Re: Starting From the Bottom | Leyton Orient

Another more in-depth update coming tonight, but I've been getting killed with injuries to midfielders, and have yet to win a game that I'm actually playing and not simulating (LOL). I've either drawn or lost every game I've played...

...with the exception of the Capital One Cup game vs West Ham. Go figure...

What a tough match that was against Dag & Red. You made one bad touch, and bam, back to score off the cross.

Really enjoying this, sorry had to catch up, because you also like to show the sequence of play versus just shots on goal or goals only - makes me really get into it. Glad that style is catching on!

Thanks for following. Means a lot.

Yeah I used to just post the "match highlights", and while they look really cool--they really don't "show" the action very well so I've started editing videos of the games. Still a long way to go but I'm glad people think they're halfway decent lol

ORIENT DROP 2ND STRAIGHT TO LUTON TOWN

EAST LONDON -- An injury ravaged Leyton Orient dropped their 2nd straight league game, this time to Luton Town, by 1 goal to nil. The Orient failed to score a goal for the first time this season, as they have been hit hard by the injury bug early on this season, particularly with their midfielders.

Needless to say, Hedges was less than enthused after the match..
"Listen we've hit a run of bad form. It's hard to gain chemistry on the pitch when we've constantly got guys at the physic. I'm not here to make excuses, we just have to continue to get better and I need to learn the players' style, and they need to learn mine. I have full confidence we will hit our stride soon--and when we do, I guarantee you we'll be a force to be reckoned with."

The O's turn their attention to Plymouth for another home match on Saturday, before their next Capital One Cup Tie, vs Championship side Wolves midweek.

While in League 2, for league games I am playing 1, simming 4. I'll play all FA Cup & Cap 1 Cup matches.

If/when promoted to League 1, I will play 1 and sim 3, etc.

I am eager to bring along some youth I am scouting, as the players I have now are mostly in their late 20's and not very good, lol...

ORIENT'S CAPITAL ONE CUP RUN ENDS VS WOLVES

EAST LONDON – Leyton Orient’s dream run in the Capital One Cup has come to an end at the hands of Woverhampton, by the score line of 1 goal to nil. Welsh international David Edwards scored the game’s only goal in the 82’ for Wolves, pushing them through to the quarterfinals, and a match with Premier League side Sunderland.

Conditions were less than favorable from Brisbane Road, and the rainy night saw Orient only fire 3 of their 15 shots on target. To make matters worse, the O's saw their starting striker, Jay Simpson have to leave the match early to a concussion--and is expected to be out 3 weeks. Good news on the injury front is that captain Kevin Nolan is expected back in the next 1-2 weeks and will provide not only leadership, but also some offensive fire power.
