A-Brod's WWE 2K16 Universe Mode: The Return of the Randomizer

WWE 2K16: The Return of the Randomizer

    (My first randomized universe: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...erse-mode.html)

Cole: It is time for the second-ever WWE randomized roster draft, and we've got some changes to announce!

Lawler: That's right Cole, both Raw and SmackDown will get to choose two Superstars each, and then the randomizer will select the rest of the rosters.

Cole: The same GMs that ran the brands last year will retain their positions: Ric Flair for Raw and William Regal for SmackDown.

Lawler: Ric Flair and Raw get the first pick, and here they go!

    Raw: Seth Rollins
    SmackDown: Daniel Bryan
    Raw: John Cena
    SmackDown: Dolph Ziggler

Cole: Wow! Some bold picks by Regal along with Ric Flair going for all the star power he could get, and I can't blame him!

Lawler: And now it's time to see where the rest of the WWE roster will end up, including stars like Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, along with returning wrestlers Drew Galloway and CM Punk! I can't wait, Cole!

Cole: Well you don't have to, because the first selection is about to be made...Here we go!

    2. Jimmy Uso
    3. Apollo Crews

    60. Erick Rowan[/LIST]

Cole: And now it's time for the randomizer to choose who will be the inaugural title-holders on these shows; first, the United States Championship...Roman Reigns!

Lawler: Wow, the Big Dog defending the United States title, that'll be fun to watch! Now for the Intercontinental Championship...Big E Langston!

Cole: If Big E picks up momentum as the Intercontinental Champ, it'll be tough to stop this powerhouse. The Tag Team Titles will go to...AJ STYLES AND SAMOA JOE!

Lawler: If the WWE Universe wasn't excited about the tag team division before, they sure will be now! And finally, the major titles, starting with SmackDown's World Heavyweight Title...Brock Lesnar!

Cole: Wow, and with the stacked roster that William Regal has on his hands, Brock will face a huge challenge retaining his title, but if there's anyone on the roster that'd be up to the task, it's The Beast. Finally, the WWE Championship will be held by...Enzo Amore?

    *crowd goes wild*

Lawler: I can't believe it Cole! Enzo Amore will be Ric Flair's main champion!

Cole: That's right, but for how long? I guess we'll find out, starting with tomorrow's episode of Raw! Good night everybody.

I just played through the first night of Raw (recap up later tonight), and I did not get a single cutscene in the whole show. I am booking my own card entirely, and am not playing with any rivalries, so that might be why, but I thought cutscenes still popped up even with rivarlies off. If that's not true, that really sucks.

          Raw, April Week 1

Pre-Show Dark Match: Apollo Crews def. Colin Cassady

Cole: One day after the WWE Randomizer determined the rosters and title-holders for Raw and SmackDown, we are here for the inaugural episode of Raw to kick off WWE's new era! Welcome to Monday Night Raw!

Lawler: That's right Michael, and boy does Ric Flair have a show in store for us tonight! We'll see the monster Braun Strowman debut tonight, along with WWE Champion Enzo Amore's first test as champion, against the Viper, Randy Orton!

Cole: And you can't forget about tonight's main event: a Fatal 4-Way matchup for to determine the #1 Contender for Enzo's belt! We know that Seth Rollins will be a part of that matchup, and Flair will reveal the rest throughout the course of the night. But up first, it'll be the first matchup of this revamped tag team division!

Match 1: Kane & CM Punk def. JeriCold (Chris Jericho & Stone Cold)

An evenly-fought, exciting matchup to kickoff the show, and it ended with a GTS from the returning wrestler CM Punk to the legendary Steve Austin that clinched a win for Punk and Kane. Jericho and Punk's past rivalry played a part in the heat of this match, adding an extra layer of entertainment for the fans in attendance.

after commercial break, with Jack Swagger already in the ring, Braun Strowman's music hits

Cole: Here we go King! Standing at 6 feet, 8 inches, Braun Strowman is here!

Lawler: Wow, he makes even Swagger look small to him! I have a feeling this will be a one-sided contest!

Match 2: Braun Strowman def. Jack Swagger

Jerry Lawler was right, this one wasn't even close. Strowman pushed Swagger around as if he was Rey Myster- oh, sorry, I can't talk about him? Ok, I mean... Kalisto's height, and Swagger lost by submission once Strowman locked in the Bearhug.

After the match, Strowman stood in the ring with a microphone, appearing to be preparing to cut a promo, but instead he dropped the mic in the ring and walked out. Swagger was laid out in the middle of the ring as this all happened.

