Re: 'My Imagination Becomes The Universe' ~ WWE2k14

As I mentioned before NXT will be CPU v CPU, with the CPU setting up the matches. I will be keeping track of the wins/losses and things like that and post the ratings from time to time. Please don't think that there is no point to NXT because you never know who from the WWF could get hurt or retire (hint).

    Code:
    Batista DEF. Cody Rhodes
Christian & Santino Marella DEF. Fandango & Cesaro
CM Punk DEF. Jack Swagger & Sheamus
        -Triple Threat Match-
    John Cena DEF. Ryback
Alberto Del Rio (C) DEF. Dolph Ziggler
        -Non-Title Match-
Interesting how the computer randomly generates Tag Teams, especially since only one of the participants' names ended in a consonant.

Unfortunately I left the ratings sheet at work (I needed something to look at while eating lunch) so I can't update them until tomorrow night. Also, we'll bring you the results from Main Event and Smackdown.

I probably won't play on Mondays due to watching the actual Raw on USA, but we'll see. If you haven't done so, check out the WWE Network it is awesome! All those PPVs and original programming, it's like going back 25 years and stepping into the ring with all of your favorite wrestlers!

Main Event comes to you tonight from the Bell Centre in Montreal Canada, which of course is the next logical destination after Raw was from California. As long as I can remember to look at where the show 'is' at the outset of each match I will update you, but a) I don't always remember and b) I'm fairly certain there's no rhyme or reason to the locales used.

The Bell Centre is a historical landmark in WWF history it was the site of Jerry Lawler's 2012 heart attack and more infamously, the site of the Montreal Screwjob which some say led the to the Attitude Era. In any event, I am glad that the King can still reign and that Vince screwed Bret because it ushered in what is (until this universe!) the best era in professional wrestling.

Mr. Perfect vs. JBL (CPU v CPU)
I've found a way to play this game more often and make my wife happy at the same time! I volunteered to fold the laundry while some of these matches were simming! I didn't realize how many socks I have that don't have a partner. The first match is an interpromotion match that sees JBL easily dispatch of Mr. Perfect.

      JBL wins via Pinfall

Ric Flair vs Randy Savage (CPU v 1P, the laundry can wait for a minute, trust me it's not going anywhere)
Fresh off his making Edge (me) submit to the Figure Four on Raw, Flair is back in action again on Main Event (normally wreslters will only have 1 match/week so I can get almost everyone a chance at added to their ratings, but I had an epiphany while I was watching the JBL match, maybe it was the Wisk.) Savage took control from the opening bell and didn't let up until he'd gotten the pinfall after his second Elbow off the top rope, Flair looked lost in this one and apparently someone in the back took notice, check out this Tweet....

I'm not sure how that will sit with the Nature Boy, we'll have to wait and see...

      Randy Savage wins via Pinfall

New Age Outlaws vs The Hardy Boyz (CPU v CPU, back to laundry)
The tag team picture is getting crowded, especially at the top. Several teams are hoping to earn a shot at the belts at Extreme Rules later this month. After several Swanton Bombs, Jeff Hardy made Road Dogg tap out to the Spine Line, not sure why didn't just pin him, maybe the Hardy's are trying to send a message. Well it was received because as the ref went to raise Matt and Jeff's hands in victory, the Outsiders run into the ring and attack them with the Tag Team belts.

The Hardy Boyz win via Submission

Owen Hart vs. Ricky Steamboat (CPU v CPU, I controlled Bret)
Bret Hart accompanied his brother to the ring for this bout. Although the history between the Harts and Steamboat is short, it is not lacking in intensity. Before the ref could ring the bell, Owen and Steamboat got nose to nose and started jawing at each other, when the ref turned to signal for the bell, Owen attempted to clothesline Steamboat, who ducked out of the way, which led to the ref being knocked out for a few minutes. Owen and Bret took this opportunity to attack Steamboat. Both Hart brothers kicked and punced the helpless Steamboat, until finally the ref came to and ejected Bret Hart from ringside. After that the match was pretty much one-sided, Steamboat was never able to recover from the double-team and Owen managed to get an easy 1..2..3. After the match ended (and I had nothing to do with this) out comes British Bulldog and he and Owen take turns beating on the defenseless Steamboat, whatever ill-will there was between these men only intensified.

      Owen Hart wins via Pinfall

And so ends the first episode of Main Event, I thought this was going to be a show of 'dark matches,' of gap-fillers. Wrong.

      Back soon...

Re: 'My Imagination Becomes The Universe' ~ WWE2k14

The first episode of Smackdown comes to you live from Verizon Center in Washington, DC. We are less than one week into this universe and already there are some heated rivalries building, some bad blood brewing, and anyone with a belt around their waist seems to be in everyone's crosshairs.

