-Jon Jones has regained the prize he never lost: the UFC Light-Heavyweight Championship. His repeated kicks to the body helped mix in head shots and take down the former champ Cormier. Jones will face the winner of Alexander Gustafson and Anthony Johnson later this year. Daniel Cormier has now lost twice to the current champ so it will be tough to justify him getting a third shot at Jones.
-Jones mentioned that he would like to face Johnson/Gustafson winner then possibly move to heavyweight next year. Jones would become an instant contender at the next step.
-Demetrious Johnson has been Flyweight champion for nearly 4 years and is the 2nd longest reigning champion in UFC history. Johnson will probably move to Bantamweight and challenge the winner of Cruz/Faber in his next fight.
-Uriah Hall really showed his worth to the UFC by stepping in on short notice and easily taking care of Robert Whittaker. The win should move him into the Top 10 and looking for a shot at the champ soon.
-While mentioning Anthony Pettis has solidified himself as the #1 contender in the Lightweight division. He will face the winner of Dos Anjos/Numagomedov, who fight in August.
