Re: StlDucks career mode
The winter transfer window is now closed with four keepers being in the top 12 of most expensive moves. The Premier League "Big Six" were also active with only Manchester United not being involved in a big move.
Tottenham brought in Onana as the future Lloris replacement. The Spurs current captain has a contract expiring in 2022.
Arsenal signed Ruben Neves to eventually take over for Xhaka while letting youngster Martinelli go due to playing time. Arsenal previously let Serge Gnabry go to Germany and the move cost them, will this be another similar situation?
Newcastle surprised everyone with a big money move for Renato Sanches. The midfielder only came with a release clause put into his contract but the Magpies hope to convince him to stay long-term and help lead them back to a top club.
Liverpool made a surprise move for Gollini. Big money for a backup keeper or will Alison be on the move soon?Current careers:

Re: StlDucks career mode
(Going back to the old way I presented matches in PES 2020 for a bit. I like adding the images.)
Newcastle face Manchester United to try snapping their three game losing streak. The Magpies are 12th in the table while the Red Devils sit in sixth. Previously Newcastle went to Old Trafford and came away with a 2-1 victory.
Five changes for Newcastle from their loss to Everton three days ago. Callum Wilson is back in for Origi, Tuanzebe and Dummett get the starts showing a back four that will not be pushing forward and Darlow is back in goal. Man United are playing their usual XI with only Dan James starting over Greenwood as a change.
The only chance in the first half came from Saint-Maximin who tried beating Henderson to the far post but the United keeper was quick enough to get a hand to the shot and push it wide of the post.
The away side scored the first goal in the 64th minute when Alex Telles put in a high cross from the left wing that found Cavani unmarked in the box. Cavani connected on a lofted header to see his shot go just over Darlow and under the bar.
Minutes later Callum Wilson had a chance to equalize but Henderson stood strong and came up with another save. The follow up chance was also saved by Henderson from point-blank range.
Man United would see out the win 1-0. The loss is four in a row for Newcastle who will stay in 12th place in the table.

Re: StlDucks career mode
Newcastle travel to Brighton trying to stop a four match losing streak. Previously these two sides finished 1-1 at St. James Park.
Brighton started the match on the front foot, pinning Newcastle back and forcing chance after chance but not able to break through the defense. Newcastle countered in the 24th minute when Divock Origi was setup by Wilfried Zaha in the box to score the games first goal.
The match would stay 1-0 until the half. In the second half Adam Lallana came on and nearly drew level but his shot from outside the box was deflected and rolled just wide of the post.
Newcastle were able to see out the win and stop the longest losing streak of the season. The win keeps the hope of finishing 7th still alive for the Magpies.

Re: StlDucks career mode
Playing Football Manager is giving me the itch to play FIFA again. I have not put a whole lot of time in FIFA 22 lately but came up with an idea to keep it fresh and hopefully win something with Spurs like my career two years ago on PES...Current careers:

Re: StlDucks career mode
Story details before starting...
I made a number of transfers before starting the career to keep things fresh. I tried to not make too many transfers for one team but made transfers that have either been rumored or they happened in my FM save and I thought they worked well. This career is starting a year into the future so new teams are in the European competitions and new relegated/promoted sides.