Eddie Guerrero vs. Sting (CPU v CPU)
Opening match is a marquee match-up of two World Heavyweight hopefuls as each try to establish their place in the pecking order. This was was over or so I thought when Eddie hit Sting with a Flying Elbow as he was splayed out on the announcer's table, I was wrong. Eddie celebrated a little too long and that allowed Sting to get back in to the ring and hit a Scorpion Death Drop and get the pin.

        Sting wins via Pinfall

Road Warriors vs The Outsiders (CPU v CPU)
This is a rematch of the Tag Tournament Finals held last week and let me assure you it was not short on action. Brutal offense by the Legion of Doom, Hall and Nash looked helpless at times, they would have a flash of offense and then nothing. Hawk hit Nash with a Hangman's Neckbreaker just as Animal speared Hall onto the mat outside the ring, 1...2....3, it looks like we have a frontrunner for The Outsiders opponents at Extreme Rules. And yes it was a Rush.

        Road Warriors win via PinFall

I've noticed that sometimes I type in the present tense and sometimes in the past when I'm writing about the same event, please forgive me Ellen I'm not an Ordained minister. Actually, that's true, but I'm also not an English professor so please have some patience.

Roddy Piper vs Sgt. Slaughter (CPU v CPU) Non-Title Match-up
Good thing for Slaughter it was non-title. After his defense on Raw of the European belt I'm sure he felt confident going into this one, I wanted to ask him how confident he was after Piper hit a PileDriver on him as he laid across the apparently repaired announcer's table (see Guerrero/Sting above). Slaughter managed to Stagger back to the ring, but it was over.
        Piper wins via Pinfall

Kane vs Chris Jericho (1P v CPU)
I got tired of watching all the action and I finished folding the laundry so I thought I'd pick up a controller and join in all the fun. I've played this game, and WWE13, and Here Comes The Pain, and WWF Attitude, all those games and I will say this to you now, this was one of the BEST matches that I've ever been a part of. First of all, I love Kane. I think he's a great wrestler and I absolutely love to control him in matches. He's like The Undertaker with a little HBK. The real life Kane, Glen Jacobs, is an interesting man himself. I mean he's a Rothbardian for Heaven's sake! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glen_Jacobs

Back to wrestling, this match nailed each ingredient for a perfect match. Finishers, submission, near countouts, reversals. It was terrific. Y2J speared Kane through the ringside barrier and the Big Red Machine barely made it back to the ring before he was counted out. Choke Slam, kick out, Walls of Jericho, rope break (I mean barely), Jericho pinned him again (and I mean it was a one shot deal with trying to stop the bar going across to kick out, if I missed it the match was over) and Kane kicked out again. Another Choke Slam from Kane finally ended this one, but it was close!

        Kane wins via PinFall

Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels vs Triple H Triple Threat Match (CPU, 1P, CPU)
I'm not very good at Triple Threat matches for whatever reason, I always end up losing, but I wanted to try my hand at this one because I needed it to go a certain way, I screwed it all to heck, but it worked out anyway.

Multiple sources have reported that Triple H is furious that he's not in the running to get a shot at the World Heavyweight belt. He was left out of both Battle Royals and lost the United States belt to Rick Rude. HHH demanded that he be allowed to prove that he should be a part of the discussion so (be careful what you wish for) Smackdown's GM added him to the Undertaker/HBK match and made it a Triple Threat match.

Triple H is going to have to eat some crow now and wait his turn, if he ever gets another chance. HBK and Undertaker have earned the right to be here and they weren't shy about letting Hunter now that he's going to have to PROVE he belongs. In the end it was a Tombstone Piledriver that ended this one.

        Undertaker wins via Pinfall (HHH)

Champion vs Champion Non-Title Match British Bulldog vs The Ultimate Warrior (CPU v CPU)

The World Heavyweight picture has already gotten less clear with the wins by Sting and Taker earlier tonight, but with Kane winning as well and the stong showing by HBK in the Triple Threat match, the British Bulldog should start worrying. Especially after an absolute beating delvered in this match by The Ultimate Warrior. Can the Warrior be on track to hold both belts? We'll have to wait and see what happens next week!

The Ultimate Warrior wins via PinFall

        Code:
        Lita DEF Torrie Wilson
        Aksana DEF Layla
        Nikki Bella DEF Summer Rae
        Natalya DEF Brie Bella
        AJ Lee DEF Kaitlyn
             -Submission (no jokes please) Match
Well that's it for the first week of action in the universe. I'm excited about how things went and hopeful that they stay as exciting in the weeks leading up to Extreme Rules. I am now going to get the ratings worksheet updated so I can have a better handle of who needs to wrestle who going forward.

I will not play tonight due to Raw being awesome, I hope - not a CM Punk fan, but the Main Event at WM30 needs a kick in the pants because right now I'm turning it off after Bray Wyatt beats John Cena.

        Take care!

          One note..
          F sharp

          kidding

Rivalries/feuds will skew the rating a little bit, but life isn't always fair. As I've said previously, I'm not going by ratings alone so it should be ok.