Lawler: Well... that was strange. Strowman seems like a lost sheep without a leader for him to follow... Sure is sad that Bray Wyatt is on SmackDown, isn't it Michael? Seems like he would fit right into Bray's Wyatt Family.

Cole: That's true Jerry, but the Wyatt Family is no longer around, as the only teams that exist (as of right now) are the ones created by the randomizer! However, I bet there's someone like Bray that Strowman will ally with on the Raw roster too... But anyway, after the break, United States Champion Roman Reigns faces off against the Big Show in a non-title match!

Match 3: Roman Reigns def. Big Show

Reigns struggled against Big Show for the first few minutes of the match, but the tide began to turn for Roman once he landed the first of his signature Superman Punches. Finally, two consecutive Spears kept Big Show down for good.

Lawler: Y'know Michael, Roman was very impressive in his first match as the U.S. Champion. Sure, he may want a lot more than what the Randomizer has given him, but it seems that he'll be up to the task of defending his belt until he has an opportunity to upgrade to the WWE Title. That is, if Ric Flair ever hands him that opportunity.

Cole: Well, speaking of Ric Flair, he has announced that Kevin Owens will be the second competitor in tonight's main event, while the other two will be revealed when the match begins. Also, speaking of the WWE Title, the Champ is here! Enzo Amore faces Randy Orton, next on USA Network!

after the break, Enzo Amore's music hits, to a huge pop from the crowd

Lawler: The WWE Universe really loves their new champion, huh Michael?

Cole: No doubt about it King. But will this fan favorite be able to beat the Viper, Randy Orton? Honestly, I'm not so sure.

Match 4: Randy Orton def. Enzo Amore (non-title)

In a surprisingly fast-paced match (considering the usual pace of Randy Orton's matches), the Viper reigned supreme against the new champion. Enzo did kick out of Randy's first RKO, to the approval of the fans, but a second RKO was lights out for the champ. Enzo did have his high spots, however, and the match was in no way one-sided.

Cole: And finally, tonight's Main Event! It'll be Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, the Celtic Warrior, Sheamus and the Bulgarian Brute, Rusev! Which one of these four Superstars will be the WWE Championship's #1 Contender?

          Kevin Owens' music hits

Lawler: Well Michael, I guess we're about to find out!

Main Event: Sheamus def. Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Rusev

Seth Rollins, who began this match on top, became the punching bag of the match, taking two signature White Noise piledrivers from Sheamus along with two Pop-Up Powerbombs from Kevin Owens. After the second White Noise, Sheamus stole the victory and the #1 Contendership from Rusev and Owens, who were brawling outside the ring and did not even notice the pinfall. Even after the bell rung, the two continued to fight, leading to an announcement from GM Ric Flair as he was walking out to congratulate Sheamus.

Ric Flair: Alright, you two, break it up! There's obviously a reason for this brawl, and you two don't need to solve it tonight. Instead, you two will be fighting in a Falls Count Anywhere match at Extreme Rules this month where you can settle your differences! And as for you, Sheamus, next week there will be a Beat the Clock challenge between you and Enzo, and the winner determines the stipulation of your title match at the pay-per-view!

Sheamus: Well I guess I'll have all the time in the world, fella... since our "champ" probably won't even win his match!

Flair: Well good luck winning yours, Sheamus, since you will be going up against someone who you've struggled against in the past, "fella." You'll be facing none other than John Cena!

Cole: Well there you have it! A huge announcement for next Monday's Raw, where Sheamus will have to face John Cena! Who will Enzo have to face, and who will win the Beat the Clock challenge? Find out next Monday here on the USA Network! For Jerry "the King" Lawler, I'm Michael Cole, good night everyone.

What program/site you used to randomize? I might be wanting to do this myself

Thanks man, glad to hear you like it! All I did was went on random.org and randomized the roster of Superstars I'm using for this Universe, and then that was the draft order. Then, I randomized a few more times to select champions and other random tag teams

I went on reddit.com's r/WWEgames and asked a question about this, and it seems that this is true: there are no random cutscenes on user-booked matches. So either I will use 2K16's rivalry tool, or I'm gonna have to be really creative about what happens after matches. Either way, I'll make this Universe as entertaining as I can for you guys. If there's ever a wrestler that one of you guys wants to see either added to the Universe (if they aren't in it already) or pushed some more, just comment or PM me.
