Welcome to the SGDN!
SGDN stands for Sports Gaming Dynasty Network. Starting March 11th, 2014, when Twitch streaming starts on Xbox One, I will be broadcasting my dynasties. But I do not want SGDN to be all about me. I want others to join me. Where we can broadcast our dynasties under one flag.
About SGDN: I love offline dynasties. They are my favorite aspect of sports games. My issue is, I do not like to do all the write-ups for my dynasties. I eventually get overwhelmed and stop the dynasty. When I heard about Twitch streaming for XB1, I thought it was perfect for guys like me to share my dynasties with the community. That is where the idea came from and here is the first step into making an idea come true. I love the idea of having a broadcast view of a dynasty, like it is the team's TV network covering the goings on with the team.
How will it work?
Well the basic stream will be like any twitch stream but an offline dynasty. My goal for the network is to team with a few dedicated hardcore dynasty players and broadcast under the same network. I want to organize broadcasting schedules and archive link posts for people who miss a broadcast.
How many dynasties can 1 user broadcast with SGDN?
I would like it to be 1 dynasty per game. Personally I have FIFA, NBA 2k14 and Madden 25 dynasties I am going to start. Having more than one per game could get messy.
What times will you stream?
I personally will be having late night streams during the week. I work until 10pm pacific time. On the weekends I will have more viewer friendly day time broadcasts, TBD. All broadcasts will be archived and the video links will be posted in this thread. Also when a stream goes live a link will be posted to the stream, like a normal update thread.
How long will a stream be?
I am going to say anywhere from 30 min to 90 min. With FIFA you can play some quick games and go through a week of games within the hour or a month pending on your team's schedule. While Madden games can take an hour and NBA 2k depends on the quarter length. For me personally I am aiming for 60-90 minute broadcast. Per update.
How can I join?
Send me a PM, with your gamertag, what games you want to stream and the time and days you want to stream. I will have a viewer's guide post and we will update that page with all the current dynasties we are streaming as a network. I have already created how we will display an official SGDN broadcast through a stream title. Those details will be in the PM.