The ratings will be in place from month to month and will be updated after each PPV.

          Word.

REAL LIFE NOW - Ugh I fell for it again. I can't believe I fell for it. No way they would bring Punk back (I don't think he actually quit, I think they gave him some time off to build the story) in Chicago this far away from WM, it's too obvious and it would take too much away from what they've been building. I do think we will see a Triple H & Kane vs. Bryan and Punk match at WM30. Now that the Uso's have won the tag titles, we can forget about the teams for awhile, they won't be relevant again until next year around this time. Bray v Cena will lead to Cena and his 'knee injury,' and a break for him until SummerSlam. They still need to inject some life into the Orton/Batista match, I had originally thought they'd throw Punk in there, but that would be 3 heel-ish wrestlers in one match, although I think the crowd would overwhelmingly cheer for Punk. I ramble because every time the clock hits 11PM on Monday I grab another beer and get ready for some fireworks, only to be disappointed. I know that they have 50+ Raw shows a year and not every one of them can be legendary and they still need the PPVs to have the decisive moments, but you'd think after watching wrestling for 30+ years that I'd have a better handle on it. Sheesh.

            Back to The Universe tonight!

Raw #2 comes to you live from the AT&T Center in Shawn Michael's hometown of San Antonio, TX, unfortunately HBK won't be here tonight because I am a moron and didn't put two and two together until about 12 seconds ago when I was typing this.

This is the part of the month (not my time of the month) where I start to get a little freaked out, because I'm staring at this roster trying to put matches together so that the PPV is decent and I think to myself, "I'll never be able to do this!" Then I calm the 'f' down and realize a)it's just a video game and b)this time it's 50/50 creative/ratings, so if all else fails I have the ratings to fall back on. That being said over the next 2 weeks, 6 shows including tonight, we are going to get a clearer picture of who will be challenging for the belts at Extreme Rules.

**Just announced - all Championship belts will be on the line at Extreme Rules! Including...the NXT and The Divas Championships. When asked about the inclusion of NXT stars at the first WWF PPV Goldberg had this to say, "it's a joke, this is our world, they have their own little show that no one cares about. But I guess the brass decided they needed a match where everyone could leave their seats and take a piss break, I guess it's good for that."

The Outsiders vs. Million Dollar Corporation (CPU v CPU)
I had some things to do when I got home last night so I ran this one as I attempted to shorten my Honey-Do list. This match will also go a long way in helping sort of the Tag Team picture. 15 minutes later....and the match is still going. It finally comes to an end in one of those 'perfect storm,' moments. Nash had sent Bundy over the top rope and Nash took that opportunity to hit Andre with The Outsider's Edge (like that would actually happen, but it was cool to see) and got the pin. The Tag Team Champs are certainly showing they are willing to take on any/all takers.
              The Outsiders win via PinFall

Mr. Perfect vs Ricky Steamboat(CPU v CPU)
The computer set this one up and I was going to change it due to Steamboat's feud with The Hart Foundation, but decided against that because I wanted to see if any wrinkles popped up that might force me to change things. It actually solidifed Steamboat's position in that rivalry as he quickly took care of Mr. Perfect. When asked in the ring post match about it this is what he said, "you can put me up against anyone on the roster and I will take them out. I said it last week, I deserve to have a shot at the belt and I will get it."
              Ricky Steamboat wins via PinFall

Jake 'The Snake' Roberts vs Ric Flair (CPU v CPU)
I have to admit that the ongoing feud between Flair and JBL was something that came to me on the back porch as I was elbow deep into Bud Light last weekend, but I love the idea and where it's going.

Before the bell could even ring in this one, out comes JBL with a chair and takes a swing at Flair and instead hits Roberts. The ref unsure of what to do calls for a DQ due to the intereference as Flair goes to the aid of Roberts who eventually has to be restrained from going after JBL who sheepishly retreats to the back. His solace is short-lived as the GM of Raw announces that on this week's Main Event it will be Flair and Jake Roberts agaisnt JBL and a partner of his choosing.
Match ends in a Draw due to interference by JBL

That didn't quite work out as I anticipated. I set it up for me to act as JBL and interefere, which I did, unfortunately I did actually hit Roberts with the chair so I had to try to rectify that with a match to let Jake have his revenge (spoiler) to clear him out of the picture.

