WWF vs. WCW| The Great WAR

Hello everyone! Bard is back, as I have been away since December. I had THREE Universes I was very excited about, and then I moved. Long story short, I got stuck in a blizzard moving down to where I was moving to, and that extended our move two days. Then, it took about a month to get WiFi, and I had just been checking the forums on my phone. After all of that...I just was not in the mood to post for awhile, and now that I am finally feeling the desire again I am just too far removed from those Universes!

So...I will be posting a WWF vs. WCW Universe that is starting in the beginning of February 1997 as I thought the Royal Rumble is just a large task to get started with. So, the Royal Rumble for WWF will be posted next and WCW Souled Out will be posted as well then the actual shows of WWF and WCW will begin to be posted.

Thank you all that continue to read my Universes! I absolutely love doing them, but my life gets super weird at times and it takes me away from doing these! I will do my absolute best to keep on this one :-]

                Monday Night Raw
                Date: January 20, 1997
                Location: Montagne Center, Beaumont, Texas
                Attendance: 4,834
                Commentators: Vince McMahon, Jerry Lawler

Vince McMahon: Good evening everyone and welcome to Monday Night Raw! We have an action packed hour of wrestling for you all. Last night was another historic Pay-Per-View for the WWF as the Royal Rumble came and is now gone!

Jerry Lawler: I'm sorry, Vince. I have to go. Good ole' JR will be down to cover me, I need to confront Bret Hart!

Vince McMahon: I have no idea what happened there. Bret Hart DID throw out King last night in the Rumble, however. Speaking of the Rumble, we will see the winner of the match, Stone Cold Steve Austin taking on The Undertaker in our main event! Now here comes our new WWF Champion, Shawn Michaels!

                In-Ring Segment

Shawn Michaels: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! I am BACK as YOUR two time WWF Champion! Sycho Sid could not keep me down last night, and now Stone Cold Steve Austin will not be able to either! The Heartbreak Kid is here to stay your champion, and have a very, very lengthy run.

                *Bret Hart's music hits*

Bret Hart: Shut up! Last night I was screwed for the second *** **** TIME! I am SICK AND TIRED OF THIS CRAP! Vince, so help me if I do not get a shot at the WWF Championship I am out of here. You need me more than I need you, Vince!

Shawn Michaels: Hey...you came into MY ring, and are now talking to Vince over in the commentator desk? That is not how this reign is going to work. You want to fight? I will give you a fight when you deserve it. The referees did not see you throw Austin over the top rope last night, and you know what? You should be pissed at Owen more than anything. He tossed you over, and much less than Bulldog, it wasn't by accident.

Bret Hart: Shawn, I gave you your big moment last year when you won the championship from me. Now, move over. My time is not even close to being over! I have been screwed by you, by Austin, by the WWF, and by Vince McMahon himself. You know what? I QUIT!

*Stone Cold Steve Austin comes out*

Stone Cold: Bret Hart quit your *** **** whining you son of a bitch. Go back to Canada with that garbage, we don't want to hear it. You know what? I have been ripped off for six *** **** years and I have been screwed over again tonight by Gorilla Monsoon as I have to take on Undertaker tonight because Sid has a concussion, so Stone Cold has some bananas to stick somewhere in Gorilla.

*Vince McMahon now walks out on commentary just as JR is arriving to find Bret Hart*

                Tag Team Match

                - We take a break and come back with Faarooq stomping away and hitting a powerslam for two.
                - Off to a chinlock on Gunn followed by some stomping for two.

                Spoiler

                Backstage Segment

~ Here’s Vince with Commissioner Gorilla Monsoon.

Gorilla Monsoon: I cannot change the winner of the Royal Rumble, but Stone Cold is not getting the title match at WrestleMania easily. Instead at In Your House, there is going to be a four way No DQ match for the World Title match at Mania. The participants for this match will be: The Undertaker, Vader, Bret Hart, and Stone Cold Steve Austin! It was up to Owen Hart or Bret Hart which Hart was to be in this match, and as Owen is one half of the WWF Tag Team Champions, he willingly allowed Bret to be in this match.

Stone Cold Steve Austin: Well first off, you dumb son of a bitch, you can't have a fourway match with Bret walking out, now can yah? There is no instant replay in the WWF so you can't take away my title shot at Mania! What Vince!? You look even stupider than Monsoon you dum...

~ Bret Hart breaks the door and is beating the living hell out of Stone Cold! The two fight down the ramp, and Austin is taking control of this fight. Hard rights by Stone Cold, but Hart with a knee to the mid-section and rams Stone Cold into the steps! WWF employees are running down to get these two away from each other!

                Singles Match
                Undertaker vs. Steve Austin

                - Bret brawls with Undertaker during his entrance but Austin jumps Taker as Hart is taken away by the referees.
                - They head inside with Austin stomping away before having his head slammed into the mat.
                - Old School connects and Austin is in trouble in the corner.
                - Austin comes back with a neckbreaker and kicks Undertaker down during the situp.
                - Austin chokes away on the ropes and rams Taker face first into the buckle.
                - A clothesline gets two on Taker as Lawler screams at Austin to work on Taker’s injured ribs.
                - Instead it’s off to a chinlock as Lawler is now at ringside shouting about the ribs. Where did King come from? It has been JR on commentary all night.
                - Taker hits Austin low but Austin hits the Stunner out of nowhere for no cover.
                - We cut to the back where Vader and Bret are being pulled apart.
                - We take a break and come back with Austin pounding away on a downed Taker.
                - Austin goes up and gets crotched but finally listens to the King and goes after the ribs to maintain control.
                - Taker comes back with a clothesline but here’s Vader for the DQ.
                - Bret comes out as well and a long brawl ends the show, with King getting involved!

~ The nWo are on commentary and Eric is spewing out the welcoming of this new ERA!

