri's of Ide and Sato took each other out of the race. Schumacher overtook Alonso but span again, leaving him 3rd, but his front right tyre locked up and caused him to spin off again, letting his Ferrari teammate Massa take 3rd. Schumacher said "The only person to blame is me, and I will improve for Sepang".
Alonso celebrates as Barrichello enters in 2nd.

Schumacher and Alonso duel for first.

                        SCHUMACHER DRAMA IN MALAYSIA
Michael Schumacher will start 16th in the Malaysia Grand Prix because of an incident in Q1 that saw him knocked unconcious in an accident involving a wall and Tiago Monteiro. Schumacher went off, then skidded across the track into a wall, before reversing backwards into Tiago Monteiro's Midland. Montoya grabbed pole, but Schumacher was the massive shock.

SCHUMACHER IS A DNF AS RAIKKONEN STEAMS TO VICTORY
Michael Schumacher retired from the Malaysian Grand Prix on Lap 11 due to a mechanical failure, even though after (accidentally)taking out Vitantonio Liuzzi and pitting on Lap 2 after damaging aerodynamics. He fell 50 seconds behind the 20th placed driver but after 3 engine fires climbed to 17th and caught up the 2 Midlands and remaining Super Aguri, but crashed off and came into the pits and called it a day.