Bret Hart (C) vs Stone Cold(CPU v CPU) Non-Title Match
Another computer generated match-up, but one that could have implications on the WWF Championship (sometimes I forget it's WWF and not WWE, you may see both, sorry)picture. Talk about Stompin' A Mud Hole, Austin destroyed Hart in this one, finally getting him to submit to the Boston Crab.
              Stone Cold wins via Submission

Rick Rude vs The Rock (1P v CPU) Non-Title Match
I got tired of sitting around and watching all the action and decided to pick up the controller and get in on some of the fun, I should have ignored that feeling. I never do well in my first few matches after not playing ofr a day or two and I tend to think that the R2 button is broken or something because I can't suck this bad. We needed to get a clearer picture of who was going to challenge The Ravishing One for this US Title is a couple of weeks and we might be one step closer to doing just that. It took about 2 1/2 minutes for The Rock to win this one, not much of a match at all. I still think that R2 button is broken.
              The Rock wins via PinFall

              Goldberg vs. Edge(CPU v 1P)
Main event time here on Raw. Edge, to me, is one of those wrestlers that I didn't appreciate until he retired and he's fun to be in this game so here we go. Stupid R2 button.

I literally wrote a bunch of curse words in my notebook that I use to track this dynasty after this match. I get so frustrated not being able to win matches or generate any offense, just give me 1 reversal, ONE!!
              Goldberg wins via PinFall

As Goldberg is celebrating in the ring, here comes NXT star Brock Lesnar out from the crowd and cracks a lead pipe over the skull of Goldberg. I guess Brock didn't like what Goldberg had to say about the NXT roster not belonging in the WWF because he's here now.

I've got some ideas bouncing around about the unexpected (not really because I forgot to remove Lesnar as a Rival of Goldberg) appearence by Lesnar. We'll see how this will play out.

              Later....

CM Punk DEF. Alberto Del Rio
                	*non-title match
                John Cena DEF. Dolph Ziggler
As you may know I'm using a ratings system to determine who gets a shot at the belt, this is truer for NXT than it is for WWF because these are all CPU created match-ups. That being said, John Cena is hated by a lot of people who voted on WrestlingData.com and it really hurt his overall initial ratings and probably his feelings as well. So he has a long road to go before he gets a shot at the belt, but notching wins are definitely going to help him.

Re: 'My Imagination Becomes The Universe' ~ WWE2k14

Tonight's Main Event comes to you from Jobing.com Arena in Phoenix, AZ and as promised we being with a Tag Team match per Raw's GMdue to some intereference from JBL on the last episode of Raw.

JBL and Ted DiBiase vs Ric Flair and Jake 'The Snake' Roberts (CPU v 1P)
I didn't know who I could put into this match to tag with JBL, but I figured DiBiase was a good choice, they both play rich, arrogant know-it-alls as characters so it fits. I had to do something to get this match out of the way and end Robert's part in the feud so when Flair tagged in Roberts, I grabbed a chair and hit JBL with it. The match ended in a DQ, but that pays JBL back for his inadvertant chair shot on Monday.

"Alright, that's it, I've had it," it's the GM from Smackdown, he's here tonight! "Flair, JBL, you two are about the dumbest people in the world and for some reason I guess it's because of JBL's Twittering or Tweetering or whatever you call it, but I've had enough of these stupid chairshots. You want to settle it, fine with me, but we're going to do it my way....Extreme Rules, an "An I Quit Match." That should take the fight out of both of you." Well there you have it, the first official match for Extreme Rules.
Match ends in a DQ due to a chair shot by Jake Roberts

Eh, I guess that will work for this mini-feud. Now Flair and JBL can move on, somewhat before they face each other in 2 weeks at Extreme Rules, who knows maybe they'll be some more drama, something Ric Flair is/was never short on.

Randy Savage vs. Big John Studd(1P v CPU)
I figured it was time to get Big John in a match and for some unknown reason I decided to play as Savage. Somehow, I managed to MISS 3 Elbows from the top rope. Savage dominated the match, but each time he went for his finisher, Studd either moved out of the way or in the case of the final attempt grabbed the airborne Macho Man and locked him in a Bear Hug eventually making Savage submit. Holy crap.
Big John Studd wins via Submission

Harlem Heat vs. New Age Outlaws (CPU v CPU)
Another tag team match to get an idea who will be challenging The Outsiders, this should make things less complicated....or not.
                  Harlem Heat win via Pinfall

Mick Foley v Sgt Slaughter (CPU v CPU) Non-Title Match
Same thing for Foley as above for BJStudd.

                  Foley wins via Pinfall

After the match, Mick Foley graciously helps Sgt. Slaughter up and raises both their hands as a sign of respect.

I promise once I get the ratings sorted out after Smackdown and get a table going to figure out the Tag Team picture I will feel a lot better about this. I hope....

                    Toyota Center - Houston, TX

Someone gets picked on, they always do. Is it right? No. Is it fair? Does it happen anyway? Yes.

"Hunter, Hunter, Hunter," says the GM of Smackdown in an almost fed-up tone. "I don't know where to start with you, first you lose the US Title to Rude in the Elimination Chamber match, ok. Next you can't take care of business and lose a Triple Threat match to HBK and Undertaker, then you give an interview about how YOU should be the star of the show. About how YOU are the best on the roster. Apparently the only thing you're the best at is letting the ref get to 3 and slinking away like a whipped dog. You know what it's time to see if you can man up. I'm putting you in another Triple Threat match, right now, against another loud mouth in JBL and someone who's has actually proven he's worth getting some more recognition, Rowdy Roddy Piper. You win this we can talk, you lose...well, that kid Lesnar showed a ton of moxy the other night sneak attacking ole' Goldberg, now I'm not one to approve of that kind of behavior, but you ain't showed me nothing. Maybe it's time I call up my buddy the GM of NXT and talk about a trade. Get on to the ring, no theme song for you, the Game might just be over..."

