Dana White reported via Twitter that he and the UFC have hired Jeremy M to be the new VP "in-waiting". Dana also stated that Jeremy was hired to help assist, the soon to be retiring, Joe Silva. "Joe has been with the company since basically Day One. However, Joe feels like he has done all he can for this organization so, now it's time to bring in some new blood."

MMA Live attempted to contact Jeremy soon after the news was released but, he was unable to comment.

Jeremy called into MMA Live today and left us this prepared statement. "I am extremely happy and proud to be apart of this World-class Organization. It will be tough taking the reigns from a Legend like Joe, who I consider to be one of the major reasons for the UFC's success. Personally, I believe he was a huge factor in contributing to the organization's status, after his history of making great matchups for the UFC. I have no doubt that I will continue on with his style of matching making and I pride myself in making competitive matchups that you (the fans) want to see."

Hello fans my name is Jeremy Marquiss and as you may of heard by now, I am now the VP "in waiting" until Joe Silva steps down. I'm very, very proud and ecstatic to be here working for the premier MMA organization. As part of my job I will come here from time to time and announce a number of things. Some of those things will include fight cards, injury's and newly signed and/or released fighter's. My only hope is to do half of the job that Joe did and make all of you entertained with the fights that I've put together.

Now with that being said.... Now on to my first order of business; which is to announce an unfortunate injury for the upcoming PPV. Rory MacDonald was injured during training and will be unable to preform in his bout against Carlos Condit. Carlos will be fighting but, it will be against James Wilks instead. Wilks was scheduled to Peter Sobotta however, Peter was injured in training as well so things worked out great for both fighters.

That concludes the messages for today. I will be back again soon to announce the fight card for UFC 115.

After a great PPV last night in Vancouver I'm now setting my sights on our next event which is the Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale. I'm currently in the process of checking the status of all the fighters who plan to be involved. The official fight card should be out with the next few days.

After the TUF 11 Finale Dana expressed that he was upset with Keith Jardine's poor performance. The loss was his fourth in a row and in two of those losses he didn't make it out of the first round.

Other notes from the night of fights:

Chris Leben looked great in his first round KO of Wilson Gouveia. He was as aggressive as we've seen him in a long, long time. Hopefully, this is a sign of some good things to come for him.

Fisher vs. Siver won Fight of the Night honors and Siver actually looked really good before getting caught in round 2. Fisher continues climbing his way up the LHW ladder. Look for him to get a top 10 LHW in his next bout.

What an exciting night of fights! The entire card was non stop action from stop to finish. And when the smokes was cleared we ended up with a new HW Champion. Congratulations Shane Carwin! It looks like all the hard work has finally paid off for this Mechanical Engineer.

Other notes:

Wandy looked like the Wandy of old tonight. We can't wait to see him back in action. Sexyama didn't look bad but, couldn't pull of the W against Wandy. It will be interesting to see who the match makers at the UFC decide to match these guys against next.

Both Bonner and Lytle look awesome tonight in their fights. Bonnar was able to avenge the a loss due to a cut that he had against Krzystof in their last fight and didn't take much damage in their second fight. Lytle took little to no damage in his demolishing of Matt Brown we look for him to fight again soon.

Lastly, many thought that George Sotiropoulos would be the next big thing in the LW division. However, he just couldn't get things going tonigh against Pellegrino. The win gives Pellegrino 5 straight victory's in the UFC. Look for Joe Silva and Jeremy to match him up against a top 10 LW in his next fight.

Hey, guys I just wanted to personally congradulate Shane Carwin on his big win! I also, wanted to annonce that his first title fight will be against Cain Velasquez . We have this bout tentivly scheduled for UFC 122 in January 2011.

Also, we are in the process of Finalizing FN 22 scheduled for August 1st. However, I did want to announce an injury for one of the fighters in the main event. Vladimir Matyushenko was injured during training so, Jason Brilz has agreed to step up and take on Jon Jones. The rest of the bouts will be known shortly.