We see a clip of the Steiners winning the titles at Souled Out due to Randy Anderson coming down when Nick Patrick is down to count the pin. He was in street clothes because Patrick was refereeing every match at the show.

Eric Bishoff: Randy Anderson get your *** out here!

Scott Hall: This is all nepotism! The Steiners luckily are not the WCW Tag Team Champions, but something needs to be done here about people who are not honest.

Eric Bishoff: Now, Mr. Anderson, why were you in the building at Souled Out?

Ryan Anderson: I was given the ticket as a gift by the promoter, and when I saw the referee down I felt like it was my duty to step in.

Eric Bishoff: Your duty? That's against company policy! You know what...

Ryan Anderson: Hey, hey, Eric...come on, man. I had cancer this year, I have had some lapses in judgement. I am sorry.

Eric Bishoff: You're sorry? Well, you're sorry *** can take yourself to the unemployment line because you are fired! Now, Steiners you took the belts at Souled Out even though the match was ruled a no contest. You better come out here and give the belts back to the champs, the Outsiders. Either do this or so be it, it will be a breach of contract.

~ The Steiners come out and throw down the championships.

Eric Bishoff: Oooooo. That'll be six weeks of pay. Later FREAKS!

Ad for Thursday Raw Thursday. We’ll get to that one soon.

~ Here’s Shawn for his interview.

Vince McMahon: Now Shawn, this Thursday on Raw Thursday it will be Shawn vs. Sid III. How is the Boyhood Dream doing?

Shawn Michaels: This isn;t a dream, but a reality Vince, and I will do whatever it takes to keep this championship against Sid. I lost it to him once, and that will never happenagain.

Vince McMahon: How are you feeling about this fourway match, and who would you like to face?

Shawn Michaels: Well, all of the potential challengers have a bad side and right now it is all about bringing the worst out of everyone.

Vince McMahon: Well, it brings out competition, wouldn't you say?

                    ~ Bret Hart comes out

Bret Hart: Shawn, do whatever you can to come out on top this Thursday, on Raw Thursday. I want it to be you and I at WrestleMania one more time. I want it SO BADLY that I will be there and watch your back against Sid to ensure nothing happens that shouldn't happen.

Undertaker: Hart. You have earned my respect after all of our wars. However, I am sick and tired of hearing about Bret Hart being screwed. If anyone has been screwed over the years it is me and it is time for the title to return to the Dark Side. That means it will be The Undertaker versus Shawn Michaels or Sycho Sid at WrestleMania. So, Shawn better give his soul to the Lord because his body belongs to the Undertaker.

Stone Cold Steve Austin: I'll fight whoever at WrestleMania. I am tough, and I have thrown you all over the top rope or kicked all of your asses before. Shawn you will be next at Mania as long as you take care of Sid this Thursday.

~ Vader makes an appearance, but he doesn't say a word. There is everyone staring at each other before we move on.

Mongo: Benoit, Flair just remember I have your backs any time you need. Would you all like to see me take the place against Jarrett tonight?

Ric Flair: * HUGE ovation* The Horsemen are reunited and Anderson is healing up. Sullivan, Benoit had to take over for Flair because Woman wore him out so you don’t want to take on the Crippler!

~ We get a clip from last week of the Steiners having their newly won titles stripped from them. We also see the Steiners beating the Faces of Fear.

                      - Back to Scott for a quick chinlock and it’s Rick time again.
                      - Stevie sends him into the ropes and the Side Kick gets two.
                      - Rick catches a leapfrog into kind of a powerslam and makes the tag to Scott.
                      - Stevie is legal and on the floor as Scott hits a butterfly suplex…..and the Faces of Fear and Public Enemy run in for the double DQ.

Kevin Sullivan: My strength comes from her and she came to pick me up when I was crumbling.

                      Singles Match
                      Diamond Dallas Page vs. Renegade

                      - Renegade powers him around to start so Page gives him the Diamond sign.
                      - He hits some elbows in the corner and Renegade hits a clothesline in the same place.
                      - Renegade goes up but gets crotched and the Cutter ends this quick.

                      Spoiler

~ The Outsiders stand on the ramp with pipes. Sting is watching from the crowd and Savage is as well, although on a different side of the arena. Page gets a chair and no one moves for about a minute.

                      - Konnan puts on some kind of strange submission where he sits on Benoit’s head and pulls on the legs.
                      - Benoit snaps and fires off some suplexes, setting up the superplex to put both guys down.
                      - Konnan comes back with his Powerdrop for two.
                      - Benoit hits a release German and calls for the Swan Dive but here’s Jackie for the DQ.

                      Spoiler

                      - Commercial Break -

                      Singles Match
                      Jeff Jarrett vs. Steve McMichael

                      - Debra doesn’t want the match to happen so Steve drags her to the ring.

                      - A dropkick puts Mongo on the floor and Debra won’t let him go back in and that’s a countout.

                      Spoiler

Roddy Piper: I am like a Rubic’s Cube. I'll never be Elvis but Hogan will never be Roddy Piper. I don't get why I should fight Hogan again because I already beat him once. It takes a man to be a father and it’s time for him to grow up.

~ Cue Hogan as Piper declines the title shot because he has nothing to prove.

~ Piper freaks out because his son is in there and asks Terry to let him go home. Hogan laughs at the idea that Piper is an icon and says he’s never been a world champion. Bischoff and Hogan make Piper say that Hogan beat him like a drum. Now tell the people that Hogan is the icon. Hogan says Piper is hiding behind a kid so Piper needs to get out of his sport. Piper starts walking away but Hogan slaps him in the back of the head and it’s on. He beats down Hogan with ease and takes the belt as Hogan/Bischoff scamper. Piper says okay to the match at SuperBrawl!