Triple H vs. JBL vs. Roddy Piper Triple Threat Match (CPU v CPU v CPU)
I'm honestly not sure what the deal is with Triple H, I swear I'm not controlling him although it would appear that I am, but I'm not. He is dreadful and I'm afraid it's going to cost him. Another match, another no-show by The Game. Piper actually pins him and gets the win in this one. Afterwards, the camera cuts to the Smackdown's GM on his phone backstage, "yeah it's me..I was hoping you might be able to help me out with a problem I got...maybe we could work out a trade....tell me about this Lesnar kid."
                    Piper wins via PinFall (HHH)

The Road Warriors vs. The Hardy Boyz (CPU v CPU)
Tag team picture is as crowded as ever, these two teams haven't met so far. Let's add another layer of intrigue to this circus.
The Hardy Boyz win via PinFall

Undertaker vs. Chris Jericho (1P v CPU)
I won, I won, I won....barely. OMG, this was tough. Y2J is quick and not easy to pin. I had a match with him on last week's Smackdown using Kane and while this one wasn't as great of a match, it was filled with that much more drama. Back and forth, finisher, kick out, submission, rope-break. I finally managed to hit an Old School and a Tombstone to get the win.
                    Undertaker wins via PinFall

Shawn Michaels vs The Ultimate Warrior (CPU v CPU) Non-Title Match
I wanted this to be out of my hands because this may be leading to something pretty big. As you may know, the Ultimate Warrior is the Intercontinental Champion and just last week, he defeated the British Bulldog in a Champion V Champion match on the premiere of Smackdown. Well tonight he's set himself up to have possible have a re-match with Bulldog, this time for the belt at Extreme Rules. Warrior absolutely dominated HBK, who looked eager for this to be over. Could it be that the Warrior holds both the IC and the Heavyweight Championship belts in a few weeks?!?

                    Warrior wins via PinFall

Sting vs. Kane (CPU v 1P)
And here we go again, I'm seriously considering only taking control of wrestlers in under-card matches because I am terrible. My apologies to Kane, but Sting whupped me, bad.
Sting wins via a Massive Butt Kicking

British Bulldog (C) vs Eddie Guerrero (CPU v CPU) Non-Title
I think the Bulldog once won the award for Best Finishing move from PWI in the 1990's for his Running PowerSlam. Executed properly it's an awesome move, unless you're Eddie Guerrero.

                    Bulldog wins via PinFall

Week 2 is in the books. From here until Extreme Rules the matches are going to be based on ratings and W/L in order to book the best possible matches at Extreme Rules.

As I mentioned in my post earlier, I tend to feel lost, almost to the point of giving up because I look at all these names and doubt my ability to make this interesting and fun. With that in mind, I went back and 'polished' up my spreadsheets to make them easier to manipulate the data and also broken down by shows and by title chases. Much, much better now.

Re: 'My Imagination Becomes The Universe' ~ WWE2k14

Something occurred to me when I was looking over my notes to post this update. First of all it looks like I write with the pen shoved up my nose, I can barely read my own handwriting. To me it looks like, "Radg Whgairq bug tee ofh4nfg," when it actually should say, "Road Warriors show big time offense." I need to work on that. Secondly, yes I do have a spiral notebook that I use to keep track of everything which is all well and good, but I need to create a speadsheets on how many spreadsheets I have created, no I really need to create a spreadsheet where I can list all the matches by wrestler so I don't double up a match that is unnecessary because redundancy is the stupidest, dumbest, stupidest thing ever.

United Center - Chicago, IL - In the shadow of the Willis Tower, which WWF stars will stand tall.....that's so cheesy.

We are getting ever closer to the first PPV and things are beginning to take shape. As you've read, every belt will be on the line at Extreme Rules, including the NXT and Diva Championships, there's the 'I Quit' match between Flair and JBL as well as perhaps some other matches as yet to be announced....

                        Into the ring we go....

Jake 'The Snake' Roberts vs. Hulk Hogan (CPU v CPU)
I needed this to go a certain way so I dropped the skill level down to 'Easy' and you know what, I had to re-do this dumb match twice. I couldn't win, it was pathetic. Finally I said, 'screw it,' and let the computer run it for me while I wept like a small child. It worked out.

Hogan wins via Pinfall and grabs a microphone
'"You know what Hulkamaniacs, it's time that I got a shot at a title and here in the city of Chicago, the second city, Chi-town, I thought I'd let you know that at Extreme Rules I want my shot. I want the belt that represents pride and loyalty brother because that's what Hulkamania is all about." Hogan puts down the microphone and pulls out a Stars and Stripes bandana and replaces the Hulkamania one with it. "What'cha gonna do when Hulkamania grabs the US Title from Rick Rude and runs wild on you..."
**Please note that after the show it was announced that Rick Rude has indeed agreed to put up his US Title belt at Extreme Rules against Hulk Hogan**

The Hardy Boyz vs. Harlem Heat (CPU v CPU]
I needed to do one more run through of each team facing each other to determine who will wrestle the Outsiders. I re-read my earlier posts and noticed that I said that tag team matches would be on Main Event, I was mistaken about that, at least for now. Like the real WWE, my tag teams will ebb and flow. Right now there are in play, but guys like Nash, Hall, and Jeff Hardy are also singles wrestlers. Something else that I/we need to keep in mind. It's ok if some big names aren't on the PPVs, like in real life not everyone can wrestle every night otherwise the PPVs would be 17 hours long.

                        Where was I....oh yeah
                        Harlem Heat win via PinFall

Mick Foley vs. The Rock (CPU v CPU)
I don't like The Rock, I never have. Maybe it's because I was an Austin 3:16 guy, but everytime I hear that stupid, "If you smell..." I want to turn the TV off. I hate how they gave him Punk's title at Royal Rumble after a 400+ day reign. You can't do that, espcially with a part-time guy, but it is what it is.

This was a great match. The Rock went for the Rock Bottom, Foley reversed it into the Mandlible Claw. Rock was able to reach the ropes, forcing Foley to release the hold. The Rock was then able to successfully hit The People's Elbow and grab the win.
                        The Rock wins via PinFall

Mr. Perfect vs Edge (CPU v 1P)
Again, got tired of watching. I switched back to Normal for this match, that Easy thing really messed with my brain. Apparently Normal is sometimes harder than Hard, but then it just sounds like I'm whining which I am because (in a childlike voice) if I can't win then I quit.

I had to hit Mr. Perfect with 2, 2! Spears in order to get him to stay down for the 3-count. Tough, tough match.

                        Edge wins via PinFall

Goldberg vs. Stone Cold (CPU v 1P)
If the controllers didn't cost so much I would throw this thing so hard. As an Austin 3:!6 guy I can say this, Austin is not a very dynamic wreslter. He's tougher than a $2 steak, but his game is largely ground-based. And it I get one more RopeBreak, I'm going to lose my mind. Last year I turned Rope Break off because it cost me dearly. Not unlike this match. I don't know how I managed to get enough damage to store a Finisher, but I did. I nailed Goldberg with a Stunner, but he was too close to the ropes, Rope Break. Next thing I know I'm in the JackHammer and Austin has lost again. I'm really screwing up this guy's title run.

                        Goldberg wins via Pinfall

Bret Hart (C) vs. Randy Savage (CPU v CPU) Non-Title Match
I don't know if it is just me or not, but it seemed like last year's version of this game had moments in some matches where roll-ups kept getting reversed and it would be like this see-saw battle and one guy would roll up his opponent to a 2-count and it would be reversed for a 2-count and that would happen like 10 times in a row? Anyone? well that happened here except Bret Hart rolled up Savage for a 2-count, Savage reversed it and WON the match! Awesome!!

                        Randy Savage wins via PinFall

You know KISS has a lot of really bad songs. Their early stuff for the most part is great, but that Music From The Elder/Solo Albums through Carnival of Souls is pretty much dog poo. I mean they hit their marks with the power chords and some arena rock lyrics and some songs are great like Crazy, Crazy Nights, I Just Wanna, and Tears Are Falling, but then you've also got songs like No, No, No. Let's face it, Kiss is a touring band, they put out albums because they have to, it's part of their contract, but 95% of their live stuff comes from pre-1983. They don't have notebooks full of song ideas when they hit the studio, they have a blond on each arm and satsified looks on their faces. I say this to you as a Kiss fan, as a Deuce, Detroit Rock City, Cold Gin, Shout It Out Loud, even Psycho Circus fan. Sorry I had to get that out there, I'm listening to them while I'm typing this and I decided we would have 'Music Chat' for a moment.

It pains me to see what Gene is doing. I think the best farewell concert tour would be KISS from the Beginning. It starts out with some old classics and them in full-make-up, with blood, and fire, and smoldering guitars, then they show some kind of tribute thing while the band is backstage taking off their make-up, in come Eric Singer (Carr, RIP) and Bruce Kulick and they join Paul and Gene for some of the '80s classics. They they run a tribute again and they all go back and put on make up and then you've got Paul, Gene, Ace, Peter, ESinger, and Kulick on stage performing together, that would be legendary. I wouldn't worry about Vinnie Vincent or Mark St. John, they weren't as integral to the story of KISS. Sadly, that will never happen. They can't even decide who's playing at the Rock-N-Roll HOF so what's the solution? They aren't playing at all. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

WWF's Main Event is coming to you live this week from the Allstate Arena, just outside of Chicago where a couple of night's ago we saw a Raw for the ages! No rhyme or reason to the locations, but it's cool - we just go with the flow.

Ricky Steamboat vs. Owen Hart(CPU v CPU)
Steamboat has had his share of turmoil these past few weeks after basically calling Bret Hart a cheater. His dominating performance tonight over Owen Hart should be enough to at least get a shot at The Hitman's belt next week on Raw, shouldn't it? We will have to wait and see....
                            Steamboat wins via PinFall

Random computer match there, but I liked how it fit in with the storyline of Dragon v Hart, so I went with it. Great match from Steamboat's point of view. A match for next Monday's Raw has been announced - Bret Hart V Ricky Steamboat - non-title, but the Hart Foundation will not be allowed at ringside, if the Dragon wins that one I'd imagine the powers that be will be him a Title shot at Extreme Rules, stay tuned....

New Age Outlaws vs. The Outsiders(CPU v CPU)
Hmmm....no one team really wants to stand out as the #1 contender for these belts...
                            The Outsiders win via PinFall

Ted DiBiase vs. Bruno Samartino (CPU v CPU)
My initial fear was not having enough matches per week to have all the wrestlers be in action, now I'm running out of wrestlers to fill these matches. That's one reason why I'll be disbanding and reforming tag teams every now and then. Good, solid match between two mid-card guys, there's been some rumblings that Bruno wants to be seriously considered for a title run, he doesn't care which one, this should help.

                            Bruno wins via PinFall

The two competitors shake hands after the match, Bruno is a legend in this sport and DiBiase wanted to show his respect, of course I'm shocked that he didn't also kick him in the particulars, but I guess since he lost the match he'd show some restraint.

Big John Studd vs. JBL (CPU v CPU)
The 'true giant' of the WWF took no time in making JBL submit to the Bearhug. I guess JBL's mind was on Flair and their upcoming match. JBL has certainly opened a can of worms with his comments and it was Flair's turn to open a can of whoop-a** as he ran to the ring as Big John was celebrating and got in some kicks to a still recovering JBL. Studd, seing this, chased Flair from the ring. JBL managed to get to his feet, ready to fight Flair only to see Big John being his rescuer. What's going on there?!?!?.....
Big John Studd wins via Submission

                              Nashville, TN - Bridgestone Arena

We are closing in on Extreme Rules and things are getting...well...Extreme.

Roddy Piper vs. Sgt. Slaughter(CPU v CPU) Non-Title
I'm not sure how Piper's bagpipers would go with a George Strait song, but no one is on more a hot streak right now than Hot Rod. The GM Smackdown has told him that if he beats Slaughter tonight, he gets a European Title match at Extreme Rules, to which he replied, "real men wear kilts." Why not.

Piper will get his shot, he dominated Slaughter, again (see earlier note about keeping record of matches for easy reference).

Kane vs. Eddie Guerrero(1P v CPU)
Once more I chose to control the Big Red Machine, not sure why, but I always feel confident when I do, moreso than when I continuously lose as Steve Austin. I also bumped it back up to Hard because what good is a victory unless it's a real one. That was almost a rah-rah moment. Somehow, after 3 Choke Slams, I managed to keep Latino Heat down for the count. The problem with playing on Hard is that when your opponent kicks out they get this surge of power (not the Comeback kind) so you have to be wary and not try for anything too spectacular or you'll get pinned - see Stunner on Goldberg/RopeBreak/almost thrown controller segment above.
                              Kane wins via PinFall, finally

Million Dollar Corp v The Road Warriors (CPU V CPU)
More tag team action, I think this eliminated the MDC from the running for the belts. I may have Andre leave KKBundy and become a singles wrestler now, we'll see.
[i]Legion of Doom win via PinFall[i]

                              [b]Chris Jericho vs. Sting[/](CPU v CPU)
Match set based on ratings, nothing too fancy here, just a sweet Scorpion Death Drop to end it.
                              Sting wins via Pinfall

Ultimate Warrior vs Undertaker(CPU v CPU)
This was not an IC Title match, this was a ok if Warrior can beat Taker he gets his shot at Bulldog and the World Heavyweight Championship at Extreme Rules. I'll be darned...Looks like a Fatal 4-Way for the other Heavyweights on Smackdown's roster that night.

Warrior wins via Pinfall and gets a shot at the WH Championship

I seriously have no idea what's going on, but it's fun to watch!

Shawn Michaels vs British Bulldog (C) (1P v CPU) (Non-Title)
Now that it will be Warrior/Bulldog at ER I thought I'd have a go at this. It was going well until Owen Hart came out and apparently that's allowed in Nashville because the ref wasn't knocked out or anything and both Hart and Bulldog proceeded to take turns pummeling HBK (me). I lost, but it wasn't a fair fight.

Bulldog wins via being a big fat cheater pants

**Notice no Triple H tonight on the show. He arrived at the arena earlier in the day, but was told by security that he wasn't going to be allowed in, by orders of the Smackdown GM.

                              Code:
                              Mickie James DEF. Trish Stratus
                              Natalya DEF. Aksana
                              AJ Lee DEF. Lita
                              Brie Bella DEF. Summer Rae
                              Nikki Bella DEF. Kaitlyn
Technically not every belt will be on the line at Extreme Rules, Ultimate Warrior will not be putting up his Intercontinental Title against British Bulldog, but if Warrior were to become both WH and IC Champion there might be a IC Title Tournament...crap I bet I just jinxed it.

And the write-ups for next week's show will be quick, almost all the matches for Extreme Rules have been determined. Most of Smackdown is just one on one matches that have no bearing on the title pictures, but need to played because of the ratings. I will more than likely (I hate doing this, but I'm so jazzed about this PPV) going to just sim them. God forgive me.

Also, check out the other WWE2k14 dynasties in this forum including Gronk's http://www.operationsports.com/forum...e-dynasty.html, very cool stuff!

Ok, we had a bit of an ice storm here last night and was without power until a little bit ago.

This is a fun time of the month because we are soooo close to the first PPV that I can't stand it. This will be short, for the most part because I can't wait!

                                Indianapolis, IN

                                Mick Foley defeats Jake Roberts
The Oustiders defeat The Hardy Boyz
This loss pretty much eliminates the Hardys from the title picture at this point...
                                The Rock defeats Stone Cold
Ricky Steamboat defeats Bret Hart due to a DQ
Art does indeed imitate life. I set this match up because I needed an outcome on this that made sense for the next step in this feud. I chose to be Bret Hart and I wanted to lose this match (sounds backwards I know) but Dragon was KILLING me, I couldn't get anything going offensively so I did what was necessary. I managed to escape from the ring, grab a chair and whack Steamboat on the head. The ref called for the bell and Steamboat wins via DQ. It actually works out better because this adds a little violence to this already heated feud.
                                Randy Savage defeats Edge
Rick Rude defeats Ric Flair and Mr. Perfect in a Triple Threat Match[/b]

                                Batista d. Cody Rhodes
                                Fandango d. Christian
Cesaro & Jack Swagger d. Daniel Bryan & Santino Marella
Alberto Del Rio (C) d. John Cena (non-title match)
CM Punk d. Ryback and Dolph Zigger in a a Triple Threat match
-that win means that CM Punk will take on Del Rio for the NXT Title at Extreme Rules!!

                                Baltimore, MD

Bruno Samartino defeats Andre The Giant
                                Goldberg defeats Hulk Hogan
                                Ted DiBiase defeats JBL
Harlem Heat defeat The Road Warriors
--This win puts Harlem Heat in the title match vs. The Outsiders at Extreme Rules!

Big John Studd defeats Triple H
Shortly after the bell the GM of Smackdown steps out from backstage, "Hunter, you have left me with no choice. I've given you chances to prove that you belong here, chances for you to back up your claims to be the best on the roster. And what have you done? Nothing. Well, let me introduce you to someone..."
****Brock Lesnar's music hits and out walks The Beast Incarnate!!!
"Hunter, this is Brock. Brock...Hunter. Now that we all know each other, I've got a deal for you Triple H. At Extreme Rules you are going to have Best 2 Out of 3 Falls Match Against Lesnar in a Promotion/Relegation Match (I love Premier League soccer). That means if you lose you are demoted to NXT. If you win, which by the looks of Lesnar here and your track record won't be something I'll be wagering on, you stay, but you start at the bottom. Simple. See at Sunday."
                                Eddie Guerrero defeats Chris Jericho
                                Kane defeats Shawn Michaels
                                Undertaker defeats Owen Hart
Million Dollar Corporation defeat New Age Outlaws
Sting defeats British Bulldog (c) Non-Title

                                Chyna defeats Trish Stratus
                                Aksana defeats Natalya
AJ Lee defeats Lita (putting AJ in a title match vs. Velvey Sky)
                                Brie Bella defeats Summer Rae
                                Velvet Sky defeats Nikki Bella

Truth be told I simmed 90% of those matches just to get to the PPV, which I'm hoping to run tonight and write-up tomorrow. I know that the game has some limitations on the number of matches, but we're using the Universe as a piece of the machine, not the machine itself. I control the rankings and the matches so if we have to run some 'dark matches' in exhibition mode then that's what we'll do. Right now there will be 10 matches for Extreme Rules and every title with the exception of The Ultimate Warrior's IC title will be on the line!

                                Rules for PPV matches are:
Blood is on, because it's cool (sometimes)
                                All matches set to Epic
All matches are played out, I will NOT participate in any title matches (this time)

                                Come back soon!!
